You see a wasp

Notes

Wasps are predacious insects that live in the grasslands and forests of Tibia. Using their poisonous sting they attack other animals. As they are very quick it is impossible to flee from them. If you hear their thrilling buzz, it is too late to escape. As their defence is quite weak you should try to do the first strike.

They have good attack but low defense. They are really fast (like level 60) and it is hard to escape from them. They usually live in groups in towers or undeground lairs. Their poison can deal up to 25 damage in total which can be dangerous for lower levels.

Location

South of Thais, west of Ab'Dendriel, northeastern Cormaya, Green Claw Swamp between Kazordoon and Venore, Wasp Tower in Rookgaard, Wasp Towers in Darashia, all over Tiquanda, and all over Vandura, roaming around Marapur.

Behaviour

They can retarget.

A wasp attacks in melee range. A wasp never retreats.

Strategy

Any Vocation Just attack them, they are weak for Level 8+
No Vocation Try not to get trapped by them. It's almost impossible to run from them, so if you see one and you are a low level or have poor equipment, run and try to get in a safe hole or ladder. This is the fastest monster you can face in Rookgaard.

History

As of November 16, 2011, Wasps as well as other poison-causing creatures can no longer be convinced. This was to prevent PvP abuse whereby a player would trick another player into convincing creatures that would later frag low level characters with poison applied earlier. After enough kills the player would obtain a Red Skull and would lose all items belonging to them upon being killed. More can be read in the news article "Content Fixes".
