Giving it some thought about the personal player odriel I think i figered out a idea that would cover both are ideas. I think im complaining about people like Sunshine becuase people just think there famous for being level 100 or so but when i read the rules it says a famous person that has a effect on the community. well you can be level 300 and people don't care and it dosent effect the community in any way exept there is a level 300 on the server. So rather then caring about there levels lets make it so its about there credibility to that server. For example a player that fought pkers and PA free.

mmk well next question is there anyway i can get another page for my user to talk about some stuff me and my friends done?

The thing that makes Sunrise unique is being the first player to reach level 100 on Rookgaard, and the fact that he owns a house from Rookgaard. No other player has done this, and from what I can tell, no other player will ever be able to do this.

If the only interesting thing about a character is a high level, then I agree. There is no reason to dedicate a page to someone just because of a high level. There needs to be something more.

About listing other characters, simply add a comment on the Characters talk page and explain why you think they should be listed. The admins can then decide if it is reasonable, and then they can add the person to the page. As simple as that.

To make a page about you and your friends, just make a sub-page of your user page. Something like your User:Maverick_the_hunter/Character page, but just call it "User:Maverick_the_hunter/Friends" or whatever. All other users can view these pages, but it will not "dirty up" the main article namespace, and you won't have to worry about other people ruthlessly editing the page (you can be banished for abusively editing another user's "user page").

About the outfits

Hello, could you look at my statement in Talk:Outfits, about Summoner and Mage Outfits, where I have proven my words, but i don't know will it be good if I'll edit articles without permission.

I have replied to the discussion there.

Regarding the force strike template calculator

Hiya. I was doing some tweaking into the calculators today and I have found that your calculator tells me that my character can only hit up to 105 with exori mort, while that is actually not true and it actually goes way beyond that, I hit 135 in a black knight yesterday. I have absolutely no aritmetic knowledge to help you out, but I thought I'd let you know about that. Thanks in advance!

I adjusted the max value for force strike, but it would be even more helpful to get more information. I took the level and magic level from your user page (assuming that is the level and magic level you were when you hit th BK for 135).

Thanks a lot Whitelaces, the calculation is perfect now. :)

Regarding the URLs and gameworlds description

Hey! It's me again. I have noticed that if you put the URLs at lower/upper caps erroneously it says that the page could not be found and therefore leaves to the blank page, while if you type the URL correctly it goes to the desired page. I was wondering, isn't there any way to ignore that upper caps/lower caps limit? Or.. how should I do if I find one of those? Should I do a #REDIRECT to the proper page?

Regarding the gameworlds, do you think it's any good if I made a more in-depth research showing the origin of the gameworlds names?

Thanks. -- Maverick the hunter

Sorry it took me so long to respond.

You are correct, article names are case-sensitive. This is an intentional part of MediaWiki (currently). There are two (actually similar) discussions about making MediaWiki case-insensitive:

http://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Case_insensitivity

http://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Case_sensitivity

Currently, there is no way to "change" this in the wiki (without altering ALOT of code). The best thing for us to do, is to make the actual articles correctly capitalized according to the established TibiaWiki:Standards, and to make redirects for common misspellings and incorrect capitalizations.

Redirects are cheap, but if the misspelling or incorrect capitalization is not very common, then there is no reason to use it.

About the gameworlds pages, without talking to someone at CIP that helped to name the server, there is really no way to know where they actually got the name from, but it may be interesting to know about words that might have contributed to the name of the gameworld. Any really dumb stuff will probably be removed pretty quickly, though (not just by me).

Ah, I get what you mean White. Yesterday me and a friend kept pondering about the various names of the gameworlds, and as I've seen, there are some articles about gameworlds that has irrelevant information, for example in the Rubera page, whereas it is written "Many wars have been fought....", which I don't find relevant to add. Do you want me to give a quick lookout in all the gameworlds and erase the unnecessary information, replacing by relevant information? I'd gladly do so, time is something I certainly do not lack :P And by the way, do you have MSN? I'd like to talk with you.

Thanks in advance, -- Maverick the hunter 10:24, 9 October 2006 (PDT)

Sorry for the delayed response. No, I don't have msn, but I do get on Google chat every once in a while when I check my email. Just email me sometime. If I'm on-line I'll jump onto chat.

If it says I'm online, but I don't respond... that means I don't recognize you, or I'm just ignoring you and don't want to chat. So don't be offended.

Hiatus?

Did you have a nice hiatus? I hope you're back because this wiki sucks without your oversight! ;) --Erig 04:20, 27 October 2006 (PDT)

Sorry about that. RL always gets in the way of my Tibia time ;)

My Tibia motivation level was pretty low, too. I think I'm back now. It's nice to know I was missed!

Anyway, gratz on being bureaucrat ='( Edwin de waterman  => Talk <=  Profile ·_· Contribs <·> 07:03, 27 October 2006 (PDT) <·>

Whoa.... sweet!

I don't know what being a bureaucrat means for my wiki involvement, but it sounds important. Maybe it's like an honorary doctorate... where you don't actually take any classes, but they give you a degree anyway  ;)

/me starts to cry, patrolled all edits except for userpages, tears may come now --Edwin de waterman 15:29, 28 October 2006 (PDT)

:)

I do that almost every day (except weekends). Helps me to stay up-to-date on wiki discussions, and also general Tibia knowledge.
