Hall of Lost Doors Images Lost

It seems that back on 18 September you deleted some pictures that were in use on Hall of Lost Doors. They were deleted with the reason for "Housekeeping: old and unused file" although they were still in use in that article. It seems that although the images can be seen on that article, the image page gives no indication that they are used on any articles. For now i will add their use on each image. --DM ><((°> Contribs <°))>< talk to me 02:15, 25 December 2008 (UTC)

It looks like MediaWiki does not like the spoiler extension, when the images are taken out, they'll link properly. -- Sixorish 02:58, 25 December 2008 (UTC)

Thanks for fixing the siTenotice. I saw I was doing it wrong and searched for documentation, but couldn't find it. Is there an overview of all Mediawiki pages and their function? ^^ Bennie (talk ~ fellows) ^^ 15:23, 25 December 2008 (UTC)

Probably won't be very helpful though (big list, a lot of which mere editors can't edit) -- Sixorish 15:41, 25 December 2008 (UTC)

also something to keep in mind: there are no doubt some mediawiki files that Wikia have given to us to work with Monaco, which probably won't be listed on there. -- Sixorish 15:44, 25 December 2008 (UTC)

Thanks, it's a bit helpful, but indeed a big list. Maybe I ask it to the Wikia Staff sometime, they might have a better list somewhere. ^^ Bennie (talk ~ fellows) ^^ 08:31, 26 December 2008 (UTC)

just found this: mw:Category:Interface messages, a little less confusing I guess. -- Sixorish 10:18, 26 December 2008 (UTC)

Old Sprites

I don't know why you removed piece of iron and rotten meat from Old Sprites, then I readded them.
If you can't zoom in them to see that they aren't duplicates/identical, I made two gifs with old and current versions of piece of iron and rotten meat:
Piece of Iron versions.gif Rotten Meat versions.gif

<·> Hunter of Dragoes <·> My Talk <·> My Contributions <·> 16:10, 30 December 2008 (UTC)

I didn't know the piece of iron wasn't a duplicate (I had that answered for me at the images talk page), and the two different rotten meat sprites gave me warnings when I tried to upload them, so I trusted MediaWiki and thought they were duplicates. or maybe I saved the same ones.. anyway, thanks for correcting me. -- Sixorish 17:21, 30 December 2008 (UTC)

About Calmera

sorry but you edit calmera with wrong informations you can check on tibiabr , i'm the second blocker (Zerus Soldier) of fifth calmerian ghazbaran. and the players who threw magic all are : Dack furia and Lord might elf the user waress is astril of calmera too ,, but we are enemy because it he is editing my name and the name of your friends dack furia and lord might elf. you can see too the old edit of elder anjus , with correct informations

What do you mean by 'I edited wrong information'? I only removed some of the bias. -- Sixorish 18:38, 1 January 2009 (UTC)

cuz you forget my name =[

Well that was the bias I removed, but I guess you can re-add it seeing as how there's the other names there...many, many other names. -- Sixorish 19:20, 1 January 2009 (UTC)

I have added the information about the winged helmet that you deleted. If you do not believe that there is one on calmera then log on and message Silver Skan. He will show it to you. He is very proud of it :) He showed it to me, told me that it was a gift that he recieved several years ago. Rage of morpheus 14:13, 3 April 2009 (UTC)

After five years of playing Calmera I am quite certain it's false, Calmera was created after it was possible to get, and CIP doesn't give people rare items for no reason without announcing it. -- Sixorish 22:29, 3 April 2009 (UTC)

I am telling the truth, although you would not believe it unless you checked for yourself, which is easy for you since you play on Calmera. Just ask him to see it and the debate will be over with. Rage of morpheus 20:47, 7 April 2009 (UTC)

Reponse to Your Post

Yet aging Sixorish you answer my questions before I even ask them. ^_^

Regarding the image I thought as much and in the event that they do I'll simply add (Custom) to my image to keep it separate.

On a side note what do you think of my custom image? I took the female Brotherhood of Bones outfit with the hood and added the raised arm of scythe addon and added Ferumbras' Staff, created a hand to hold it and colored her outfit red.

It still needs some more work part of the staff is a bit choppy at the base where Ferumbras was holding it orignally and the hand is rather crude. I want to add some addtional colors to her outfit as well. ^_^

Thanks aging,

I'm glad you liked the image and yes that part about her soul being imprisoned is official lore, taken from Ferumbras' page. When it refers to "a brave group of Knights" I personally think it's none other then the Nightmare Knights themselves since just knights as in the vocation could not have imprisoned her alone. ^_^

Btw- what do you think of her stats, abilities, and loot? I figured being the daughter of Ferumbras her father would have taught her his evil tricks of the trade and then she created a few of her own, like the "Force Shield" ability.

I also redid the staff it looks much better now. If you have any suggestions for her or any of my other ideas please let me know. ^_^

Exactly, Im just searching for pages with incorrect npcvalues and I thought that would be the easiest way.

_Unlocked template

Hello, are you some sort of special user who's able to edit locked sites? Well, the big problem is, that the discussion site of the mosnter template obviously like never was changed but we need to edit it that way, so we can enter % of the elemental modifiers. Neutral to fire would be 100%. Weak can be anything of 101% to 9999% (That is the % damage done with that element compared to the standard damage)

Even more important with that we also have the option to see and show monsters who are normal to some element, they are also worthy to hunt with that element.

But I am no special user and can't edit the normal monster template neither do I know how to become such a special user or whom to message to become one.

So I created these _Unlocked templates to have a temporary mean to find the best solution for the two necessary things it has to comply (ability to show "neutral" elements and the ability to enter the damage modifiers with a number to use in DPL)

Either I use that Unlocked template and then migrate all monsters to that template or I get special status to modify the monster template.. Maybe you can help me with this?

NeWsOfTzzz 13:29, 13 January 2009 (UTC)

You probably tried to edit a protected page, which can only be edited by administrators. The standard way is to explain what you want to change, and some admin can do that for you. ^^ Bennie (talk ~ fellows) ^^ 15:08, 13 January 2009 (UTC)

Does the current template not already support what you want, NeWsOfTzzz? I can understand what benefits it would have to add parameters for every element, but it would also clutter pages up (7 parameters is a lot) -- Sixorish 17:52, 13 January 2009 (UTC)

I wasn't done with the template, those parameters could be done in 2-3 lines. (like there is now 3 lines: weak, strong and immune). So wouldn't actually clutter anything up. You got any IM service like Jabber, ICQ, MSN? Would be better to discuss this fast. NeWsOfTzzz 11:23, 14 January 2009 (UTC)

I think it would be better to keep this on here; that way other admins can read the discussion and have their opinions on it. See Toad - does the (-20%) not fit your needs? -- Sixorish 16:56, 14 January 2009 (UTC)

Toad does not fit my needs..

1) I can not see anywhere which creature has the highest weakness to ice so I can not properly decide which to hunt.

2) I can not see which creatures with ice weakness have not yet been tested for the % modifier, so I could test the % modifier (I was actually the first one who introduced the % modifier into TibiaWiki, I was the one who first tested by % and wrote this into brackets (always meant this number in brackets as a temporary mean, but it wasn't changed until today). You can see it for example here where I posted about that already: Template_talk:Infobox_Creature but nothing was done until today).

Okay, look at the Bear! I've migrated it to the unlocked template, and it's absolutely cool. Before we needed 3 lines, now we only need 1 line (well small resolutions need 2 lines)! So it is better than before. Plus all the benefits I told about. Additionally I've kept the old 3 arguments invisible in the template (weakagainst, strongagainst, immuneto) so all lists that work with those deprecated arguments won't stop working, we may delete those arguments as soon as all monsters are migrated to the new system!

I've even thought about unknown values and as you can see they're there now DPL compatible as "99%<?" or "101%>?" (if all nondigits stand behind the number then you can still use things like sorting by number and so). Now we would just need to make the lists like this:

"fireDmgMod < 100 && fireDmgMod > 0" would mean all monsters who are strong against fire.

"fireDmgMod == 100" would mean all monsters who are neutral against fire. (We didn't have a neutral against list before, this is one of the great benefits)

"fireDmgMod > 100" would mean all monsters who are weak against fire.

"fireDmgMod == 0" would mean all monsters who are immune against fire.

So I think this is the perfect solution, no cluttering, even more space than before (before we needed 3 lines, now 1-2). Ability to use those values in DPL, ability to also see neutral elementals and to see nontested values (nontested values would be like this "fireDmgMod == 99%<?" or "fireDmgMod == 99", need to work into that as I've never worked with DPL before)

Really hope we gonna introduce this on a large-scale.

NeWsOfTzzz 07:01, 15 January 2009 (UTC)

What I meant by "multiple lines" is the creature pages themselves.. e.g:

| physicalDmgMod = 100%
| holyDmgMod = 99%<?
| deathDmgMod = 101%>?
| fireDmgMod = 100%
| energyDmgMod = 100%
| iceDmgMod = 110%
| earthDmgMod = 100%

-- this will only make it confusing for editors. also if you don't mind, please test things in a subpage of your user-page in future.. -- Sixorish 07:39, 15 January 2009 (UTC)

1) I didn't test anything, it's done and usable

2) I improved the bear page. Please tell me the reason to revert it. As reverting should only be applied to DISimprovements (see standard Wiki rules). See: Help:Reverting

3) The multiple lines of the creature page itself may also be written into one line if you wish so..

But anyway, come on, you can't tell me that this structured and easy to overview area in the source would confuse anyone?

NeWsOfTzzz 07:48, 15 January 2009 (UTC)

The wiki standard says nothing of 'rules against reverting'... they do however state that the current version of the Template:Infobox Creature is to be used; if changes are to be made other users would need to agree on it before changes are made, if changes are to be made I'm almost certain there are more appropriate ways to deal with such a thing. -- Sixorish 07:56, 15 January 2009 (UTC)

I just saw your most recent edit; the Help:Reverting page was created by me.. I think I may have seen it already... It's intended to be a guideline on what to revert, and is by no means a 'rule'. -- Sixorish 08:08, 15 January 2009 (UTC)

Okay, then let's make a decision NOW.

And there is NO more appropriate way unless you sacrifice one of the several benefits we have with that way. I don't even understand your problem, "the source is too complicated now"? There is not a SINGLE disadvantage with the system I built. Not a SINGLE. Just that the editors don't have to put certain elemental modifiers into one of the 3 rows and then putting the % value just manually into brackets for other ppl to see. No, now we have a clear and structured way of all 7 elementals to be edited and seen, but this is too complicated? Just because there are 4 more lines now? Maybe those lines make it even easier, already thought that way?

But you're right, all those changes should be edited into the real Template:Infobox_Creature and Template:Infobox_Creature- so I demand them to be unlocked as Erig just told me via Email ("You can ask any Administrator to temporarily unlock the templates you are interested in.") that I should ask an Administrator to unlock that page for me to edit those things in. So please do that.

NeWsOfTzzz 08:15, 15 January 2009 (UTC)

If there's any way we can get more DPLable information out of a template, we should do it. You can debate with each other which format it should take, but the data should definitely be in there and accessible by DPL.

Now, as far as editing a live page, I agree that it was the wrong approach to take and the revert was appropriate. You could have as easily linked to a User page showing the example. --Erig 08:29, 15 January 2009 (UTC)

"Now, as far as editing a live page, I agree that it was the wrong approach to take"

May be true, but I took serious precaution and used the "preview" feature to make sure nothing is broken. But okay, if it's not allowed I can stick to it.

"You can debate with each other which format it should take"

Okay, now a serious explanation why it's not possible to have a "more appropriate format" as Sixorish stated before. To be usable by DPL each variable has to be specified. So for 7 variables it's impossible to have less than 7 assignments. So it is NOT possible to have less than 7 arguments and it's NOT possible to do this any other way with DPL, (you could maybe regex this out of the brackets but that'd be the worst coding praxis ever, possibly disabling some of the benefits and taking about 50 times more CPU resources.)

"If there's any way we can get more DPLable information out of a template, we should do it."

Great that you're agreeing with me on that. Especially because the writing of the % modifier into brackets was my idea, as I was the first one doing so, and I immediately wrote into the template discussion so it would be coded into the template itself, until today nothing happened and all just used my bracket idea (which is also the worst praxis there is available).

PS: Please write here as soon as the Template:Infobox_Creature is unlocked so I can start migrating all creatures. Else please develop a solution that has all benefits that my solution has but is "more appropriate", as a professional coder I'd be really eager to see your (for me unimaginable) solution process.

NeWsOfTzzz 08:37, 15 January 2009 (UTC)

I was considering using the #explode parserfunction with the DPL; whether it would work or not I would need to test, but since I have no time and, apparently you don't either - I will change it. I (for one) think viewers would prefer the "Immune to" "Strong against" and "Weak against" because it's much easier to understand than the "Damage modifiers" you're using. Nonetheless since I really have no time today, I'll just change it to your version and wait for other users' to whine about it, hopefully by then I'll actually have time to deal with it properly. -- Sixorish 08:52, 15 January 2009 (UTC)

Change has been made; have fun updating the hundreds of creature pages, sir.
..and this, is why I don't give my IM addresses to randoms. -- Sixorish 09:02, 15 January 2009 (UTC)

It's very bad that you didn't unlock as requested, since further additions are necessary (for example lifeDrainDmgMod and drownDmgMod - Plus we need a solution for things like invisible and paralyze, there is only yes/no, would be no need to implement as a damage modifier). But anyway I started migrating the monsters and since I won't delete the old variables (they'll just be invisible after migrating), all information is still in the monsters and we may migrate those later on.

NeWsOfTzzz 10:05, 15 January 2009 (UTC)

Unprotected. There are other admins you can abuse if my assistance does not suffice, thanks. -- Sixorish 10:20, 15 January 2009 (UTC)

Thanks and don't take this personal as you were just the first the one who posted on my discussion site and Erig said that for such changes I don't need the Administrator status (I asked for it so I don't have to annoy you Admins) :)

I think I'll be done tomorrow, then I'll message here to lock it up again.

NeWsOfTzzz 10:23, 15 January 2009 (UTC)

Don't take it personal? I tell you to hold on and give other users a chance to say something and you give me this "I demand an admin to unlock this page NOW" crap, how am I suppose to take it? I would like to suggest you take a look at your quote from Erig once more; "You can ask any Administrator to temporarily unlock the templates you are interested in." - this does not mean we must be your slave and do it, we will consider it, but we are NOT tied to any responsibilities, especially that of being your slaves.

Don't even bother leaving a message to have it re-protected; it has been unprotected for this long and has not once been vandalized.
Good day, Sixorish 10:52, 15 January 2009 (UTC)

Seems like you got a really false impression of my post, first reread it, I said "I should ask an Administrator to unlock the page [...] please do that".

I just said I want the decision now, but why? Not because I don't want to wait for comments, I did that for 14 months! I waited since december 2007 for a comment on my suggestion (it's in the discussion page of the monster template), so I think I've already waited long enough and it's just legit to demand a decision now, because I'm obviously the only one interested in improving that elemental thingie.

PS: I still can't edit the Monster template because it's included into the main page, that actually means I'll never be able to edit it unless Administrator. Well gonna ask Erig about that, otherwise I'll be forced to annoy you again soon :')

NeWsOfTzzz 11:18, 15 January 2009 (UTC)

Cascading protection is off. I tried re-reading but I get stuck at "so I demand them..." - we aren't your slaves, if it's that urgent email Erig and have him unprotect the damn thing. -- Sixorish 11:57, 15 January 2009 (UTC)

Hmm, just reread my post and I must apologize for it, I was heated and kinda demanding (what a wordplay!), so sorry for that.

And thanks for the final unlocking :)

NeWsOfTzzz 12:38, 15 January 2009 (UTC)

I just read this discussion and it kinda made me laugh :) If I am honest though, I liked the old system better (you don't have to post all benefits again). Ok, but my point is: why do you spam sixorish on his talkpage, while this is an issue which concerns the whole tibiawiki community? You should have asked if people were before or against it, on a more public page like TibiaWiki:Community Portal or Template talk:Infobox Creature. People would have a few days to give their opinions. If it was a small change, for one page or a few pages it would matter less, it could be easily reverted if too much criticism was given. This change includes quite a lot of pages, reverting everything is much work. One other note: most important is what people like best. Staying to the element system, we used to have small icons of the elements, people could see all immunities in one glance. Then Cip introduced weakness and strongness against elements, and we changed it to the current version. This was already harder to understand, but still within reach. The system you propose might be technically very good, but is even harder to understand and to read. So we have to make your new system easier to understand, or revert everything back. ^^ Bennie (talk ~ fellows) ^^ 15:48, 15 January 2009 (UTC)

"You should have asked if people were before or against it, on a more public page like TibiaWiki:Community Portal or Template talk:Infobox Creature"

I asked at Template talk:Infobox Creature 14 months ago, as I stated above! December 2007. Whatever, I can't understand why it's harder to understand, it looks just the same as before for the reader. The element and the % of damage. It wasn't any other way before.

But before you want to revert please wait till tomorrow and then stick to your own rules and make a democratic vote.

NeWsOfTzzz 15:53, 15 January 2009 (UTC)

Let's continue this discussion here. ^^ Bennie (talk ~ fellows) ^^ 16:09, 15 January 2009 (UTC)

Template unlock request

I ask you to please unlock this template, because I've coded the "dropped by" field to be generated automatically by DPL, this would save editors lots of work.

Example: http://tibia.wikia.com/wiki/User:NeWsOfTzzz/test5

Note: Instead of the "•" I can also use "," then it would look the same as before. But I think "•" is looking more professional and nicer.

Posible Scam

Could you block from eddits Glacier Kilt and Ornamented Axe some people eddited them saying first that those items are droped by ferumbras then they say that Wyrms and Ice Witch don't drop it anymore then changed that rashid don't buy those items now, then changed prices 250k. Yet I don't know if all that is true but odds are is a scam, people in my server that sell those items (for 200k or more) say they don't loot them any more, but they keep having more and more for sale (my guess they still loteable and they geting rich and not telling people they loteable). Why would CIP make glasier kilt and ornamented axe selleable to rashid if they are only looteable from Ferumbras?

re: spam-blacklist

Can the wiki block a word combination? Like that hacker he always change the link but he always say the same think, if theres a way for example to block from an eddit if some one write this words "server ignore the flagging" he will be unable to eddit for a long time till he figure out how to fix it. If this is posible selfdestruct (delete it) this menssage so the hacker does not read it.
Kwigon the sharpshooter 14:25, 21 January 2009 (UTC)

Even if we could, think of the false positives if we blocked random words. and since the triggered string is mentioned in the blocked message, they would be able to find out easily. nonetheless all ".pl" links except tibia.pl have been blocked (but some more will come later if people bring them up) this should make it occur less -- Sixorish 14:56, 21 January 2009 (UTC)

Hi :) I noticed that on the quests page that the yalaharian outfits isnt with the "mainland outfit quests", I cant change it because the page is locked. This isnt important but there also isnt an obtained outfits template for yalahar quest. And about uploading images, When I change the format from .jpg to .gif the images lose their quality. I use paint because I dont want to download a program that I'll rarely use. I uploaded Tamerin in both formats (still has the background).. And lastly.. Is there a page where people can talk to any of the admin? Not just on their talk pages. beejay 19:39, 21 January 2009 (UTC)

The In Service of Yalahar Quest page needed the "type" parameter for that (quest page now uses DPL). as for the admin talk, you could try Talk:Administrator Team. -- Sixorish 19:58, 21 January 2009 (UTC)

I see, thanks. :) beejay 20:18, 21 January 2009 (UTC)

Recent hack attempts

Hi, I'm getting tired of people editing the quest pages into hack attempts. Isn't it possible to make a list with allowed urls instead of making a list of urls that aren't allowed? Like only allow links to tibia.com and the supported fansites? That should decrease the hack attempts a lot.
Nevaran 10:13, 22 January 2009 (UTC)

see MediaWiki:Spam-blacklist. this is why I don't want to block the entire web from being linked to; we could put a few hundred entries on the MediaWiki:Spam-whitelist unfortunately that gives abusers even more opportunities... I won't block the major ones yet but I won't hesitate to do that if they become a problem. -- Sixorish 10:32, 22 January 2009 (UTC)

Ah, ok. That makes sense.

Wiki Code

Hi Sixorish, Since I searched myself but couldn't find it I'm asking you. Do you know documentation or explanation for wiki template code, like all those {{{ and ! (accolades exclamation marks). I'm still trying to make the Hunting Place template as I want it so I can add it to all pages and put a list template on Hunting Places. The main problem is the creature/npc list infoboxes are set to 100% width and do not fit besides the hunting place template, but setting them to less than 100% didn't work very good either. Well, I keep looking for now. ^^ Bennie (talk ~ fellows) ^^ 06:45, 23 January 2009 (UTC)

I think ! = bold text. 06:53, 23 January 2009 (UTC)

I'm not sure if there is any 'official' documentation, you can find some quick tutorials on wikipedia but that's about it.
{{{abc}}} indicates "parameter usage" i.e

| abc = def

if Template:test contained {{{abc}}} it would render "def".
! is literally "table header" (<th>) when used inside wiki tables, table header text is bolded and it's not necessarily the wiki which does that. -- Sixorish 07:01, 23 January 2009 (UTC)

Ok, thanks. I just read some usefull things on Help:Template and also found a special page we don't have yet but looks quite usefull, Special:ExpandTemplates. Although I thought we had the most recent version of mediawiki installed, so I think it's weird we don't have that special page. You think we could get it (like installing an extension)? ^^ Bennie (talk ~ fellows) ^^ 07:07, 23 January 2009 (UTC)

I don't think we have the latest version actually, MediaWiki.org is using "1.14alpha" and we're using "1.13.3"; though the later revisions are probably not the most stable, so it's hard to tell. Also, Wikia no doubt limit us in some ways, and judging what I just read, it could probably be used fraudulently and negatively effect server performance (expanding templates beyond the set limitation would mean looped templates go on forever). You'd have to ask Wikia/the MW developers what it does and what it would take to get it (if you think it's important), for all we know Wikia may have limited us from using it for performance reasons -- Sixorish 07:19, 23 January 2009 (UTC)

About the list templates, it works like this:
listing page has the first (empty) parameter "List" which goes to the (creatures/npcs/items) page,
(creature/npc/item) page has a parameter "List={{{1|}}}" which is 'sent' to the templates page along with all the parameters set; if it's EMPTY then it displays the table which is visible on Troll for example; otherwise it transcludes the Template:Infobox .../{{{1|}}} template (see Template:Infobox Creature/List for example). It's tough to explain, I'll give an example:
Troll: {{Infobox_Creature|List={{{1|}}}|GetValue={{{GetValue|}}}
<parameters removed to save space>
(note the List={{{1|}}} - {{:Troll|List}}
Template:Infobox Creature:
{{#ifeq:{{{List|}}}||<table ...>
(lit: if {{{List|}}} returns blank; display a table)
|{{Infobox_Creature/{{{List}}}|immunities={{{immunities|None.}}}|<parameters removed to save space>
(lit: else if it isn't blank; expand "Template:Infobox Item/{{{List}}}") this means that, if you previewed for example Troll article:
{{Infobox_Creature|List=List|GetValue={{{GetValue|}}} (notice the List=List instead of {{{1|}}}) it would display the /List template instead of the table. I hope this makes things a little clearer, you'll probably want to play with it for a while to get a better understanding. -- Sixorish 07:40, 23 January 2009 (UTC)

Actually an exception to this is the NPC template, it does not have the same support for List={{{1|}}} as the others do, instead it does this:
which is literally: "on pages transcluding (lists), don't expand the normal Template:Infobox NPC, but rather whatever Template:Infobox NPC/{{{1}}} is (usually {{{1}}} = List or Featured). -- Sixorish 07:54, 23 January 2009 (UTC)

It took me some courage to start reading this, but now I just did. When you said {{{def}}} is "parameter usage" I understood. But what would mean {{{List|}}}. If I remember correct a | (pipe) means "or" in PHP (not that I assume PHP is the same as wiki markup but it would be logical program languages are in some ways similar). I just think I got it parameter1={{{value1|alternate value}}}. So according to the #ifeq thing two pipes || would mean "else"? I think I'm getting it a bit. This page helps too. ^^ Bennie (talk ~ fellows) ^^ 10:00, 27 January 2009 (UTC)

It is that, pretty much. {{{List|}}} is literally "List's value if there is one, or (blank) if there isn't. The reason for the pipe is because if it was omitted it would act as if the lists param value was {{{List}}} (instead of blank). in other words, the template which compares it with a blank param will return false and [[Template:Infobox Creature/{{{List}}}]] would be "loaded" which can not even exist in page titles, hence the link not working. -- Sixorish 10:51, 27 January 2009 (UTC)

Mana not showing up anymore when using [Template:Infobox_Spell]

Heylo Six~!

I saw you edited something with the mana in Template:Infobox_Spell two days ago. I don't know that coding so I don't know what it means, but at the moment mana cost doesn't show up (only shows "(uses mana)"). Do you think you could have a look at it?

Noinclude Tags

When having noinclude tags in an infobox and the infobox is used in a dpl list, they are ignored. This is annoying and appears on most Objects pages. I remember you said something about a bug earlier, is there a known work-around? Other code which does the same? ^^ Bennie (talk ~ fellows) ^^ 06:46, 12 February 2009 (UTC)

Actually after understanding it, it doesn't sound like a bug anymore (albeit annoying). The only way to remove them is to put it under a different parameter, omit them entirely, or replace them with manual lists -- Sixorish 07:08, 12 February 2009 (UTC)

Well, to omit them is not a real solution and I don't think I know how to do the other 2 options. A different parameter, you mean in the template? Replace them with manual lists, you mean instead of dpl (that could work since we don't need dpl in most lists anyway). ^^ Bennie (talk ~ fellows) ^^ 13:23, 12 February 2009 (UTC)

Gravel Tile uses noinclude tags in the "walkingspeed" param, if the stuff inside of those tags were separated (e.g by using a walkingspeednote param) it could be displayed like it is without effecting DPL. However it's inefficient to do that. As DM said here (and I agree with him), the noinclude tags contents "Four fifths" "of normal walking speed" aren't necessary. About the DPL lists, I'd actually like to keep them for now unless the lists are complete. Since the object pages are far from complete, we'd need to update them manually a lot as new pages are created. -- Sixorish 21:21, 12 February 2009 (UTC)

Flower Pots

Hello, I have a question, shouldn't all the possible fully grown plants that can get out of a flower pot have an own page? Like dryad's heart for example. Cause recently a player on Chimera managed to get a plant that isn't on wiki, and after asking on Chimera board it seems like none has one nor has seen one. I saw someone updated the Chimera page(rares) and now the link doesn't work since no such page exists. I will upload the sprite and the Text on the Flower Pot page as soon as possible, but I just figured it would make sense to have separate pages for every kind of plants. Or what do you think? Kseni Of Chimera

We already have it for many items/objects, and they are indeed different from the normal flower pots. Feel free to create the articles for them. -- Sixorish 23:25, 22 February 2009 (UTC)

It says: 23:58 You see a flower pot. It weighs 1.50 oz. There is a fully grown fairy dancer flower in it.

And only the last line is different depending on the plant. So they are kinda the same object even though they look totally different. Kseni Of Chimera 23:38, 22 February 2009 (UTC)

Well I guess you can create them with titles like Flower Pot (Fairy Dancer) etc. if you like -- Sixorish 00:10, 23 February 2009 (UTC)

Maybe you should protect your user page, someone vandalized it, because you deleted their pictures (you said something like, if they never return, they won't even see it, otherwise we can restore them). Maybe leaving a note in the future is better? I don't know. ^^ Bennie (talk ~ fellows) ^^ 07:42, 20 March 2009 (UTC)

About Stairhopping

The Djinn quests, at least blue djinn needs to be edited (stairhopping should be removed on mission 3). I can't do it 'cus it's protected. Would be good if you can delete it on the green djinn quest too :) // Coohie

Good point, all notes to stairhopping in hunting strategies must be deleted or replaced with a note it is not possible anymore. Everyone can help with this, on non-protected pages :) ^^ Bennie (talk ~ fellows) ^^ 16:09, 20 March 2009 (UTC)

It may be wise to remove the protection given that a number of those articles need updating, but I won't be around a lot, so unless there's enough people to revert vandalism it'll be risky (unless Uberfuzzy's bot is still functioning) -- Sixorish 06:33, 2 April 2009 (UTC)

It's ok if you are less active, it's a bit weird there always need to be an admin around to block vandalizers. Therefore, I was thinking of another solution (probably already brought up by someone, I do not claim anything), instead of blacklisting bad links, whitelinking good links and blacklinking the rest. Or was the problem partly the mediawiki didn't block it if the links were put in as plain text? ^^ Bennie (talk ~ fellows) ^^ 06:41, 2 April 2009 (UTC)

Exactly right, the local blacklist requires hyperlinks to apply, although there is a text-based filter, only Wikia can adjust it, and if I am correct it applies to every wiki. It would be horrible for them to maintain a text-based filter like this. They create tons of wikis per week, with just about every wiki they'll want to externally link to another site, and this causes problems. -- Sixorish 06:47, 2 April 2009 (UTC)

Is it possible to limit the amount of edits a new account can make until they reach a certain number of edits or "age" (for selected wikis maybe)? If admins dont have alot of time at the moment and if it is possible it is just a thought..I wouldnt suggest a major limit but I think a new user shouldnt be able to make over 100 edits in a day. beejay 07:24, 2 April 2009 (UTC)

No limit like that is implemented in MediaWiki; it wasn't designed to restrict people. Wikipedia and most of Wikia wikis allow anonymous IP editors, but we're 'special' and have IP editors blocked, and this is the most protection we can get. -- Sixorish 07:50, 2 April 2009 (UTC)

I understand, it was just a thought. :) beejay 08:41, 2 April 2009 (UTC)

About some user articles.

I've seen some attempt to make a unsupported(and illegal under Tibia Rules) fansite to a supported one. Just look at this user pages : User:TibiaCash24 and User:MagicWorldTrade. Those are illegal website as they advertise ingame items for cash. They cannot advertise links to their websites as they would be banned, so they've created profiles in here. Is there a way to prevent this situation? Thanks! StradvariusTibiawiki.png T C 16:22, 20 March 2009 (UTC)

I have deleted the content on both of their user pages since they clearly violates Tibia Rules 3c. I do not see a reason to block either now unless they continue to advertise. Perhaps the account name itself should be removed, since if their names would be advertising if they actually contributed. We would have to ask the Wiki staff about that.
--DM ><((°> Contribs <°))>< talk to me 20:21, 20 March 2009 (UTC)

I have looked again at User:MagicWorldTrade, at the users request, and it appears the website is world trade only. While world trading items is not illegal, it is risky. Do you think the deletion should be undone. (question not specific to you Six, just on your talk page). --DM ><((°> Contribs <°))>< talk to me 02:04, 23 March 2009 (UTC)

I don't think it means anything if it's just items:items and doesn't violate the real-life money advert, you'll have to talk to the other admins about it. -- Sixorish 06:33, 2 April 2009 (UTC)

Dragon Edit

Hello, Sixorish,

I can't edit Dragon's page because it's protected. Can you edit for me? All I can change is the rarity. First of all, I never saw a dragon drop two Green Dragon Leathers (never, when I hunted them, when I watched videos of dragon hunts). Second, the order is wrong. It's common - rare - semi-rare - very-rare.

I think you can do that.

Manjyome Black - March 9th, 2009 - 09:08 GMT-3

Hmm, I didn't see that coming; it appears to be protected because the Beggar Outfits Quest/Spoiler and Vampire Shield Quest/Spoiler are transcluding them to from the list. I'll make the change to the quantity, but I'm not sure what you mean when you say the order is wrong. The order we use is common - semi - rare - very, and it's in that exact order. -- Sixorish 14:08, 9 April 2009 (UTC)

Ok, then. But I still think that the order (common to most rare) is better than this order.

Uhm, semi- means 'partly' meaning it's 'not quite rare' so it is common ->most rare. -- Sixorish 08:54, 12 April 2009 (UTC)

Template idea

Since 8.4, with the party channel added, more and more people started adding loot statistics. With that new addition, it became interesting to add a new template to uniform all those loot pages (i saw not less then 4 differents type of loot pages that ppl created). I would be up to create that template but i didnt found how :p. As well, it could be nice to have a link from the loot page to the creature page writting (more official then just adding (loot stats) at the end of loot list :p). Finally, would be great to add in the Creature template a spot that write down the avg gp per monster including items that can be sold to npc. Here are 2 nice exemple of template that i saw.

Hi, I saw your email; I have already begun working on a template (see it in use here) but I cannot guarantee it'll be implemented on articles (at least in this form). Feel free to comment on it, and thanks for making suggestions on improving TibiaWiki! -- Sixorish 14:18, 9 April 2009 (UTC)

Postman Quest

In this Quest, in the article No. 2 that says: Ask Hugo about 'new uniforms' and 'new dress pattern'. He will say that he has no idea where Kevin got it from, and send you back. , you don't need to ask about new uniforms.

Have you seen the transcripts of it? Kevin tells you to consult Hugo about the new uniforms. I'm not saying you're wrong, but to be on the safe side we should probably avoid removing trivial stuff. (it doesn't hurt to mention it) -- Sixorish 09:09, 12 April 2009 (UTC)

I'll make the changes in a sec, do you intend on using the class 'toccolours' for anything? I'm not sure if we or Wikia use a class by that name, and it may cause style issues in the future if we are... -- Sixorish 14:58, 18 April 2009 (UTC)

Random::Chat::Contributions::Tibicam Profile

15:04, 18 April 2009 (UTC)

Oh, was looking at the wrong one when judging that, my bad. there's a few things with yours I'll change:

  1. align isn't a CSS property, and align="right" already aligns it (so I'll remove that)
  2. divs shouldn't be in table rows (according to w3c, even though it's possible on some nonstandard DTDs).. will change it to a floating span.
  3. the div containing the table wasn't closed (or did you intend that..?)
  4. it appears that the whitespace in the parser function used for the /History (#ifexist) does not render, will change it to &nbsp;

15:39, 23 April 2009 (UTC)

I'm not sure exactly but I assume it is because you can only use one content variable per sortable-parameter (head). After thought, it would be difficult or impossible to achieve that, because you cannot sort two "content columns" if it is in a single column of the head. The only ideal way to do that is to use two columns. Then it comes down to flexibility vs. user friendliness/tidiness. -- Sixorish 04:21, 24 April 2009 (UTC)

Quest Template

User:Craggles/sandbox2 anything wrong with the code - and would using BASEPAGENAME force consistency between the quest page and it's spoiler page for history
Random::Chat::Contributions::Tibicam Profile
16:09, 28 April 2009 (UTC)

Yes, BASEPAGENAME should do that. The only things that I can see wrong with your template would not negatively effect it. And you also removed the categories on the bottom of Template:Infobox Quest (why?) I'm not quite sure what you changed exactly... -- Sixorish 22:49, 28 April 2009 (UTC)

I tried to normalise it for the rest of the wiki, it should state whether the quest is premium top right now, aswell as if it has history; like the other infoboxes we have. I also got rid of the categories and documentation just for the purposes of editing the table on it's own. I just rather work without them there.

I don't know how to give more info than this, so i took a ss of my internet explorer and added it here. if it take too much space in ur page you can delete it or, if you can't delete it, answer me like you did last time and i delete.

The image seems to have been deleted on January 28 this year by Bennie. Are you still seeing it (and where?)? -- Sixorish 07:27, 4 May 2009 (UTC)

Sorry, there might be a little confusion here: you want the image and all traces gone completely from the database (including its name)? I'm afraid that isn't possible, it has been deleted, and, like every other deleted image, article et cetera, are stored in a 'virtual database' in the sense only sysops and higher can view them. The only thing normal users can access is the name to find that it has been deleted (if you're a really good guesser) so I'm not sure why you're concerned. Is it that personal? -- Sixorish 07:44, 4 May 2009 (UTC)

Time for deletion after schedull

Sixorish if that image can be deleted at least to the eyes of regular players it would fit my needs at the moment. But i cheked today that the image of Zarabustor i uploaded is still available to every person in the list of uploaded images.

Trying to express better, i had uploaded a image about hellgate and it got deleted by bennie, if it was possible to do the same with the one about Zarabustor would be great.

I cheked you have a page explaining how to delete images. After read it i did what said there, but i was curious how long untill they get deleted after schedull.

(Maguu 17:19, 4 May 2009 (UTC))

Honestly? whenever an admin wants to clean up Category:Images for deletion or Category:Delete Requests... I'll delete it now, I thought you meant the one which was already deleted. -- Sixorish 18:02, 4 May 2009 (UTC)
