I made Account on tibia.wikia. I hope that our guild people come here.

Well, I thought I'd just write it here: My main char (on Galana) seems to be hunted for well, no reason actually, and since I didn't want to get involved with the war over there, 2 real-life friends of mine and I decided to go to Inferna. So from now on, I'll investigate stuff there ;) My name is Rolling Starr.

UnitRico 05:48, 19 September 2008 (UTC)

Bad decision, you can't do anything on inferna without getting pked. I used to play there a few years ago, but when I tried to play there again lately I got pked immediately. Better choose another server with less pk.

If he is smart enough he can make it anyway :) I play Inferna for two years now and I made it to highlevel without pking or using unfair means. But sure, it´s gonna be hard. Message me for some stuff, Rico. It will help a little ;) Oh, and you got an invitation to the guild.

Thanks, I'm honoured :D And I'm not the one who gets in trouble a lot, so surviving shouldn't be a major problem (if you leave out the random pk, of course). And I noticed it's pretty easy to get some nice stuff, since most pk'ers just leave stuff in the bodies...I know it isn't good, but I'm easily temptated for that :)

Research no. VEN/0003: Treasure of the Snakes

I think you are wrong about the snake mystery, what the story suggests is you have to use a Shovel (dig?) or a Pick (dig?) or a Fishing Rod (catch the treasures?) with a File:Swamp Tile.gif. Then you might get a Small Diamond or something simillar. This action is probably limited to some swamps, maybe a location with a lot of snakes? Some remote peninsula? That's what I think :)

^^  º Bennie º  ¤ Talk ¤  º Credits º  ^^ 14:39, 7 August 2008 (UTC)

Regarding to the story I think fishing rod and pick aren´t the tools you need to use. So I gonna dig around in the swamp asap ;) Sadonic 10:38, 12 August 2008 (UTC)

Sorry to (sort of) re-open the snake myth, but I just re-read the story, and came across this line: "Yeah, we overheard two adventurers in Port Hope and guess what they were talking about... Snakes! Did you know that you can't loot a snake? Is it true, is it true? You can't open a snake? They don't have any loot?" So maybe ask around Port Hope a bit, if some NPC should know, I think Angus might know something. Also, there should be some place near Venore, maybe a cave, where there are all sorts of snakes, as told in the story. Digging around Venore may work too.

UnitRico 09:46, 16 August 2008 (UTC)

No need to be sorry, gonna ask around there. Thanks a lot for your proposal, UnitRico. I havn´t found a cave around Venore which would suit to the description. But considering to the article that boy had a shovel and dug around. I tried to dig several tiles, but with no success.

Sadonic 06:16, 18 August 2008 (UTC)

I've just asked around a bit in Port Hope, I said "venore", nearly everyone replied, since it's a colony, but nothing about "snakes" or "gems" (except the juwel seller, of course), so I think the adventurers in the story left for somewhere else...

UnitRico 09:32, 28 August 2008 (UTC)

I´ll try to check the big snake skeletons around Venore soon. Maybe they are worth examining.

Sadonic 10:54, 28 August 2008 (UTC)

As for the snake thing, I remember a cave, not 100% sure wheres it located, but it was in Venore, sort of hidden, in the end, there was a room filled with trash, underneath the trash it was a daily respawn of gems, might be what CIP is talking about Alexes the mage 06:45, 12 September 2008 (UTC)

Could you try to find it again or at least give a hint of the direction where to search?

I'm in Venore right now, so I might be able to dodge the random pk and search around a bit. Anyone has a direction to either the cave Alexes the mage is talking about or the skeletons?

UnitRico 06:14, 24 September 2008 (UTC)

No idea. Hope you sharpened your machete and put the shovel on your back :)

Ehh...I think I'll go there with another char then :D

UnitRico 14:16, 24 September 2008 (UTC)

Well, been there all evening, found no cave filled with gems to the east of Venore, I haven't really tried digging. I found some other skulls besides the big skeleton (which has a path of jungle grass to it! How can we walk on it, do I ask you?), and a nice and annoying combo of jungle grass, Wisps and Snakes...maybe souls of rotten snakes?

UnitRico 20:39, 26 September 2008 (UTC)

I would like to go there together with you. Maybe we can find something together. Maybe we should make a minimap and lay a grid on it, to check if we´ve been everywhere.

08:45, 29 September 2008 (UTC)

Ok, I only searched the surface, and also found some Rotworm caves (Rotworms do look a bit like snake-like creatures with a bit of imagination :)), and I still think there's some way you can walk to the big skeleton.

UnitRico 09:33, 29 September 2008 (UTC)

The story continues... I saw this Message of the Day while logging in: This morning, Odemara nearly fainted as she opened her son's bedside drawer. For a moment she thought he had robbed her juwelerry shop... I think it's just a funny story, but it may be something. I'm in Venore, so I'll check it out.

UnitRico 17:12, 7 October 2008 (UTC)

I successfully dug up a small diamond yestarday from the swamps. My friend only got a dead snake. I think it's 1 week you need to wait between each big.

Rathoz 17:14, 17 October 2008 (UTC)

Just anywhere in the swamps? Or a specific spot? I always figured it had to be in a muddy place, since the boy's shovel was muddy (if I remember right). Where did you dig that up? I'd even tried chopping snakes with a machete to cut the jewels out... to no avail XD Vhazhiphor 01:32, 18 October 2008 (UTC)

I think this can be 'solved'. It's know how to get pull up. There are at least two digging spots, one near northern orcs, and one in a slime/rot cave (don't remember which one).

Research no. DES/0004: Great Axe in Desert Dungeon

I myself have explored the entire Jakundaf Desert Dungeon and I didn't find anything on how to get to the island. All the switches and doors are connected to the "10k quest", but 1. This switch will remove the energy bars from the magic walls in the Spike Sword Quest.

Good luck with the research, but I'm afraid this story/legend is nothing more but that..

One part: Remarks on the Legend of Lake Amros (Book)

Sadonic 14:14, 20 August 2008 (UTC)

I still got no info where the lore is from, but I found some nice things in the desert dungeon, worth investigating.

Sadonic 10:55, 28 August 2008 (UTC)

There is a lever inside the dungeon, what is the effect of pulling it? There is a room full of lava too with a chest behind the lava. Anyone knows about that?

Sadonic 06:53, 29 August 2008 (UTC)

Very nice forum thread about Lake Amros and the desert dungeon: ([[1]])

The facts so far:

  • 6 keys
  • 1 unaccessible room with the banshee
  • 1 lever near the lava->Spikesword Quest (lowers gate)
  • 1 lever at the FD-Pit (hidden)->Lava Bridge
  • 4 step-plates in the library, one works "normal" -> Scorpion pit
  • 1 step-plate at Adrianus
  • 1 unaccessible area behind the lava (after door which can be opened with Crowbar), where a chest can be found
  • a recipe for a potion of regained vision which you can use to help Nemal with
  • a recipe for a potion of recall (cures loss of memory for a short time)
  • a recipe for a potion of Happiness
  • a recipe for a potion of fast movement
  • a recipe for a potion of silence
  • sand can be dug in the dungeon
  • The book Remarks on the Legend of Lake Amros (Book) tells parts of the lake can be raised, but magic seems not to be the key.
  • The book About Strange Mechanisms (Book) tells about strange mechanisms realized by hydraulic pressure and that only few people know about how to built them.
  • There is a pool of oil near the scorpion pit.

Theories:

  • Can oil be used somewhere? Can the oil be burned.

Last update ( Sadonic (Page/Talk), Seeker of Myth (Page/Talk), 06:34, 11 September 2008 (UTC))

I think the oil would be used in the hydraulic device. Has anyone tried getting someone to stand on each step-plate? After all, if you apply sufficient pressure (i.e., enough people on the plates), then a hydraulic system would be activated to move something else. Maybe it's either going to be near the oil pool or some other 'unreachable' place. Vhazhiphor 01:38, 18 October 2008 (UTC)

Research no. KAZ/0006: The Basilisk

Some things I found and some thoughts

22:12 Emperor Kruzak: Well, our mines have been invaded by a basilisk. We trapped him with a cave in. The hero that could bring me the body of the beast will get a great reward. 22:12 Sadonic [82]: reward 22:12 Emperor Kruzak: Well, isn't it reward enough to talk to the emperor of all dwarves? But no entry in the questlog, so it may be a quest without.

There is a sign on which is warned for the basilisk. If you follow the path you come into a slime/poison spider cave with a cave in. i am going to investigate the area behind it.

Sadonic 06:45, 19 August 2008 (UTC)

I thought I saw an old screenshot where someone talked to the Basilisk, who asked the player to kill the Dwarven Emperor. If I'm right, underneath it (the pic), someone said it belonged to an old quest. However, I do not know how long the Basilisk exists.

UnitRico 12:48, 19 August 2008 (UTC)

Saw that pic too when I googled. It is a very old picture and it is not sure it is authentic.

Anyway found a nice story at Tibianews (From User Elu Longin):

The tragedy of poor Basil Iskaril

Once upon a time, in an underground city, there lived a dwarf. His name was Basil Iskaril and he was ridiculed by the entire city. Basil was a Royal Guard of the Dwarven Emperor Kruzak. However, due to either an unknown disease or just very sensible nerves, he wasn’t able to practice his job very efficiëntly. Even the smallest things could make him startle. For this sad misfortune, he was ridiculed by his collegues on daily base. They would put frogs in his bag or even startle him in the dark. On the other hand, the Emperor felt pity for Basil and therefore, he remained a Royal Guard, but only for ceremonial matters.

But Basil hated the ridicule and most of all, the pity. It made him feel even more ashamed. However, determined to show no weakness, he bare the humiliation and the critics. But one sad day, something happened that made him change his mind.

That day was the day before the birthday of Emperor Kruzak. Basil was called into duty to reherse the traditional ceramony. He immediately went to the Royal Hall. However, when he got there, one of his officers told him he had to get something from the small storage room. Loyal as he was, Basil entered the chamber to retrieve the desired object. But, once he was inside, someone closed the door and locked it! Basil was now alone in the dark, which made his nerves go tense. And that wasn’t the worst to come. Because you see, the poor dwarf wasn’t alone. His collegues had organised this so-called “ultimate joke” a long time ago. While the nervous Basil was on his way to the Royal Hall, the other guards had put a snake in the storage room, a snake! So now, Basil was locked in there, not knowing he was being accompanied by a slithery snake, one of the things he feared most.

But unfortunately, it didn’t take long for him to realise this fact. And when he did, the scream he produced could be heard throughout the entire city. Basil’s collegues were pleased. Their hidious plan had worked and Basil could hear them in front of the locked door, laughing and giggling. Suddenly, he felt something strange, something he had never felt before: hate. This strong emotion, which spread from his heart to his head and toes, made him forget all about the snake. When the other guards released Basil, he gave them a cold and indifferent glance, which made them feel uncomfortable. The angry dwarf, from that moment on, concentrated his mind and thought on a single purpose and goal: revenge!

His revenge would come soon. However, it was doomed to take a tragic turn, which would destroy Basils life till the end of his days.

The poor dwarf prepared himself very rigorously. He had set his moment of revenge on the day the Emperor’s birthday was celebrated. Luckily, due to his reputation of being weak and emotional, no one was surprised when he didn’t show up at the ceremony. But Basil was there, hidden in a place he always used to cry his frustration out. No one could see nor hear him. But when the ceramony started, he cast a creature illusion spell on himself, which caused him turning into a snake. Then, he left his hideout and entered the Royal Hall, were the ceramony was taking place. Once he was inside the room, without being noticed, he yelled:

‘Hahaha, foolish mortals, you are all doomed. For I, the king of snakes, will destroy your civilisation!’

His action certainly had the effect Basil was hoping for. The hall was in a second filled with total chaos. Everyone was screaming and running around. they even almost stepped on him. Seeing the panic and fear of his fellow guards as well, Basil satisfied with the result. In is opinion, they were even now. So, he decided to show himself, knowing he would risk a punishment. However, Basil, who was still a snake, discovered he wasn’t able to turn back to his normal Dwarven form. In a shock, he realised he had made a critical mistake while casting the spell, which ment he would remain a snake forever. In the meanwhile, the panic and chaos was taking escalating proportions. Suddenly, Basil realised Dwarven soldiers and guards were entering the hall. He made a last attempt to come everyone down.

‘Relax guys, it’s only me, Basil Isk...’

But the poor dwarf was too late. One of the servants of the Emperor, that had been able to remain calm, grabbed him and threw him in a rubbish chute. After a wild ride, tumbling down, he landed in a small hole with no way to escape. Even now, he is still trapped there, living of garbage and small insects. Because the hole was located near an often used mine passage, Emperor Kruzak ordered the installation of a warning sign, with the description: “Beware, the Basilisk”

Sadonic 13:14, 19 August 2008 (UTC)

Hmm, i´ll try to make it to the steamship and try to swim/dive from there. it is southeast from the place the basilisk shall be. Sadonic 08:28, 20 August 2008 (UTC)

Latest results:

Saw the Basilisk with my own eyes. You cannot attack it, so it is an NPC. It isn´t possible to reach the basilisk from below (already deepest level to go) nor from the adjacent caves. Swimming from the steamboat isn´t possible, so I still gonna try to dive. If that doesn´t work, you can only enter from above (lava at Dwacatra) or by teleporting.

Basilisk NPC
Sadonic 04:40, 21 August 2008 (UTC)

Thought about getting from the steamboat to the Basilisk. I found a book (Dwarven Magic II (Book) telling how to make a potion of floating: This spell will one day allow any dwarf that may not be a good swimmer the ability to almost walk on water. What we found out you would probably need are the remains of a slain stone golem, the branch of a willow, the wing of a wasp, and a flask full of slime. Pour the slime into a cold cauldron and add in the other ingrediants into the cauldron and boil it. This seems to be the base of a powerful potion, though the finalization and the spells needed to enchant it are still a riddle to be solved.

Anyone got an idea how to get a branch of a willow or a wasp wing. I´ll try to use an obsidian knife on the wasp and a sickle on a willow.

Sadonic 06:07, 22 August 2008 (UTC)

I don't think that's the solution, there are a lot of books which suggest things like that, but I don't think any of them works...still, it's worth trying.

Research no. ANK/0005: Serpentine Tower in Ankrahmun

I've heard a lot about this myth, and I always wanted to investigate everything about it...shame I'm such a low level, so if I ever manage to free the Vampire or Behemoth, I'm meat :D

Anyways, there are a lot of people that claim they freed the Vampire (mostly their friends did and moved away or something), but don't remember how.

Other thoughts are the Serpentine Tower is somehow connected to the Spectral Tomb (the story goes that you can open that tomb somehow and kill Arkhotep in order to get a soul ruby and an eternal lasting Full Helmet of the Ancients) or something near a Dragon spawn near Ank (Magic Walls, Fire Elementals, a switch).

Also, there are rumors you'll need to do something with the basins or the pads in the Djinn spawn. The leaver near the Djinn seems to be there to remove the Magic Walls in case someone put these back.

I think you need to do something with the coffin in the south-western room on the floor with the monsters (from which I think are subjects to test spells on - you find parchments with descriptions of spells) to release the Vampire. But the question is: How do you get there? Maybe the lever near the Djinn has another use? Another thought is to dim all the lights in the room to open that door.

I now wish I was part of the guild, but then I'd first need to make a char on Infernia and survive long enough :D

Research no. KAZ/0007: Colossus Fortress

Tried a lot of things at the entrance of Dwacatra (you need key 3802) to reach the upper level where the passage to the fortress can be seen on the map. Placed barrels/parcels there and tried to levitate without success. Some things which seem to be odd there:

- there is a dwarf guard up there which shoves things in the upper level. When he pushes something (barrels, parcels) to the hole it drops down. - if you look at the hole, you see stairs !?! Maybe stairs up there were removed? - you can throw things there from a lot of places

What I gonna try there: killing the dwarf

Sadonic 07:12, 20 August 2008 (UTC)

The dwarf isn´t killable from down there.

Research no. EDR/0001: Missing troll lady

In Thief Guild Quest, the mission were you need to get a disguise kit, try that NPC too maybe? (Carlin, name something like Percyblade)

Rathoz 16:58, 20 August 2008 (UTC)

Not a bad idea due Percybald is an actor in the theatre. Gonna try that out soon.

Sadonic 05:45, 21 August 2008 (UTC)

I asked Percybald about a disguise and a troll lady. No success with that.

Another thing I tried is to make the creature Illusion of a troll with my druid. I named her as a troll lady with my sorceress, but the troll didn´t want her.

At least I found out that Jerom tells about his familiy when you ask him for mission again after finishing the quest. He tells that his family lived on the McRonald farm in Thais, butif you talk to them about him ,they do not know him. ;)

Sadonic 08:12, 25 August 2008 (UTC)

Last part of family I know from Test Server, when we were first trying to figure out the first part of the quest. It seems like a deadend.

However IIRC, the name he said is not totally the same as of the owner of the farm in Thais, but they might fixed it.

Rathoz 20:17, 25 August 2008 (UTC)

Noticed the last thing as well. Maybe it would be useful to ask the McRonalds for someone who left it.

This was posted by the user sir stealth If i say "old chief"

Chief Grarkharok mentions he is now the new chief and he stole the club from Fragratosh

When i say fragratosh he mentions something about frogs, snakes and rocks, which appear in dark blue text as prompts. He will eat any dead frogs or snakes i give to him, but when i say rocks, he doesnt respond at all. Is this a bug in the quest?

quite interesting :)

  • 20:27 Sadonic [90]: dog

'PS: YOU SHOULD MAKE SOMETHING LIKE "QUEST BREAKING" PAGE, WHERE EVERY PLAYER OR GUILD CAN ADD SOMETHING FROM THEMSELVES. I KNOW SOME MYSTERIES AND MYTHS. IF YOU MAKE SOMETHING MORE OPENED I CAN ADD SOME :)'

Every player/guild can add things here ;)

Talking to NPC about benjamin:

  • Lugri -
  • Lynda -
  • Baxter 06:43 Baxter: He was one of the king's best generals, now he's a bit ...uhm... forgetful.
  • Harkath Bloodblade 06:46 Harkath Bloodblade: He was the king's general before I was promoted. Poor guy, he lost his mind in a battle against evil Ferumbras.06:46 Sadonic [83]: ferumbras 06:46 Harkath Bloodblade: He is allied with evil itself! Each time we kill him, he returns to take revenge.
  • Quentin -
  • Bozo: 06:43 Bozo: He would make a fine jester, too.
  • Grof 06:47 Grof, the guard: Benjamin was a brave fighter. He runs the post office in the west of the city.

All of these ingredients are actual items in game, as compared to some of the other potions, so this may be possible. --DM ><((°> Contribs <°))>< talk to me 00:32, 18 October 2008 (UTC)

You are right, the only thing I wonder about is where or how to brew it. Does every cauldron work? Or is there any potionbrewer in Tibia who could do this

Anybody checked out Eclipse? The magic carpet guy takes you there for a part of the Inquisition Quest.
It has a very notable Cauldron in the centre.

Can you fly thereto after completing the mission for the demonhunter quest?

Although I never tested to fly there twice, people say only once, during the quest. ^^ Bennie (talk ~ fellows) ^^ 09:23, 3 December 2008 (UTC)

Yeah, that´s correct. Only once.

Research no. EVE/0012: The rotworm queens gland

I thought a friend of mine had a gland. I will ask him about it when I see him.

UnitRico 17:30, 8 October 2008 (UTC)

Humgolf is a "rotworm trainer" in Kazordoon. He will not sell anyone a rotworm unless they have a "drilling license." He may be worth asking about glands and rotworm queens.
--DM ><((°> Contribs <°))>< talk to me 00:32, 18 October 2008 (UTC)

Hmm, haven´t seen this connection yet, but I asked Jerom (Trolls lady) about that. but good idea. Perhaps there is a kind of connection between it all:

Gland > Rotworm Trainer >Jerom and his pets. May this result in getting a rot pet ;)
Sadonic (Page/Talk), Seeker of Myth (Page/Talk),
07:51, 3 November 2008 (UTC) I was able to buy a gland, tried to take it to rotworms - no effect, asked the nomad´s leader about it - no effect. Talked to Humgolf and Jerom - no effect. Tried to use different tools on it - no effect.

Gonna try to talk to druids/mages about the gland. Maybe that gives any result.

The "Hidden" City of Beregar

kaz:

Kuquinha: poem
Kawill: Who are you to ask about an ancient secret of my kind? I won't tell you the poem.
Kuquinha: hail emperor
Emperor Kruzak: Well, I'm the emperor of the dwarfs and the oldest living dwarf, jawoll!
Humnog, the guard: HAIL TO THE EMPEROR!
Kuquinha: beregar
Emperor Kruzak: Well, you claim there is another dwarven city called Beregar? Could that be the city of the ancient tribe?!?
Kuquinha: ancient tribe
Emperor Kruzak: Well, there is an old poem that is known by every dwarven child. It's telling a story about the God Wars and the early years of Tibia. There have been two big dwarven tribes, but then a conflict arose. ...
Emperor Kruzak: This conflict caused one of the tribes to leave their birthplace and to find themselves a new home. Not in my wildest dreams I would have believed that this poem could contain some truth. You should try to find it.
Kuquinha: poem
Emperor Kruzak: Well, it must have been written by someone of the Kazordoon tribe as there hasn't been any contact to the other tribe since the day we parted. I doubt you'll find a written copy of it here as it has been passed on by word of mouth. ...
Emperor Kruzak: Maybe you find someone who tells you the poem. I for myself don't have time to tell you a children's poem. By the beard of my father, I'm the emperor, jawoll!
Kuquinha: beard
Emperor Kruzak: Well, more than 150 years ago, my father lost his beard overnight. Thereupon, he resigned from his leadership after hundreds of years of supreme ruling.
Kuquinha: conflict
Emperor Kruzak: Well, our race is very hot-blooded, bullheaded, and also proud. The real cause is unknown but I can imagine how it happened.

Isimov: I'm not sure if I should tell you. After all, you are a human, and not a dwarf. Hmm, probably not. Sorry.
Kuquinha: poem
Iwar: Me terrible remember such things. Me no want to tell something wrong. Go ask someone else.

Kuquinha: poem
Lokur: I only know the poem of the ancient tribe. I used to tell it to my son when he was a little boy. Wanna hear it?
Kuquinha: yes
Lokur: Alright, here we go: There was a time when all was right. ...
Lokur: Two tribes united in the land of the gods. ...
Lokur: They envied themselves and there was a fight. ...
Lokur: One tribe left against great odds, ...
Lokur: never to see the great citadel again, ...
Lokur: abandon their forges, their former home. ...
Lokur: All thoughts of homecoming have been in vain, ...
Lokur: Kazordoon was founded and ended their roam.

Really interesting. There are rumours that they used these old tunnels around here when they left Beregar.
