Thank you ;)

No problem, I am looking for the rest right now, undead dragon comes in a few minutes.

Bennie 14:58 1 December 2006 (CEST)

I applied the creatures template to the pages, so you will need to re-upload some of the pictures... the image name needs to match the creature name, and it has to be in GIF format (so it can be animated).

Let me know if you need help with those.

Sorry but I can't upload in .gif, it just doesn't work :(

And what do you mean with 'it can be animated'? I think I need help with this.

Bennie 15:32 December 2006 (CEST)

the normal sprites and all are animated so u can see the creatures walking and stuff about the upload in .gif i dont know much about it but i hope this helped u a little

Kind Regards, Dille 06:35, 1 December 2006 (PST)

gif images can be animated, like this one:

Behemoth

GIFs can also have transparency, but jpg cannot.

I'll do a quick convert of the images you uploaded to gif. They won't be animated yet, but we really need alot of in-game screenshots or sprite files to do that properly.

-- WhitelacesTalk † χρισtoς αnεσtη, αληθως αnεσtη -- 06:38, 1 December 2006 (PST)

Ok, I understand now, the monster has to move and to show that you need much images shown fast after each other. Have to wait till update for that but even then I don't know how you save much images after each other in 1 image file.

Bennie 15:42 1 December 2006 (CEST)

There are alot of different image editors that can do it... try searching the web for "image editor animated gif".

There are a couple free ones that I use... Paint.NET and Gimp mostly.

I doubt, doubt, doubt that those 99x runes will really be getable in game.

I also doubt about it, it's a bit Tibia OT stile. But it's always possible, if you look how hard it is to do that quest (read: beat all those monsters). It could be possible.

Regarding the Objects Page (part one)

Thanks a lot for helping to update the Objects page, I love your additions. But there's a few things I'd like to point out so you know why I'll fix them:

 • First of all, when I said Jungle Grass, I didn't mean that grass you can cut, I think that's not even the name, not yet sure, I have to check but I can't bear the lag at this time of the day v.v. What I meant was, that grass from Tiquanda, which is quite dense compared to other regions, it's a floor tile. So that definition for Jungle Grass would have to be remade.
 • Secondly, on the Wall Hangables part... ...I haven't seen the first clock that can't be moved, or maybe I haven't noticed, but can you check that out? the Objects page is meant for objects that are not considered as items, objects that can't be moved nor bought, but still make part of the game and deserve their categorization too. So clocks and mirrors don't just fit that description. Note that there are some exceptions, for example: there's two different types of Knight Statues, those that can be used as furniture (moved and bought) and those that can't.

Keep contributing :D!!!

Ok, I only need to say that the Jungle Grass thing isn't my fault, I didn't add it. But it's fixed anyway now I think. About the Wall Hangables you are right, I didn't realized that. Maybe we should also make a template for the Tiles/undergrounds?

Exactly, check the Sand Tile, it looks awful, so we need a better infobox for tiles, also, I'm going to add "Wheat Field" to the Flora part, and upload even more images. Sorry for mistaking you XDD

Also: check this conversation User talk:Whitelaces#Fields, it's not Water (Object) its Water Tile.

 Ψ Genosonic Ψ   Ψ  My Contributions Ψ   Ψ  Talk Ψ

I don't understand anymore, do we need to move all tile pages like Tar, Swamp and Snow I made to Tar Tile, Swamp Tile and Snow Tile with the template you used on Sand Tile? Or not?

Wie niet slim is moet slim zijn
^^  º Bennie º  ¤ Talk ¤  ^^ 11:29, 23 January 2007 (PST)

I think it is only necessary to move those pages when they can be confused with another item or object (like Water Tile and Water, Mud Tile and Mud, etc.). For other ones (like Tar), it is probably okay to leave them the way they are, but there would be nothing wrong with renaming them to "xxxx Tile". In fact, someone may become a stickler about the naming and change them all sometime anyway.

--  Whitelaces †  Talk †  -- 11:39, 23 January 2007 (PST)

One thing I forgot..... about the template. I think that Template:Infobox_Object will work very well for floor tiles. Until these pages are fully developed, we will have a hard time figuring out what fields and values are important for each template to have. As long as we try to be as comprehensive as possible from the beginning, we should be fine.

Wouldn't it be better to just add _tile everywhere? So its a bit more standarized?

¨˜”°º•Eleanor•º°”˜¨ ¨˜”°º•Talk•º°”˜¨ ¨˜”°º•Contributions•º°”˜¨

Told'ya someone would probably want it that way.

Yeah, that's fine. You are correct, Eleanor, it would be more standardized, even if it is not actually necessary.

-- Omnis Minervae homo Petronius.
--  Whitelaces †  Talk †  -- 13:47, 23 January 2007 (PST)

Well, actually it's _Tile, not _tile, (that's a standard), and yeah, it's the standard we are using now, and Bennie changed all the names already, thanks man. Another thing, I notice we have a problem with those tiles on the Template:Infobox_Object, notice Snow Tile <-- at least in my computer I can't see it correctly... (I know it's there but... it just doesn't look right), maybe if we used some IF statements to put a border around the image if the objectclass is "Tiles". Can you, Whitelaces, help us with that? notice I added a light gray border in the Objects page for the tiles, maybe we can do that again for the template.

 Ψ Genosonic Ψ   Ψ  My Contributions Ψ   Ψ  Talk Ψ

Okay, I think that would be fine. I'll see if I can set that up for you.

-- Omnis Minervae homo Petronius.
--  Whitelaces †  Talk †  -- 13:47, 23 January 2007 (PST)

Also, forgot to mention I didn't mean the use of the word Tile is a standard when I said "actually it's _Tile, not _tile, (that's a standard), and yeah, it's the standard we are using now", just the capitalization of the first letter :) but anyways, I do think it using the word Tile for the tiles, should be a standard, supporting Eleanor's idea.

I think we also need a underground called: "Cobbled Pavement" or something, the roads and squares in towns. And maybe wooden and marble floors also. Also another question occures, how we do it with the walking speed? I already thought for example: 1/5 is the lowest speed and 5/5 is the fastest speed. But I don't know if this is the best solution.

Regarding the Objects Page (part two)

I Added subcategories to the Objects page for Tiles, feel free to add those pavements, wooden floors, etc.

 Ψ Genosonic Ψ   Ψ  My Contributions Ψ   Ψ  Talk Ψ   05:25, 24 January 2007 (PST)

Forgot to mention, in my opinion, it's not good just to say 1/5 or 2/5... Use the phrase: One fifth (1/5) of the normal speed. or Two fifths (2/5) of the normal speed. Looks better, I think...

 Ψ Genosonic Ψ   Ψ  My Contributions Ψ   Ψ  Talk Ψ

I redirected all the swamp, tar, etc pages to the appropriate tile pages and then came here after to add a note that I'd done so(since I saw you created them initially), and only then saw this convo...whoops! :o I tried to merge your notes on the other pages in with the regular tile pages as much as possible, maybe you could give them a look to make sure I didn't miss something you consider important? Editing wiki late at night can lead to silly mistakes, such as not checking all talk pages before making sweeping changes. ;) Ranelle 22:42, 24 January 2007 (PST)

Something went wrong with the uploading of the images, there was no -Tile after it :( The Bushes page is going to be ok I think but the Plants is a problem, in tibia there are at least 10 different sprites which are all called Swamp Plant. I don't know how we are going to splitt them. I'm also sure there are more different names of plants in tiquanda, shame i'm not premmy anymore otherwise I would check it out. So someone needs to re-upload those images with the correct name and someone needs to check which plants there are in tiquanda.

^^  º Bennie º  ¤ Talk ¤  ^^ 11:53, 25 January 2007 (PST)

If you find multiple tiles/plants/sprites/etc. with the same name in-game... distinguish them with something in parenthesis. Just like Voodoo Doll (King), Voodoo Doll (Pirate).... both of these are simply called "Voodoo Doll" in-game, but here we have separated them because they are different from eachother.

-- Delenda est Carthago.
--  Whitelaces †  Talk †  -- 13:30, 25 January 2007 (PST)

That wouldn't solve the problem for plants, rocks and stones, there's just so many, with the same name, maybe we can distiguish them by the form, size and/or colors? Stone (Big Red Round), Stone (Small Spiral) or Stone (Big Mossy). I'm not sure myself, but what do you say? and if so, we need a standard for the in-parenthesis words, like <Size> <Color (if not gray)> <Shape>...

 Ψ Genosonic Ψ   Ψ  My Contributions Ψ   Ψ  Talk Ψ

That would work. Basically, that's the best way I could think of to distinguish them while still retaining the actual in-game names.

Also.... using parenthesis allows you to take advantage of the "pipe-trick" in the wiki:

Voodoo Doll (Pirate) (notice the pipe-character)

will be rendered as:

Voodoo Doll (notice how the text removed the parenthesis, but the link is correct)

Not a big deal, but using parenthesis allows us to exploit the mediawiki software a little bit more.

--  Whitelaces †  Talk †  -- 06:11, 26 January 2007 (PST)

I got problems with those object names. Whitelaces, your idea may work with links but not with page names. And also not with list headers. Maybe we should just give them all a number like with Stone 1Stone 1?
I hope to hear a reaction soon.

Wie niet slim is moet slim zijn
^^  º Bennie º  ¤ Talk ¤  ^^ 07:29, 27 January 2007 (PST)

I think the parenthesis will still look cleaner, but it doesn't really matter that much, as long as there is a way to distinguish them from eachother.

I don't actually understand what you mean when you say that it won't work for page names or list headers. Can you please explain what you mean a little more? It seems to work fine to me. Also, using the paranthesis is the de-facto standard for separating ambiguous page names on Wikipedia.

If you could give an example of what you are talking about, it may help me understand.

-- Fac ut gaudeam
--  Whitelaces †  Talk †  -- 13:11, 29 January 2007 (PST)

Ok, I try to explain (maybe I'm just stupid), we take the page: Stone (Big) as an example (note that it first was called Stone 1). The name of the page should just be Stone (Big) I think (correct me if I am wrong). Then if you see a list of stone they should all be viewed as Stone so we need to use the | . Should Stone (Big) be Stone (Big) or should it be (Big)? In the last one the links changes in Stone without the (Big). So we want to have a list of items which are all called Stone but if you click on them they link to much different stones. I hope I have explained myself better now.

Theres also a frozen female sorcerer - if you saw the one in that ice place north of svargrond then she's quite close. I was mapping there this morning.

I found my Frozen Beings in Folda, I have no premium account anymore and can't reach Svargrond. I you are sure you saw a Frozen Human (female sorcerer) then make a screenshot ("don't stretch/shrink game window" turned on) and send it to me (email). Then I take care of it.

Can I "move" a page?

Hey there, well thanks for your offer to answer questions. So here's one: There seems to be no article about the newly-added premium "ice islands," (all of them together) however Ice Islands redirects to Southern Ice Islands. Most of the info on that page is NPCs from Folda, Senja, and Vega. This seems unnecessary since these pages have their own NPC info. So I'd like to:

 • Remove redirect and start "Ice Islands"
 • Take content from Southern Ice Islands, add to Ice Islands (minus the NPC lists)
 • redirect Southern Ice Islands to Ice Islands
 • Add stub of content about new premmy ones, since I'm not premmy and don't know much about them

I know how to do all of this, but noticed that there's no "move" tool for all users. I could do it anyway, I'm just not sure if it's the kind of thing non-admins are really *supposed* to do. Wow, I make long questions! -.- Anyway, an opinion would be great! Ct 01:11, 23 November 2007 (PST)

Wait, there *is* a move tool. OK, I'll use that, but I'd still like comments on this idea and what I've done if you have time. Thanks! Ct 01:37, 23 November 2007 (PST)

You did it great, the movetool is also for non-admins. Don't worry about that, if something is only for admins you can't do it :) If think the Ice Islands page is ok, but where did you put the NPCs? Or did you leave them on all seperate island pages?

Sweet, glad I did the right thing! :D Well, I thought there was no reason to have NPC lists on the Ice Islands page, since each island has its list on its own page. If someone wants to add them back in, go ahead. I'm also watching Talk:Ice Islands now so any comments there would be appreciated. Thanks for the support! Ct 02:13, 23 November 2007 (PST)

Noinclude tag

What does the noinclude tag do?
—The preceding unsigned comment was added by Rafa Mcallan (talkcontribs). Remember to sign your comments!

They take care of that the text or whatever is between the tags isn't included in the infobox and thus isn't showed on the list. I made a list of the spells on the Winter Update 2007 page and every spell is listed there, it used information from the page of the spell. We want it to use only information from the infobox, not that other line. I hope you kind of understand it :)
