Report a Vandal

I know, but why remove the photo? It could be written on the subtitle "This is an photo that show a bug that people used to do to lure the boss outside of the teleport" I just think it isn't right, because I contribute to this Wiki and take the screen shot of the boss when nobody done. So why remove it? Why don't show Fidera killing the boss? (I couln't find the place to send a message so I'm writting it here, I'm sorry for any inconvenience). Yours, Yanchester.

Little problem.

Hello Beejay!

I've tryied to add a drop item on Marid's cuz seems missed on the drop table, but for any reason the creature table in the botton of the page seems so messed up, I've no idea what exactly happened cuz I only add an item, can you help me a bit with this?

Thanks in advance!

Yours, User:Netherion

Don't worry it's not something you have done. This issue occurs when there's a problem with loading the Template:Creature Types. Unfortunately, there isn't much that can be done to fix this as it seems to be an issue with Wikia which causes the problem. Sometimes clicking edit on a page with the problem and replacing the word edit with purge can fix it as it clears the cache of that page, but if the error is still present it won't work. Beejay 14:01, September 7, 2010 (UTC)

Hello Beejay! xD
I would like to know why my submission for the contest was deleted =/ I can prove that Drawn is mine if you want too!
Your's Hakeen!

HakeenOverhill 01:54, September 8, 2010 (UTC)

Hello. :) It was a mistake of a user removing previous submissions while adding their own, another user tried to add the previous submissions but while doing so, didn't fully add all of the removed ones. I've had a busy couple of days so I hadn't had the time to fix this, but I left a note on its talk page here when I noticed this. I have your entry here so don't worry it hasn't gone! It will just take a bit of time to reorganise this to find other possible submissions which have been removed. When I have this sorted I will inform you and others where to find those previously removed entries. Thank you for letting me know, it makes the process easier and also thank you for your patience. Hiho User:MalukoDoido

Hi, I am one of the contestants in the Creature Contest =d The problem is that i created a monster named "Ice Golem", and I completely forgot that already exists =/ Can you edit that for me? The new name is : Ice Tower Golem.

Thank you in advance, and cya.

Removed Edits

Hey Beejay...

Thanks for all the work you're doing on the Creature Contest, but I discovered something this morning that worried me; I made a few changes to my creature before it was "Accepted", yet once it was, all the changes were removed; why is that?

User:Emerald Demond

Would you mind copying the link of the changes which were removed? (it comes under: "diff") You can find them in your contributions here. The second submission page got rather messed up and it may be my fault, when trying to fix it, that I removed those changes by mistake, sorry! Beejay 09:46, September 9, 2010 (UTC)

From Line 645 to Line 701...

Also, the internal image link was added, but no image is showing... —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Emerald Demond (talkcontribs). Remember to sign your comments!

That's because the image hadn't been uploaded but the link had already been created. I am just in the process of fixing up some things on the page and I am about to add the information which I didn't mean to remove. Beejay 11:07, September 9, 2010 (UTC)

Creature contest, submission updated

Heya Beejay,

I placed a new pic on my submission and removed the status 'rejected' from the title. I wasn´t sure if I should make a new submission? (submission is on page 3, no. 24)

How can I edit the List of Illusionable Creatures page? Thanks in advance. Icy Alchemist 01:23, October 4, 2010 (UTC)

You can edit the page, but you cannot directly add creatures to the list. The information that the DPL picks up is from each creature page. Take Amazon for example, it is on the page because it has the illusion parameter set as "| illusionable = yes". Beejay 04:44, October 4, 2010 (UTC)

I did that for Enraged Bookworm but it doesn't appear on the List of Illusionable Creatures. Icy Alchemist 01:37, October 5, 2010 (UTC)

Problems With The Loot Parser...

I'm trying to upload new loot statistics for Gargoyles, Gozzlers and Stone Golems, but after I paste the information into the box, the three creature's loot info appears, but there is no Upload button, and at the top of the boxes, there are the words "Analysing <number> lines..."...

What could be the problem?

Emerald Demond 05:10, October 10, 2010 (UTC)

Unfortunately I have no idea about the coding involved in the loot parser. What I can tell you though, is this has worked fine for you in the past looking at your contributions and also there are other users who are currently able to add loot statistics. Therefore it may be some update to your web browser or starting to use another web browser which may not be compatible. User:Daniel Letalis is the creator of the loot parser and knows it far better than me. So talking to him would be the best option for solving this problem. :) Beejay 13:13, October 10, 2010 (UTC)

Thanks Beejay; I'll keep trying it, and if the problem persists, I'll contact Daniel...

"I've seen the sword going for 70-130k so, this user is most probably triying to manipulate the price in his favour" about this comment made by 'Old rush wood.

I didn't know runed sword was pretty easy to obtein it seems monsters dropped it a lot, like if ferumbras appears every weekend or something, excuse me but the runed sword on my server doesn't go for less than 400k. It is not like there are a lot of runed swords. You guys are most probably trying to manipulate the price in their favor. So please stop using your capability to edit information to get profit from it WICH IT IS NO MY CASE.

Diabolic Imp

I was reading achievement talk page and I saw your comment: Isn't there one where you use a leaver and sacrafice Demonic Essences to be changed into a Diabolical Imp? Can you tell me something more about it? It is very interesting and I have never heard something about it.
Dyror 15:28, October 11, 2010 (UTC)

I have read about this before which is why it popped up in my head about the achievement. I've never actually tested this but I do remember that there's a lever down at Alchemist Quarter where you can stand. There's also a sign near that lever saying something like "transmutation device" or atleast a warning giving some clue about this machine. It's been a while since I have been in that area with the Demon so I cannot remember for sure of the location, although it makes sense to me that it is at the Demon area. Reason being, is that there's the contamination thing at the Nightmare(s) and sealed Quara Predator which makes you invisible for a few seconds. I'd assume that this would change your appearance back into a person. Note: it may be a Concentrated Demonic Blood instead of a Demonic Essence but I believe it was the essence that was required. Hope that helps! Beejay 16:21, October 11, 2010 (UTC)

Regarding what I wasn't so sure about before. Yes there is a place you can stand with a lever under the area with the Quara Predator and Nightmares. It is north in the room that has the Plaguesmith in. I have just seen this happen for myself now (Necta just tested). You stand on the platform/switch with a demonic essence to your right on the "table" then pull the switch/"transmutator", you become a Diabolic Imp and then when going through the contamination thing, you become normal again. Might be worth mentioning that you don't get an achievement for doing it once, there is still the possibility that you can get that achievement if you do it more though. Loot statistics

How can i add loot statistics?

I was looking around on the wikia to find a program for it or somthing a like..

Because people dont just write it down (i hope, cause then i wont do it ,haha)

Could you tell me how i can do this?

And what I need to make a loot statistic?

-Sir Entucky

Jakke~ 20:03, October 14, 2010 (UTC)

To make loot stats, all you need to do is use your server log on the tibia client. You copy and paste this information into TibiaWiki's Loot Statistics parser. The only things you need to consider is making sure you clear the server log after entering data so that previously added data is not added again. The other thing to keep in mind is that the loot statistics parser does not consider summoned creatures, so if you know you have killed summoned creatures, it is best to just not add those statistics at all unless you know beforehand which kills are summons and which aren't.

To find where to add your loot statistics, on the left there is a sub category to Creatures, under there is Loot Statistics which is the correct page. You can also search for it and it will take you to the right place to go. You can also find the loot statistics link through every creature's loot statistics page and you can also find it on my user page. :) Beejay 23:54, October 14, 2010 (UTC)

New look

Hi there,

I just stopped by here to check out the wiki in the new look and noticed there wasn't a custom theme yet. I see you have a nice wordmark, and I added the "Rock garden" theme for now. Has the community started talking about the new look at all? I am happy to start a conversation somewhere, or to answer any questions you may have. I also left a message for Hunter of Dragoes and Sixorish. Cheers, Sarah@fandom (Help Forum) (blog) 23:25, October 15, 2010 (UTC)

The wordmark for the new skin wasn't created by the TibiaWiki staff, the one for the current/old skin was one creatured by a user through a contest. About the new look, I am happy for you to make a conversation about it. As for a personal TibiaWiki skin for the new look, it isn't something I want or feel I should do, mainly because I am a fairly new admin. While I know it should be done, as I have now seen the new skin you have put in place, I feel it is fine and more fitting for TibiaWiki. Beejay 01:24, October 17, 2010 (UTC)

I initially was a bit "con" towards the whole new skin thing but with the background fitting with the logo and the color a bit brown themed around it seems nice to me. I will start a discussion here. Just one question to you Sarah (if you're reading this). The recent changes were removed (as well as other boxes in the left of the page). Is there a way to customize the new wiki skin (it's called Oasis, isn't it?) to get that functionality back? ^^ Bennie (talk ~ fellows) ^^ 16:50, October 17, 2010 (UTC)

Hi Beejay & Beenie, User:Game widow recently added a custom skin here to better match your wordmark. Feel free to modify or get in touch with her for requests. As for the recent changes link, you can add it to your my tools, allowing you to have quick access to it, or you can reach it by clicking on "See all activity" on the Wiki activity page. There is not a way to add it back. Let me know if you have any other questions. Best, --Sarah@fandom (Help Forum) (blog) 16:32, October 18, 2010 (UTC)

Ok, thanks. I'll enable the new skin now for everyone, because I have a feeling our community won't speak up until they have seen the new look. ^^ Bennie (talk ~ fellows) ^^ 18:23, October 18, 2010 (UTC)

Hi, you can not enable it for the whole wiki, but rather users must opt in in their preferences to see it. Starting this Wednesday, user preferences will be switched for everyone to see it. You will have the ability to switch back to Monaco (opting out of the new look) until November 3rd, but then it will be removed as an option. You may want to read through our FAQ here. Let me know if you have any other questions. Best, --Sarah@fandom (Help Forum) (blog) 21:49, October 18, 2010 (UTC)

Re: Potential Vandal

Left a message on whitelaces talk page yesterday, but have since realised he's not really active anymore, so this is more a heads up that there's one I feel is worth checking out (and details are on whitelaces talk-page). To save putting too many lines onto your page, it ought to be sufficient to simply say that the details are on his and request that it be looked into. (Domyl 02:03, October 17, 2010 (UTC))

I think he added kills from past updates. StarygurlTalk|info 02:41, October 17, 2010 (UTC)

Pretty sure that isn't it - going into edit histories (on ferumbras initially) it's clear that items have been added that were not on the loot lists of the kills from prior updates (eg: Shadow Sceptre), that doesnt mean it isnt dropped by Ferumbras necessarily, but it does show that its not just a copy/paste of previous statistics. In other words - yes, the number of kills would match, but the items involved (and their numbers) do not. At any rate, even if that WAS the case, it would still be inaccurate data as far as tibia 8.6 is concerned, which would still class as vandalism surely? For Massacre, he's added 5 kills (where previous update kills, if trustworthy, total 27. For Morgaroth, he's added 5 kills again, where only two previous kills existed (again, including items which were not previously verified by loot statistics). For Ghazbaran, he added 2 kills. Again, the number of kills involved does not match up with the number that had been uploaded previously.

If it had been just one, it would be mildly suspicious that someone uploads multiple statistics IN ONE UPLOAD (meaning: one pasted server log into the loot parser) when these bosses spawn so rarely that it would simply not be possible to have killed 2 ferumbras within one server log. However, given that this has been done by the same user on multiple bosses, something smells seriously wrong here to me. (Domyl 03:14, October 17, 2010 (UTC))

Regarding the message you left on User talk:Whitelaces. The simple thing to do is to not speculate and just ask User:Rulamaso where they got their statistics from. Even if they uploaded 5 ferumbras kills in one go, it doesn't mean they got their data from an inaccurate/suspicious source. Besides, it's quite obvious to me that rare bosses could easily have 100's of items that have never been looted. And if this user is anything like me, they will save stats to upload later, (meaning: multiple server logs together). Although, I already see the problem with uploading boss statistics like this.

Vandals are considered people who deliberately do acts to add wrong/off-topic info/remove right info etc. Therefore, I don't see them as a vandal, because they have many good edits from the past even if I do see the boss stats as a little strange. If in doubt, check the user's contributions and talk page before jumping to conclusions! :) Beejay 14:44, October 17, 2010 (UTC)

Well, originally I was looking to see the chances of ornamented axes being looted (because I'm selling one and someone asked whether its even a common ferumbras drop... which statistics suggest it isnt), the number of kills looked fairly high for a client version that isnt really that old so I checked the history to see how often it was being killed and uploaded.
In fact, it was looking through the users edit history that found the other bosses with large numbers of uploaded kills. The initial suspicion being that it was probably either a vandal (ie: deliberate false information) or someone uploading loots from screenshots found on forums elsewhere (which would be second-hand information and potentially suspect - for it to be reliable the screenshots would have to be genuine, and it would require trust in the user being able to detect if a shot was not genuine) - it seems implausible that one player has, personally, killed that many (ferumbras, massacre, etc) for a client version that has only been out for 3.5 months.
The addition of new items wasnt something I was using as evidence of suspect uploading, that was merely to demonstrate (related to starygurl's comment) that it clearly was not simply copying in the statistics of the previous update. Nothing more than that.
Aha - I see that "vandal" wasnt the right word to use in the context of this forum, and clearly my use of it suggested I thought it was deliberate mis-information, which I'm not convinced it was. But at least, I think its rather odd to be adding that many boss statistics AT ALL nevermind in one go - I understand combining loot logs (and have done it myself) but when it comes to bosses, would you really withold the stats with the expectation that you'd kill another before the next update?? I know I wouldnt (with bosses meaning random/rare spawns, not KitN bosses).

Finally, may I propose an update to the loot statistics page outlining some basic guidelines? Things such as: what acceptable sources are (eg: do you suggest that it's ok for users to upload from screenshots, from those that friends send them or suggest they only upload their own kills), what kind of evidence is required (eg: whether the player has to be CERTAIN that the statistic is accurate from firsthand experience, whether a pasted "loot of...:" message is acceptable, whether a typed out line from a screenshot is valid, etc) and perhaps a suggestion that loot statistics are supposed to give as accurate a picture as possible of what the monster is likely to drop (meaning that stats from hunts with bad loot are just as valuable as those from hunts that provided good drops), etc. Obviously you cannot verify whether players upload relative to such guidelines or contrary, but it would be (in my opinion) better than the present situation where there are no stipulations. Or should there simply be a disclaimer saying that statistics can come from anywhere and shouldnt necessarily be trusted?
Ps. I dont feel I was jumping to premature conclusions - my conclusion was that its suspicious, which I stand by (afterall, it was the looking at previous contributions which showed that multiple kills of other bosses had also been added). That isnt to say that it IS inaccurate information (whether deliberate or not) or that I don't respect the other uploads of the user (which from what I saw seem ok), it's to say that I felt this was suspicious and worth looking into.
Thank you for your time and attention, all the best
(Domyl 15:41, October 17, 2010 (UTC))

Lots to read! What I meant is the way you went about this user's edits regarding these bosses, appeared as though you didn't trust the user so went to admins instead. People don't bite, you can ask them things! Anyways, I have sent them a message asking about it now.

I think making a guide for the loot statistics is a good idea, personally though, I don't have the time to think one up and I have plenty in mind to do already when I eventually have the time. That's not to say that you can't do one and add it to the page, if you would like, the page isn't protected anyway. I don't think there is anything wrong with adding statistics from other people, such as from screenshots or cams etc. but I don't think adding single statistics should be done for commonly hunted things, e.g. someone uploading a dl that dropped dragon scale mail wouldn't be much use and would interfere with the accuracy. But I think it really does help to see if anyone else has uploaded the same statistics first and if possible, to check the client version as to not add old stats. That's unless, nothing has changed with that creature because then it's fine to add old ones. If in doubt then users should leave out those statistics and I think that a note saying something like it isn't 100% known where these stats are uploaded from wouldn't hurt, although, I think that is quite obvious. Well, you know what kind of things should and shouldn't be on there.. Beejay 16:27, October 17, 2010 (UTC)

Sorry, I get typing and end up just carrying on. There were several reasons I thought it was an issue for admin to deal with rather than a direct-contact one. Firstly (mainly), the loot statistics page not being clear on what statistics to upload, what to not upload etc.
For example, I would have thought (it seems, incorrectly) that uploading from screenshots would be prohibited (or rather, that being impossible, requested against), because its simply not a good idea for several reasons. For starters, when you upload a statistic from a screenshot, you have to be SURE that the shot is genuine in order for the data to be reliable (and from a community point of view, having it suggested that screenshot uploads are reliable would open the doors for people adding screnshot loot without knowing whether/how to check for a screenshot being false). A more relevant point (as you eluded to) is that people generally take screenshots of monsters that have given them a good drop, not of a whole server log with varied statistics - so lets say I upload some stats from someones dragon-lord hunt screenshots, the chances are that I'd be adding a larger proportion of good drops than would be expected during a hunt. Obviously this particular concern isnt relevant to rare-spawn bosses, but still is for KitN bosses for obvious reasons. Another reason is that a screenshot in the public domain is likely to be seen by multiple people - for example, you could easily have multiple users seeing a screenshot of a ferumbras kill on tibiapic and all of them upload its loot, skewing the statistics

With it seeming most likely (to me) that the stats uploaded were either from screenshots or simply made up, the lack of guidelines makes it difficult to decide whether its even prohibited and worth contacting the user about.
Although my enquiry seems accusatory (reading back on it) and wasn't clear about this, the reason for requesting admin enquiry was that in the absense of such criteria by which to judge, admin would seem to be the only people actually ABLE to judge whether it was even worthy of enquiring about.

I understand that stats like this are never going to be truly accurate as people can (and will) upload stats from good hunts more than from poor hunts, from screenshots and from innacurate souces (eg: OT) and should always be taken with a pinch of salt (so a reminder that they're never truly accurate seems to be a good idea regardless of what guidelines are added).
That said, if you want me to type out some basic guidelines and drop you a line when it's done (for checking, since its an important and oft-used page) then I'd be happy to - obviously though, what these guidelines are is a matter of debate, though I'd say that guidelines designed such that (if followed) they make the statistics as accurate as possible would be the most desirable. Would you agree with that diagnosis as a basis for writing such guidelines? (Domyl 16:50, October 17, 2010 (UTC))

Really sorry, I seem to have written another essay on the subject >< (Domyl 16:51, October 17, 2010 (UTC))

Guidelines: Loot statistics

Added some as per our discussion above...

If you get time, please check it out. I've kinda worked on the assumption that maximising accuracy is the main aim, so certain guidelines I put were to try to get the stats as accurate as possible. (Domyl 20:02, October 17, 2010 (UTC))

I have made some minor changes to be more fiting with the rest of TibiaWiki. I will check more when I have a bit more time. Looks good so far. Beejay 00:09, October 18, 2010 (UTC)

Creature contest

"Creature Contest Edit Thank you for taking part in TibiaWiki's creature contest. The images you added for your submissions Mutated Auroch and Shirty Camel do not appear to be self made, especially looking at the outline of the camel picture. Is there a way you can prove that these images are indeed self made? Beejay 18:46, September 30, 2010 (UTC)"

Its what did you told me. Sorry for do not answering by for so long but I already don't even know how it works here :) All what I can say is, at firstly I made another one monster called "Serpent Cave" so there are 3 monsters. Secondly all of those pictures was been maded by my person. I was used photoshop to do them as I remember It was allowed. If you are interested I can search (if I still have some) and send you working photos mean not ending as they are in contest . "Mutated Auroch" and "Shirty Camel" was been done just in photoshop also my "Serpent Cave" was painted on my computer by me I maded photo and edit them in photoshop to. It takes a lot of my time to do all of those monsters. I will patiently waiting for your reply and if you decide you want some of "study form of those photos" I will send them to you.

Greetings Rachelka 13:03, October 23, 2010 (UTC)

Thank you for your reply, I think the confirmation is enough. Since the two submissions haven't been removed I think it's safe to just accept them. Regarding your other submission Serpent Cave, it had been accepted already so there's no need to worry about that one. Beejay 13:18, October 24, 2010 (UTC)

Question concerning the latest Creature Contest

Seeing as how the website got revamped I couldn't find the link to the creature contest, in which I participated with 3 entries. I would like to know what happened to it and if/where I can find it. Also, a possible date for the results with the winners and other important things. Thank you.

The creature contest is still there, you can find it by searching for contest. If you want to, you can also change the new wikia's design to an older one by going through your user preferences. Please see User:Bennie for more information regarding the contest. Thank you. Beejay 13:18, October 24, 2010 (UTC)

I have sold 2 of these recently on two different game worlds, (Antica and Xerena) and bought another one on Nova.

I know for a fact that the price that was previously given of 500,000 - 700,000 is incorrect, as I sold one for 5,000,000 and another for 6,000,000.

I have evidence that the price is such as I have dealt with this item extensively in game; What evidence do you have to refute these facts, if any ?

Perhaps you could do some research before arrogantly reverting changes which you clearly know little about.

Thankyou. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Aoa (talkcontribs). Remember to sign your comments!

Aoa, (please remember to sign your message on talk pages - if unsure, you'll see the note at the top of the page explaining how).

I presume (though I cannot speak directly for Beejay) that the decision to revert would be due to it being very much a world-based deal.
The particular worlds that you have experience with the item may have particularly high values (due to low numbers of the item in existance there perhaps) or you may just have gotten lucky. Ofcourse, you may even be correct that the price on multiple worlds (ie: more than just the two that you know about) is in multiple millions, but that does not mean that it is everywhere (or even a majority).
With items of this kind (previously relatively easy to attain, now very difficult to attain) the values will span a very wide range - as is seen with ornamented axes which go for as low as 50 thousand on some worlds and well into multiple hundreds of thousands on others.
I would say the currently printed range is likely to represent the majority (500k-6kk) but that putting a value of 5kk-6kk (which you did previously) is dubious - it could very easily be seen as an attempt to artificially increase the value for personal benefit (eg: "PlayerX: Go see wiki, it says 5kk-6kk, im not selling below 4kk" when the item is worth much less than that on the world in question) when a much wider range would be more appropriate - and as it happens, I would personally agree with the value you posted most recently (500k-6kk).
Super specific numbers are not appropriate for super-rare items where the number on the server is low and 10 or 15 of the item will sway the value DRAMATICALLY.

I would be careful about throwing accusations of arrogance around, especially when followed with a line that could be seen as arrogance personified (presuming to be more knowledgable than someone whos knowledge you know next to nothing about).
(Domyl 14:37, October 25, 2010 (UTC))

Thanks Domyl, I don't think my previous explanation was clear enough for some reason.

Removing the copied information you put here, I know full well what the page says, but thanks. So why do I need to show evidence that my motives for reverting your edit aren't just? You have dealt with this item on 3 out of 77 worlds and know this item's prices? You call me arrogant? You're evidence is unseen. Prove to me that people buy this item for 1,000,000+ on every server like you claim and you can have it as that price. But to be honest, with the extensive knowledge you claim to have of this item, it appears that you are merely trying to make this price so for every server, which isn't going to happen. TibiaWiki shows guidelines and information of items, in doing so it attempts to show the prices of all servers, not a few, not the majority, but as many as it can.

You are an unknown contributor, you do not follow the standards and you made a dramatic price change for an item. I am not the one in question here, so don't insult me. I thought with the obvious points I left on your talk page that you would be aware of why I reverted your edit. You don't seem like you are unintelligent, so I don't know why you would call me arrogant, I am stating how it is on TibiaWiki. If you have a problem about the way the prices are done, then start up a conversation about this in the right place on TibiaWiki talk:Community Portal, instead of venting it on me. Beejay 00:34, October 26, 2010 (UTC)

Sorry Im new in wikia and I didnt know how to read ur msgs or how to write you back. What you say might be true, that not all onslaught are botters/cheaters, but big part of them are. If I made a list here I'd have to type more than half the guild (only ones that I know about, theres prolly more). Also they are hosting other small quests such as banshee, goroma, mermaid comb and they kill people who dont pay for their service (there was a player recently killed for trying to do mermaid comb quest, Arqueiro Da Leste). I want to state this because people who make world transfers read this section, and they should know whats the truth about the server, what's really going on, and not only who were the first levels 100/200 etc and its history. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by God of asians (talkcontribs). Remember to sign your comments!

God of asians (please remember to sign comments - if unsure, you'll see instructions above for how to do so).
As regards information on world-pages, some servers pages have pro/con lists for that world - things like relative prices of items, whether there are many or few players (ie: whether caves are empty or full and whether respawn rates are slow or fast). If the server is dominated by a particular group of players, then it may be suitable to have lists such as these with a "cons" point noting that there is a group of players with a monopoly over quest services.
Note: I dont speak for anyone but myself, obviously you've asked for an administrators opinion - mine is simply a prediction of what you may expect to hear from the admin.
(Domyl 17:25, October 26, 2010 (UTC)) Additional - having looked more closely at the edit history of the page in question (Trimera) it is immediately obvious why your edits were reversed.
Specific allegations of botting and powerabusing are not relevant to this site. They are both fairly common themes on a number of servers (unfortunately), but for a fansite to have pages openly accusing specific groups of players as such is not suitable.
It is understandable to be unhappy with such problems (as YOU see it), but remember that tibia's staff has the responsibility to deal with it, and in the case of bots there is already a system in place to catch them.
Sorry, but your version of that page was wholly inappropriate.

Bonelord Eyes...

I was looking through some items, and I found the price of Bonelord Eyes highly exaggerated...

Is this vandalism, or are those prices correct?

Yes, the price was too high. The price of addons items increased due to the achievements, but not so much, so i lowered the price.

About Tibia Bugs

After the big lightbearer event bug, i remember lot of bugs (hunting spears, draken boots, etc) that affected lot of people. I search for those bugs on the wiki and noticed that there are not a page for the bugs of tibia (or maybe i dont know how to search), and i think it will be a good idead to add one, with information like "what is a bug" "how to report it" "historic bugs" etc.
What do you think about it?
Thanks » Sez ~ Talk « 17:58, November 16, 2010 (UTC)

I had a quick look earlier and I couldn't see much about previously known bugs in Tibia. So I think that is a good idea and I see no problems with doing it. Incase you need to think or remember of a few, there was the one with Sniper Gloves and there were two aparent bugs with Demon Legs, atleast the second could be seen as one even if that was how it was originally intended due to it changing after 2-3 days. It might be an idea giving some information on famous people who discovered critical bugs and were given some nice rewards over it. There's also some as seen like:
ArieswarLevel76Bug and OpenGL graphical bug Beejay 00:15, November 17, 2010 (UTC)

Ok, just one more question... how the page should be named? it cant be just bug or tibia bug. They already exist.
Thanks » Sez ~ Talk « 14:12, November 18, 2010 (UTC)

Good question.. I thought maybe 'Tibia Bugs', 'Report Bugs', 'About Bugs' or 'Bug Reports'. I think the later two would be the better options for naming with the choice we have to chose from. But there may be a better name out there for the page! Beejay 15:39, November 18, 2010 (UTC)

Warning Icon Yellow
The user Leree (talkcontribsbot contribsblock logblock) has vandalized the page Talk:Achievements. Please review their edits and take appropriate actions if necessary.

Leree removed a lot of info and also re-arranged (i.e. cut out and pasted in other places) info on the discussion page for achievements. Info that might be interesting to know even if the achievements are "solved". Sincerely,

I will give you just my opinion. He didnt vandalized the page. He just re-arraged info, all the info its just there, but just re-arranged. I know that you shouldnt touch the comments on talk pages, but the achievements talk page its really a mess and sometimes becomes very long, so I think its a good idea to have all the suggestions in just one list instead of have several lists or comments to read. Maybe its good left the new list, and put all the older comments in the last archive instead of just delete. » Sez ~ Talk « 14:53, November 18, 2010 (UTC)

I had a quick look at it last night but I will have a more thorough look at this later when I have more time to see what information was removed. I do agree that the page needs a good clean up so maybe I'll have a go at that too. I don't think that Leree was planning on deliberately vandalising the page though. Potential Vandalism

The User:Caracolita1986 has changed some items prices. Some of their changes are not vandalism, but in the Banana Staff and Legion Helmet pages, he unreasonably raised the price, and even if some users reverts his changes, he edits the page again and again. Please review the history of that pages, and take the appropiatte actions.
Thanks » Sez ~ Talk « 16:17, November 27, 2010 (UTC)

They are changing info but are doing it according to the standards, or are atleast trying to, so I don't think they are doing this to vandalise the wiki. Many people, especially new users, are likely to not see or check on the recent changes, or the history of pages, so they won't see the summary on why something was changed. So it's handy to give them a message explaining why something was undone occasionally.

Other than that being said, I don't see the edits done to Legion Helmet or Banana Staff as so bad, I mean it's unlikely, but they very well could sell for that amount normally somewhere. Afterall, the Voodoo Doll really does sell for around 30k on the server that I play. So I wouldn't put it passed people to buy them for such an amount. Beejay 16:30, November 27, 2010 (UTC)

Thanks for answer me. Sorry but i didnt agree with you. I mainly play on one of the most expensive server, i bought the 5 voodoo dolls at 70-75k ea, and still, bought the 5 banana staffs for 50k. There is no way that in one server 1 banana staff costs 50k. That is just scam. And set insane prices for scam, its considered vandalism.
Anyway, thats the reason of the title of my post "potential", and i didnt asked for a block, but im not very good with the english, so maybe you could talk with him or explain all the things you already explained to me :P
Thanks again » Sez ~ Talk « 18:14, November 27, 2010 (UTC)

Beejay the only reason why I changed/edit the price is becuase I have been doing research on other wolds for these current items. To get the current market value so people can get a better idea, and not the price which could have been 2+ years ago when the item was harder to get.

Edit War/Vandalism

Hi Beejay, just figured I'd leave this message here. I could use some advice. What should I do if I see myself getting pulled into an edit war? See:Christmas Token. I've tried to leave messages for the user that keeps changing it but he ignores them and just changes it back.
Detailed version: Christmas Token was valued at 500-3000, and this user changed it to 200-2000. Knowing full well it goes for 3000 on my server, I changed the end value back and left a comment asking to not change both ends of a price range. He then changed it again, so I posted on his talk page to explain my intentions. He ignored the message and changed the price back to 2000 again. Now I've changed it again, but am afraid this is turning into an edit war. If you were in my position, what would you do? Right now I'm unsure if it's vandalism or if he's just not seeing my messages or something.

How'd you turn the Reward Box to a cool page with a Spoiler bar and everything? When I edited it I just input text, nothing else :/.

Also how do make a gif to put as a picture? For the box it's not hard cause it's a box from all sides but for other stuff it might be interesting to know how to do it!

/Sir Anthrax

My friend got a pair of softs from the Reward Box I was editing. I'm just wondering how to make a list of the stuff that they can turn into so if I or anyone else gets something new I can just add it to the list.

Also, the Welcome message says:

"We hope you feel at home soon!". Why soon? Why not now? Delete soon! >:D

Anyway have a good one! —The preceding unsigned comment was added by SirAnthrax (talkcontribs). Remember to sign your comments!

I seriously don't get this "Talk" thingy on wiki. I'm just replying to something I saw you asked.

The message that's welcoming people "Welcome" has a line at the end:

"Good luck with your edits and we hope you feel at home soon!"

I misspelled home tho :P.

Thanks, the asterisk was what I was after!

Reward Box looks the same as a Present Box, yes. So I guess you can use the Present Box picture.

Isn't there something like Facebook had or any other social network site where I can see my messages and your replies in correct order? Right now I just click (in the email I recieve) "UserTalk:SirAnthrax" and I see your replies but not my messages to you.

Anyway thanks for the help regarding stuff :P

Moved the text to be with the rest of the conversation. Beejay 15:02, December 24, 2010 (UTC)

It involves the three different kinds of Marble Statues, and the Marlin and Marlin Trophy; a user by the name of User:OVERGOD continues to grossly overvalue the items, most probably for his own self gain...

I think that is necessary to upload loot statistics to 8.7, because there are creatures that drop items to mount now... Sir'Iguela 20:39, December 28, 2010

Few days ago, I saw in loot statistics of dark apprentices that was needed to kill 57.000+ to drop a 'reins'... But it isn't true... since reins was added in last update. Is really necessary to upload loot statistics to 8.7... if not the drop rate of mount items would be very low if the kills of 8.7 still together 8.6. I hope you understand me.

Ok .. so from now, should I add loot statistics in 8.6? Sir'Iguela 23:58, December 28, 2010 (UTC)

Thanks for the info Beejay!

Err.. What do I do?

Hey, I was wondering if you could lend me some advice, as you know, I'm still a bit new at this so I could use some wise words XD. Tryker1991 was someone that was editting prices of items like Cobra Crown and Sweet Smelling Bait, and we warned him several times to stop. Just a little while ago, he changed the edits back and cleared his talk page, then wrote a message to me, here. I wasn't sure what should be done, so I thought I'd ask you. I've undone his edits and left him a message again but it's clear he has no understanding of why I am doing it or any intention to stop. Thanks,  † Myst Leingod –  ₪ Talk ₪  – Contribs †  18:43, December 30, 2010 (UTC)

I think they may get the message now. It really looks as though they didn't understand how our guidelines with prices go but it's not nice to be ignored when giving advice and explanations so this is what they have now got. Beejay 20:35, December 30, 2010 (UTC)

i am not telling you how to do your work but blocking him for a year was a little bit harsh. StarygurlTalk|info 20:48, December 30, 2010 (UTC)

True. Like I said to them, if they want to discuss it they still can, they can still edit their talk page and I'd be very willing to listen. But I will not accept such comments they made to Myst saying that those edits of Myst's are crap when they've been working hard and actually takes the time to message people with reasons why their edits have been undone, which is more so than I do. I'd do the same for any other good user who has been bad mouthed as such. Beejay 21:05, December 30, 2010 (UTC)

protected page - Reins

Reins is protected. Still, one information is not correct there. It definetely doesn't drop from Acolyte of the Cult - my friend killed at least 1500 of them and none dropped. Moreoever, the person who added the monster to drop-by is completly not reliable (3 pages edited inculding "sell obsidian knife to Rashid for 18000 gp").

Thanks for correcting the page/unlocking it

Statistics version

My friend, why the statistcs should be uploaded as 8.6, if they refer to a hunt made on client Also, i will take a look in the loot statistics page soon. I am running out my vacation tomorrow, so was using the time maximum to talk with friends, didnt notice all the good changes in this wiki.

About the changes in this wiki, i think the new look like sux, luck can log in and have the good old organized standard. Maguu 20:11, January 2, 2011 (UTC)

Again, i just looked statistics talk, i agree with Daniel Letalis, regarding the monsters that drop "Munt Itens" that they should have a new statistics for version 8.7, else who just take a loot in statistics will think that they drop mount items since before the mounts were added to game. And this would be a reasonable mistake, since cip usualy gives new uses for already existing items. And since it is easy to avoid it, i think for monsters that don't drop "Mount itens" it should be changed back to version 8.6, but for new ones better create a own statistics. I have a little problem with loot statistic perser version. There is "Version:8.6 to 8.71" so it's look correct, but when I upload data perser add it to version 8.6 and now there is 8.71 tibia client version that I use. Ofc I fallowed instruction with clearing cache and realoading page, but nothing changed. So I think I'll stop adding new satistics, cause perser add it to wrong version of the client.

another page protection request

Hello again. I'm not sure, but images in Undead Cavebear article are useless for other people(similar to snake god's wristguard - images were deleted). I'm pretty sure that my edit will be reverted if I'll try to remove screenshots so I want to learn your opinion about that. How about temp. or perm. protection for this page?
 « Leree »  « Talk »  20:15, March 30, 2011 (UTC)

Although this was directed to Beejay, I feel inclined to share my own opinion. Yes, I agree that some of the pictures serve no use and are merely to show off, but there are 2 images which I do want to retain and those are the ones in Ramoa (the mount's page could use one of the others?) as they provide evidence that it spawns in that location.

But with that said, no, I don't think protection is a good idea at present. That page is in need of attention by people who have the experience -- and that often is not people who had accounts years ago to be allowed to bypass the page protections today. Our losses are far outweighed by our potential gains. It doesn't hurt to just remove the images from articles, and, if they're persistent in reverting, you can inform an admin and they'll give them a formal warning / block. Anyway, I will remove the 3 images which are boastful of the mount, and just leave the Ramoa pictures showing the spawn. -- Sixorish 06:55, March 31, 2011 (UTC)

Hello, today I killed a Battlemaster Zunzu, when I killed it, I went to look at the wiki what are the loot statistics, and I saw that there are only 2 kills of that monster so I thought to add my kill, but I'm not sure if I know how to do it, because when I try to parse the information, it tells me that we are on tibia 8.6, and we are now on 8.72 if I'm not wrong.

I'm not sure if I will do it correctly, so I paste this here. I would be grateful if you tell me how to do it, and you can also do it if you want

Statistics made after Update 8.6.

Hello, Zeelck here

I wanted to first of all say I'm sorry, I was way off while editing the Epee price value, I changed it without knowing, just what I though and I know I was wrong, for that I apologize deeply. Anyways I wanted to ask you about the prices of Honeycomb, Wolf Paw and Bat Wing. They make no sense at all, if you see the Bear Paw is sold at 600-1000 gp and a character only needs 50 of them for an outfit quest while for the Bat Wing for example a character needs 140 of them in total to complete all quests that have to do with them therefore they should have more value than the Bear Paw since they have the same difficulty to get. Also I'm trying to buy them in Tibia and no one sells them at the stated price here, just wanted to point it out.

  • Can you tell me how the prices up in the Wiki are regulated??

Im pretty sure those of the bat wing and honeycomb are not the right ones....

Also you told me you could give me your opinion about the prices... I wana hear it please :)

Hello. I would like to report a serious issue with tibia wiki. Under firefox 3.6.18 and chrome 12.0.742.100 for linux, the wiki isn't displaying correctly the tables in any page. Hoping that you can take the required measures to solve the issue,

Shimmer Items

Ohai. For some reasons you've removed screenshoots of new shimmer items from their pages. They contained shimmer swimmer, item required for transformation and AN ITEM itself with description ("look"). I don't realy know where to ask for reason as its not one item but few, so thats why I'm here. So: Why did you remove it? ~_~

Joriom 20:23, July 7, 2011 (UTC)

Well, since I removed the images the best place to ask would be me so you came to the right place! Quick answer, they are not needed because they provide no extra information than what can already be seen in the item templates therefore, they are not useful. Now, the long boring answer, there's an image already on the page which we can see what these items look like with a far better quality so why would there be a need for extra images? For items, we are meant to only have images to prove that items existance in the game. If an image provides extra information or is useful for any other reason, then it would most likely be more appropriate to have that image on the history page instead. Unlike Wikia and other fansites, TibiaWiki doesn't like lots of images. Infact, it is better not to add images at all to pages, excluding quests where these images can prove more useful than the actual descriptions to players. One reason is when people see images on TibiaWiki, many like to assume that here is a place to show off and get their name recognised when really, the majority of pictures on display here are only good for deleting. it's not like I removed the images out of spite, but someone would have removed them for the same reason eventually even if I didn't. I can give you some tips if you would like on how to make better screenshots. We actually have a guide at Help:Screenshot Guide but unfortunately it isn't finished yet. Beejay 00:10, July 8, 2011 (UTC)

Item Prices

Hello Beejay :)

I know you said is still too early to set a price on the golden fir cone but, at least in Magera, i tried to get it because I had 50 gold ingots, and got only 5 golden fir cones, which means the average to get the item is only 1 each 10 gold ingots, so as I may need to get 10 gold ingots to get 1 golden fir cone, and gold ingots worth around 20-40K. I might need up to 200-400K to get only 1 golden fir cone, and to make profit (if selling it), the price must be even higher, so that's why i posted it was 250-500k =< !!

º - º is it wrong? D: —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Kaiser Feer (talkcontribs). Remember to sign your comments!

Your maths might not be wrong but I will be shocked if that price for gold ingots stays at a constant. Of course, prices are always very high after an update therefore it is unreasonable to immediately judge what things are worth. People with a lot of money will not care about what they "should" be paying for something when they want to be the first to get it. Also your statistics for how many gold ingots you need are not accurate after a mere 50 have been used. There is still the possibility that you may have been very unlucky so judging on just that alone while excluding what the prices are on the server is enough to leave the prices for atleast two weeks (minimum). I'm tempted to protect these pages from editing so that prices cannot be changed but I think that not protecting the pages would be best for more information. Thank you for asking instead of just ignoring my changes! :) Beejay 00:49, July 8, 2011 (UTC)

Well thanks anyways :] also you can check the comments about the Golden Fir Cone, and there some people did an average in % with their examples...and the average to get the item was 8% =/ so i do still think it may worth that much xD —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Kaiser Feer (talkcontribs). Remember to sign your comments!

The price of gold ingots will soon decrease when the players with the big money get what they want. Some people on the talk page, which I had already seen and a group of people (not just one person) got a 15%. I've been a player and an editor on TibiaWiki for a long enough time to know that prices right now are not just wrong and inaccurate but are just going to convince some players and confuse others. Also, the price of one server is not enough to get an estimate of value. Just have a look at Talk:Main Page at the bottom "Please Help Me (replica of the sceptre)" to see what I mean about prices being too early. Beejay 01:21, July 8, 2011 (UTC)

From wikipedia:Wikipedia:Purge. The purge function is a handy way to clear a page's server cache. This forces the wiki software to rebuild the page completely. Hey hey, I'm not around much but I'm more likely to be on here. Not sure where you can see it on the wikia skin but if you need me you can also use Special:EmailUser/Beejay to send me an email, I check there more than on Tibia too.

Now, about the images. Personally, I hate to see images on TibiaWiki because it encourages more users to add images and pages then end up acting more as a gallery than anything else. Therefore, I wouldn't recommend adding them. However just like DM said, the best way for you to get images onto TibiaWiki is to become an autoconfirmed user or upload it to a website such as imageshack.

And I believe that editing talk pages also counts as an edit but I'm not sure on this. ... 20 minutes later and I'm still trying to get Wikia to let me save this message.. Beejay 02:02, July 18, 2011 (UTC)

Demonic Candy Balls

Thank you for the information about the candy balls.

Regarding my edit to Crusteca Gigantica

Hi there,

I have no doubt that it does spawn on Treasure Island, and i apologise for removing the information regarding the new spot, however my friend and I are highly against spoiling it for others where it spawns man... Same thing happened with the diapason. Now that people know, its spread all over and it ruins the fun of the game. I mean i like tibiawiki for certain information regarding prices, but i feel that this site spoils too much information regarding tibia :( . Just my thoughts.

Tw :)

It's wikia. If you don't want to read spoilers just don't open spoiler information. We won't delete anything useful from this site. About informations spoiled here - cipsoft will decide when it's too many(eg. by sending mail to tibiawiki admin or something). If you won't read anything here you will find these informations in forum threads(like post in tibiopedia which confirms this location) or on another fansites so i don't see any bigger reason to remove spoilers from pages. Btw. I can't decide about that cuz i'm just a user, but i'm pretty sure about that i wrote above.

I'm not adding UNUSEFUL information as you said, those articles i edited where because i made transaction on my server, and those where the price of it, so, my point is, I wrote them based on my server price, ofc i don't want to write lies here, I will appreciate, if you can stop blaming me just because you're not happy with those edits, I just wanted to help some, but if you think i'm just make bad things here, well, you can close my acc anytime you want. but don't put it's a wiki made by all ppl, what's obviusly not as i see.

No problem :P

I hate that stupid hackers spamming fansite -.-

Indeed. Please protect some old and well known pages like Ferumbras, Dragon Lord etc. which are usually targets of these vandals. I guess there is no reason to edit these pages anymore.

Those pages haven't been heavily vandalised like the quest pages have been, which is why they are not currently under the same protection. Since I don't understand regex I will ask Sixorish if he will block the website. Beejay 14:39, August 22, 2011 (UTC)
