Autumn patch

Are you sure that the creature page you created is called Ethershreck? Because on the achievements page it is spelt Ethershrek. Beejay 16:20, September 21, 2011 (UTC)

I guess the name comes from the Grizzly Adams revamped! article where it is called Ethershreck. Sixorish 16:31, September 21, 2011 (UTC)

Yep, the "ck" sounds like german linguistic usage, so maybe it's misspelled there. Kleiner Druid 17:06, September 21, 2011 (UTC)

Hello, I think that need to change the name of 'Envelope from the Wizards' to 'Envelope From the Wizards', because this name appear when loot statistics are added (I did it but someone changed).

If not, I think that must change the name when adding loot statistics (have no idea if it's possible or how to do it).

Waiting for reply, I hope you understood what I said. Thanks!

Sir'Iguela 21:50, September 21, 2011 (UTC)

"From" is a word like "of", "is" and "the". It's not usually a word that is classes as important (atleast for a capital letter in a title). Therefore the correct standing of the title should be "Envelope from the Wizards". So for this, it should be corrected on the loot statistics rather than the article. This is only a quick reply as it is late my time. The one with most knowledge about the loot statistics is User:Daniel Letalis. If I can figure out how to do it, then tomorrow I will try though. Beejay 00:06, September 22, 2011 (UTC)

I just tested (without uploading) it should work as normal now. Beejay 14:42, September 23, 2011 (UTC)

Server Save

Hello,

I'm not sure, but I think someone of the admin crew just changed the template to change the serversave time on all worlds. If you edit the world pages, there is still the old time listed. "| serversave = 09:00 CET"

And the following pages still use the old times of the serversaves.

http://tibia.wikia.com/wiki/Germany

http://tibia.wikia.com/wiki/United_States_of_America

Kleiner Druid 23:35, September 22, 2011 (UTC)

I have made the change on page Template:Infobox World/List. That will do the trick for now.
Ps: All you need to do to link a page is have squared brackets around the page title (like above: [[Template:Infobox World/List]]). Beejay 14:42, September 23, 2011 (UTC)

Outfitter

There seem to be a glitch/issue with the Outfitter feature. Whenever choosing white, or gray'ish the color on Summoner Cape displays as turquoise (skin color) which is completely wrong. Please have a look at it ASAP! Need to use the Outfitter to print some renders to screenys. Mr. H 03:33, September 24, 2011 (UTC)

Registered user

Hello Beejay. I want to ask you something, since you are a active admin right now. If you check my contribs you'll see I'm retired for some years and now I am back, and a lot changed on tibiawiki. I tried to edit several pages to complement information, such as the Secret Service Quest/Spoiler (and many others) and I get a message that the page is locked, only "registered" users can edit it. Can you explain me what is a registered user and how can I become one? It's not just for admins, right?

Thank you in advance.

Another user had a similar problem as you a while back (check Talk:Administrator_Team#Autoconfirmed). His solution was to make 10 "dummy" edits to make him an autoconfirmed user ("again"). I don't think our protection system has changed since you last contributed actively, so my guess is that this would fix your issue as well. -- Sixorish 20:00, September 29, 2011 (UTC)

Thank you Sinorish, I tried a few dummy edits and it just worked =)

Hey, Just wondering if you could update the mainpage so that the link to the most recent update brings the user to 9.2 rather than 9.1. Thanks!

Elgarel Kator 20:18, October 1, 2011 (UTC)

Apparently, the Killing in the name of... Quest/Spoiler page is locked to editing, so I'm trying to reach someone who has the power to edit this page because I wanted to add that they have changed some things like Sea Serpents task, now killing Young Sea Serpents counts towards your task total, which wasn't the case before this previous update 9.1. Changing it so it looks like the Necromancer or Priestess task would be beneficial for everyone. Also I don't think it should say the word "or", because while you can do one or the other, they both count toward the task. So it should say "and", or "and/or". Thanks

AbuseFilter

Hey Beejay - I've had a talk with Wikia staff, and they've enabled the AbuseFilter extension to hopefully give you a better and faster response to the spam you've been getting. Hopefully the filters I've added will help with the spam, but you might want to modify them if and when the spammers adapt, let me know on my talk page if you have any problems. -- RandomTime 19:32, November 16, 2011 (UTC)

Thank you very much! Beejay 19:44, November 16, 2011 (UTC)

Has this been tested?

I am using the testing feature it comes with and none of User:Keterzin's edits are matched by the filter (testing filter 3). This means either it does not work or it does not work for edits made before the extension was installed. -- Sixorish 22:23, November 16, 2011 (UTC)

Yes, I tested it - the reason the 3rd filter doesn't show up on the test is because the number of edits the user has made is checked by the extension, and Keterzin has more than the required number now. This won't be the case on new spam accounts -- RandomTime 22:28, November 16, 2011 (UTC)

You did well with that filtrer :)

I guess I have to move somewhere else.

I'm sorry for the work that you had to do because of me.

Take care. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Karziny (talkcontribs). Remember to sign your comments!

Guess that proves it works! Thanks a lot. Beejay 23:23, November 16, 2011 (UTC)

As it seems to work I'm going to start unprotecting pages that were severe targets of vandalism. I'll monitor it though in case they find a way to bypass it.

Do we need to add every url though to the filter or should it catch a pattern amongst them? -- Sixorish 23:42, November 16, 2011 (UTC)

Edits

Hello,

haven't you noticed something strange in many pages here? I wonder what is it and maybe you've also found it out. So to point is there is some stuff (visible when you take "edit") but I can't even see them when the page is submited (my friend said he also don't see a single sign of this) i can give you an example like in page "achievemenets" i can see no spoiler how to get a single one, or hmm "ribstribe" (boss of bonebeasts) -> I wanted to add location of the boss, I've pressed "edit" and the text was written " peninsula tomb, here >mapper cords<, but there was no single link in original side (like it was only avaliable for editors).

Hope you get what do I mean :)

Kind regards Teuty 20:28, November 24, 2011 (UTC)

The only strange things I have noticed were the imagemaps and spoiler tags which happened about a week ago. Now the imagemaps are working fine for me and so are most of the spoiler tags. With the Achievements page, due to the spoiler tags being removed as they made all spoilers invisible, we removed them and added a note therefore all spoilers had no spoiler warning to click on, as like I said, those tags were removed. This should now be resolved so if there are any more issues which logged out users can see, it is likely that it is due to them not being logged in because all logged in users see the fully up-to-date versions of articles or their pages are cached (I can tell you how to purge pages if necessary). If it was something else you meant then please give me more detail, but as I can see on the Ribstride page it is due to the issue with the spoiler tags which will not be resolved on all pages containing spoiler tags so quick. Spoiler

Hey i am making a Wikia in spanish, and i'm interesting in use the "Spoiler" i use the templates in the "Achivements Page" but my spoiler thing don't work, any idea?

Garethderioth 07:46, November 29, 2011 (UTC)

Spoiler is not a template, it's an extension. -- Sixorish 10:09, November 29, 2011 (UTC)

Thank you for the info. But, can i install manually the extension? can i see the spoiler extension here? or just with the contact admin? Garethderioth 20:58, November 29, 2011 (UTC)

I'm not sure if the source is up-to-date but you can find some version of it at Template:Spoiler block. Remember I said it's not a template -- meaning, you can't use {{Spoiler block}} to produce the same effect as <spoiler></spoiler>.

There are many weaknesses with the spoiler extension (not sure why we still use it), perhaps you'd rather develop a template using JavaScript instead. -- Sixorish 21:49, November 29, 2011 (UTC)

Thanks, But i have one more question. If that template doesn't work then why do you have it? and i think that you are still using because there isn't more extensions about that.

Garethderioth 15:26, December 1, 2011 (UTC)

Let me just reword what Sixorish has already said as I think you misunderstood. The template on pages does work but will not work with only copy and paste. The template can be copied but the extension cannot. To make the template work you have to have the extension installed first because it doesn't come automatically with Wikis.

If you want the same spoiler as TibiaWiki does, then the information on downloading extensions is on the link which Sixorish provided. We are still using the extension but there are better alternatives out there (e.g. not installing an extension and making your very own spoiler template). Beejay 17:26, December 1, 2011 (UTC)

How do i avoid creating duplicated images? foggy 16:10, December 2, 2011 (UTC)

I'm not sure if it's available for you but on image pages there is a rename link at the top which will move the image page just like you would for an article. Beejay 16:18, December 2, 2011 (UTC)

Implemented

Hey Beejay,

Are you sure Flower Pot and Seeds and other similar stuff is implemented during update 8.1, like you added? Because I think it was update 8.6, while adding it to Watering Can.

-- Bennie (talk ~ fellows) 21:37, December 17, 2011 (UTC)

You've got me checking now! Updates/8.6 was after the Dryads had been added to the game because the raids started in early June. I remember Seeds being available before the Dryad raids first appeared and you can see on Loot Statistics:Marid and Dryad's history page that seeds came in around Updates/8.1 (I think Update 8.54 was when Daniel made the Loot Statistics parser). So I find it strange that they would add both Flower Pot and Watering Can after they had implemented Seeds and Dryads. Therefore I think Watering can was probably added in 8.1 rather than 8.6. There's little telling with CipSoft though and I am making a few mistakes here and there. Beejay 18:35, December 19, 2011 (UTC)

What is exactly the definition of implemented? Is an item implemented when it's in the sprites, when it can be seen in some treasure room, but not obtainable, or when it is actually obtainable through a quest/NPC/etc. ? But since it's some time ago I can't remember exactly, so your are probably right. -- Bennie (talk ~ fellows) 19:04, December 19, 2011 (UTC)

To be honest, I'm not sure and I haven't really thought about it either. I think it may complicate the matter if only done when been seen, as it may have been viewable since long ago yet no one had actually saw it. When I think back to the Svargrond update, they had pictures of all these new weapons they were adding, now I would count that as being implemented even though they weren't all obtainable at the time (since they officially released the pictures, I would imagine they had names and stats also). Now if they were done only when they were actually obtainable, would that be thanks to the previous update (making it possible)? Or would that be because the creature wasn't hunted enough and already had the loot (maybe the update made the creature appear more in-game)? Or could it be something like both?

I don't remember there being a discussion for a guide on it so that's just how I have been adding them. Maybe I have been doing it all wrong. Implementing them when seen would be a great help for older updates which I especially have no knowledge of. This gets even harder when the only information is from when it was added to TibiaWiki. But the rest I'm not sure of.. Beejay 19:38, December 19, 2011 (UTC)

Zugurosh loot statistics page

Hi, in Zugurosh loot statistics page, there are a lot of edits in just few minutes (december 5, 2011) and they are very similar, i think that Casio, the guy who edit the page make some mistakes adding the same loot again and again.

Some Golden Fruits

Some Golden fruits, can you edit it for me? thx ;) —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Mukkinha (talkcontribs). Remember to sign your comments!

You are asking the wrong person because I don't believe with names shown on TibiaWiki and since we do not have standards with this I do not like to add them. It makes others believe that their names should also be placed here. Beejay 00:36, February 20, 2012 (UTC)

I got the item through a bug, and I reported that I've already been fixed, the least you can add this information? my proof is "17:45 You see the famous golden bug.

It weighs 12.50 oz.

Editing

Hey,

I wanted to add links from the Mapper to some NPC sites so that people can find them faster. After I edited 3 pages there came a message that I would spam. I didn't want to spam. I just thought I've got some time at the moment and I can use it to help expanding TibiaWiki.

Why am I just allowed to edit 3 sites? Is it against the rules to edit more pages at one day?

Or is it just a safety measure against people who want to damage this website?

Kiddo8s8 09:22, April 18, 2012 (UTC)

Hey Kiddo8s8,

It's just an automaticly anti-spam tool for new accounts, because new accounts could be created by spammers for the sole use of vandalism. After you made 10 edits and have an account older than 3 days you can edit all you want. -- Bennie (talk ~ fellows) 09:30, April 18, 2012 (UTC)

I knew some shileds came to other servers also, However. there is not many, around 90% or higher of all shileds were made at Antica. But the numbers of shileds that exsist is true from 2002 and 2004. It was posted by cipsoft very long time ago. have played since 2001 or so. But I said at 2012 that it is impossible to find out how many shileds it exsist unless cipsoft looking for they on all servers, That is why I said perhaps 50% or less.

Feel free to edit about all shileds comes from antica if you want, however like I said. the numbers of shileds that ever were made and exsist is true.

- Thanks for having the best fansite of Tibia.

Nilsor's Waterskin

can you check if there is a sprite change for this item as there is for Ceiron's Waterskin?
EDIT:Wolf Tooth Chain (Ceiron) i think thats the wrong sprite ~ Vapaus

I definitely uploaded the correct sprites, it now has flecks of yellow/gold in it and the Waterskin is now red. I can't yet see the new images, which I guess, you are also seeing, but these were the only images I had to upload. What you may find and I am sure that most uploading new files do see, is that the time it takes for the new images to appear, takes longer than the changes made to an article, it's not normally an immediate change. I don't know if purging helps, but the outfit images I added beforehand seemed to load much faster after doing so but that might also be because the servers caught up beforehand to the edits yesterday first.

Edit: Oops! I just checked Nilsor's Waterskin and yes, there needs to be a new image there also, it's the same as Ceiron's Waterskin. Wolf Tooth Chain (Ceiron) will be correct after the new image is loaded, no need to upload a newer one. Beejay 23:43, June 27, 2012 (UTC)

yea i figured they changed nilsor's aswell, thanks for verifying. about the wolf tooth~, i saw the new sprite, don't remember who uploaded it but it was under Wolf_Tooth_Chain_(Ceiron).gif then it was deleted. the one i'm seeing in the item's page is still the current version i don't know why tho.
~ Vapaus

The newer image is working for me now, so it shouldn't be long for you if you can't see it yet. Those other ones were also what I uploaded under File:Wolf Tooth Chain (Ceiron) (New).gif. I figured that the (New) images could be renamed to the current file and those to (Old) after the update, like what was done for Fire Sword and Fire Sword (Old). Then I read a comment on Talk:Next Update#Sprite changes. Beejay 14:08, June 28, 2012 (UTC)

Hunting

hey hi i have a sorcerer level 24 and i want to get to level 40 fast is there a good hunting place or a creature i could try something a little more powerful than a bonelord and less powerful tha a wyvern (waste like 4 potions per 1)

thanks —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Gred07 (talkcontribs). Remember to sign your comments!

Hello there and sorry for the late reply. It helps to understand whether you are free account or have premium time, where you have been hunting until now, what kind of waste you have and if you can hunt in a team or not. Fast hunting usually comes at a price of wasting, true power gamers rarely loot the creatures as it slows them down. Also, for what my opinion is worth, things which I may be able to kill you might have trouble with so it all depends on the player you are.

Pressuming you have premium time, I would recommend you hunt southern Drefia, while not going to visit the Grim Reaper (-5) or 2x Vampire (-4). By killing that whole area you should gain some pretty decent experience. I hunted there from 20s+ killing the Bonelords and Ghouls to the north and then the Vampire and small areas around there, I also left the spawn and went around killing the Nomads, Stone Golem and Scorpions on the mountain to kill a bit of time while waiting for the area to respawn.

I think most people would recommend Cyclopolis which I did from 30s+ with a friend. Note, the map on the page is out of date as there are now Drones and Smiths (see here for a map where the creatures are located). You would get great experience there, unless of course the area is packed with people, especially hunting the lower levels however I wouldnt recommend the lower levels alone.

Now, if you are free account I would imagine Mount Sternum would be the best place to go or Dark Cathedral. I'm not very experienced with the free account areas as I almost never go there. Also something which might be interesting for you to look at, the page Hunting Places has a list of hunting areas around Tibia. Some with a rating list of good/bad experience/loot. Just click the arrows near the top and it will arrange them by the vocation's recommended level for that area.

Hope that helps you a bit and if you have any other questions or information feel free to ask and I will see what I can do! Beejay (talk) 16:32, August 22, 2012 (UTC)

What should I do with loot statistics with raid tokens in them,

Loot Statistics:Lancer Beetle Summary:

Summary: 578 kills added  looted 1 raid token no idea how to split

Bitter Soul (talk) 23:10, July 20, 2013 (UTC)

Hey Vio. Thanks for bringing this up! Was this a creature that was in a raid or from one which normally spawns? I believe these should only come from raid creatures. We don't have anything to separate raid and non-raid loot statistics such as those with the Pirate raids and item Very Old Piece of Paper. As these are a "rare" occurrence and the creature's loot has been affected in no other way, I don't see there being much of an issue with leaving the statistics, for now. The only thing that could really have any affect on accuracy would be if the creatures would have been empty if not for the token. Beejay (talk) 19:40, July 25, 2013 (UTC)

Regarding Yasir trouble

Ah, no I did not try to sell with the ability to sell to Esrik. I did not know there was a requirement for it, my bad. Would be good to have that information mirrored on Yasir's page though, as it can cause some confusion (Like it did for me).
