Unobtainable items are items that can not be obtained by using any methods in game. In addition to the items listed on this article, Contest Prizes and Rune Emblems (except Silver Explosion, Silver Great Fireball, Silver Heavy Magic Missile, Silver Sudden Death and Silver Ultimate Healing) are also unobtainable, they are only awarded by CipSoft in special occasions.
Some items were only available during the celebrations of Tibia's 15th and 20th Anniversaries (see Anniversary Unique Items).
Charged and Enchanted Weapons could be made until Summer Update 2017. They were later merged into their respective base weapons which had become imbuable.
With the Summer Update 2015, Weak Ammunition and Runes were planned to replace ammunition and runes bought from NPCs and looted from Creatures. Due to player feedback, CipSoft never really did such replacement, although the items were implemented to the game.
Furthermore, there are runes which were never seen in game listed in Unused Sprites.

Golden Helmet | Arguably the best Helmet in the game and also part of the Golden Set. This rare item was obtainable a long time ago from the Daemon until later a certain update that proved to carry the first HOTS which still exists today. It can be seen in Hellgate Treasure Chamber, Morguthis Room and Pythius The Rotten's Treasure Room. Nowadays because of the world transfer system more servers have this legendary helmet. CM Skerio wrote on November 21, 2021: "(...) items which cannot be gained in the game any longer and have to be acquired from other players, e.g. golden helmet (...)", which means that Golden Helmet isn't lootable neither from the boss monsters nor from the quests. | |
Horned Helmet | This helmet is owned by a few players on multiple servers ever since world transfers have been implemented. The helmet was a spawn that appeared at a map reset in the now Bright Sword Quest underneath the Outlaw Camp, in the old days. Map resets happened once every 4-6 months back then. The Horned Helmet to this day is a priceless item for collectors. Several others were obtained on other old servers, such as Antica, Premia, Secura, Isara, Lunara, and Amera. | |
Winged Helmet | Contrary to popular belief, this helmet has never granted speed, ultimate protection beyond its healthy defensive powers, or anything else.
This item is very rare, even though it was illegally duplicated a long time ago. There should be around 10 of these helmets existing, initially on Antica. It can be seen in Morguthis Room and Pythius The Rotten's Treasure Room. There is a rumour that there is a quest for the Winged Helmet at Hellgate, involving 469. | |
Ceremonial Mask | You can see it in treasure room in Ferumbras Tower and its data can be found on the Market. Bears a striking resemblance to the Full Helmet of the Ancients. The mask can show your blessings, just like Ceremonial Ankh. | |
Crown | A very rare item. There is only one documented crown obtained in Tibia, in Antica. This beautiful piece of jewelery has an interesting history. It first appeared when Knightmare (after broadcasting the giveaway) threw this item and a Crystal Wand as special rewards into the Thais temple in Antica in 2000. It was owned by a famous rare collector, Lightbringer, and later sold to an unknown player. Rumours in Antica say that it might be obtained through a quest involving King Tibianus. It can be seen in the treasure rooms in Kazordoon, Maze of Lost Souls, Hellgate, Omruc's pharaoh room in Ankrahmun aswell as in a tomb in the Isle of the Kings, in the room just south of Bunny Bonecrusher, Pits of Inferno reward room and inside Morguthis' Treasure Room. |

Witchhunter's Coat | It gives 2% death protection, but increases damage taken from holy by 2%. It is still unobtainable in game, it was just used in a test server. | |
Native Armor | It can be seen in the Pythius The Rotten's treasure room. Its data can be found in the Market. | |

Ornate Testtplate | This is believed to be an Unobtainable Item. It's name and looks are a play on Ornate Chestplate. |

Dragon Scale Legs | They were the legs with the highest defense rating in Tibia until the introduction of the Falcon Greaves. These are unobtainable and thus very rare. It is shown at Tibian Exhibitions. They can also be seen in the Kazordoon Treasure Room and the Beregar Treasure Room. Part of the Dragon Set. |

Patched Boots | They can be seen in the Amazon Camp Treasure Room. The name, weight and armor came up when trading to the NPC Rashid and can be seen in the Market and Cyclopedia. It's still unknown how to obtain this item. | |
Boots of Waterwalking | It looks the same as Soft Boots. Its data can be seen on the Market. According to Tibian manual, you can't walk on water fields. This suggests these boots are not meant to be obtained. They can be seen beneath the Serpentine Tower in Ankrahmun below the room with a Fire Elemental, a Vampire and a Behemoth. Be careful as the Fire Elemental below ground floor or the Green Djinn on the bottom floor can be let out. See a screenshot here. | |
Fish Tail (Equipped) | This is the equipped version of Fish Tail (Unequipped). Similarly to Depth Galea and Helmet of the Deep, the equipped Fish Tail might only exist when the character wearing it is underwater. This is believed to be an Unobtainable Item. | |
Fish Tail (Unequipped) | When you equip this item, it will become a Fish Tail (Equipped) which gives a speed boost of +300. This is believed to be an Unobtainable Item. |

Blessed Shield | This is arguably one of the best shields in Tibia. This shield has been gifted a few times by the gods to those they deem worthy.
The very first Blessed Shield in Tibia was a gift from the gods to Elleshar, who sold it to Muesli. Lightbringer was an owner of a Blessed Shield, however he sold it. This remarkable shield might not be obtainable in game ever, only as gift from the gods as previously shown. After a few years of doubts whether it still existed or not, the legendary shield reappeared on Antica. On June 15, 2022 the shield was sold via Market by Karr Chaos (Nathquata) to Rei de Lutabra for 12 billion gold coins. Rei transferred the shield to Lutabra in the following day. | |
Eagle Shield | You can see it in Morguthis Treasure Room. Its data can be found on the Market. | |
Shield of Honour | The Shield of Honour entered the game on January 7, 2002, as a gift for those who purchased a premium account of 7 months. This item was a special promotion for Tibia's 5th Anniversary and as a kick start to the introduction of premium accounts started only three months earlier. Due to its rarity, it has become a collector's item. 20 shields of honour were awarded on a Rhyme Contest during Tibia's 20th Anniversary celebrations. A shield of honour was awarded to Mytherin, in February 2017, for developing Tibialyzer. | |
Rose Shield | This shield can only be found on Antica and seen inside Morguthis' Treasure Room.
Only 6 of these beautiful shields were ever made, they are owned by members of the guild Red Rose. This was a gift from CipSoft to them, for being one of the oldest guilds of Tibia. | |
Broken Wooden Shield | This item is unobtainable. It was introduced in 10.55 with Dawnport, suggesting that it was intended to be given to aspiring Knights instead of the superior Wooden Shield they currently receive. The details of this item can be seen via the Market. |

Magic Longsword | It was for a very long time the strongest non-throwable weapon in Tibia, besides the Ice Rapier which has 60 attack but breaks in one hit. Over the years, however, stronger weapons with additional attributes such as skill boosts and elemental damage were implemented, topping off the Magic Longsword. Nevertheless, its value comes from its rarity and history above all.
Also known as the Cyclopmania Sword, Cyc Sword and Godslayer. This sword is not available from any monster or quest so far. The ingame legend is as follows: | |
Warlord Sword | It used to be considered one of the best swords of Tibia, arguably second best after Magic Longsword. Over the years, however, stronger weapons with additional attributes such as skill boosts and elemental damage were implemented, topping it off from the list. Nevertheless, it's one of the rarest items in the game. Only a few players were able to obtain this powerful sword. It can be seen below A Sweaty Cyclops in Ab'Dendriel and in Morguthis Room. If you talk to the sweaty cyclops and say warlord sword, he will ask for materials to make it. These materials, however, remain unknown. | |
The Epiphany | It replaced the Emerald Sword as the best one-handed sword and was later replaced by the Shiny Blade as the best one-handed Sword Weapon. Nowadays it's extremely valuable due to its rarity and only used as a decoration.
It can currently be seen in Demodras's cave during the special task covered by 2 Gold Ingots along with some other rares. Before Gamemasters were dismissed, CipSoft gave them a list of items to choose as a token of their appreciation and this is one of the items that were on this list. | |
Light Rapier | This is now an Unobtainable Item. It looks the same as a Rapier. | |
Wooden Sword | This used to be the first sword weapon a rookie sword-user would usually use, until it became a rare item. Looks the same as a Mean Knight Sword. It's obtained in The Rookie Guard Quest. | |
Test Weapon for Knights | This is believed to be an Unobtainable Item. |

Solar Axe | Can currently be seen in Pythius The Rotten's treasure room; the axe is being covered by a Red Gem.
Before Gamemasters were dismissed, CipSoft gave them a list of items to choose as a token of their appreciation and this is one of the items that were on this list. On August 6, 2010, GM Leen Leonhart created a thread that announced she chose a Solar Axe as reward and opened an auction. On August 4, 2010, GM Dragonas created a thread that he'd possibly be selling one which on August 6, 2010 he made official that he was auctioning one. You can view original Solar Axes auctions on these threads: Solar Axe auction! (for real) (held by GM Leen Leonhart), Solar Axe (held by GM Exilya), Solar Axe Auction (held by GM Dragonas, the thread held by Pytru (GM Havey), who would choose a Solar Axe, a Dark Trinity Mace or The Epiphany, here, or in thread made by GM Aestyn here. On August 11, 2021, GM Kosari announced their Solar Axe for sale on Luminera's Trade Board, where the axe was based at the time. | |
Daramian Axe | It seems to be the standard version of the Daramian Waraxe. This is believed to be an Unobtainable Item. |
Name | Notes | |
---|---|---|
Dark Trinity Mace | The name of the item is an allusion to the Church of Zathroth. The Dark Trinity (Archpriest and two Tribunes) is its highest commission. Therefore, you might expect this weapon to appear as loot from further powerful demon bosses yet to appear in game. It can currently be seen in Pythius The Rotten's treasure room; however, the mace is being covered by a Green Gem. | |
Lich Staff | You can see it in treasure room in Ferumbras Tower. Liches carry this staff but they do not drop these. This is believed to be an Unobtainable Item. | |
Enchanted Staff | Buy the Enchant Staff Spell from Eremo and cast it on a Staff. Not very useful, as it only lasts for 60 seconds. However, it can be used as an enchanted shield since its defense is the highest of all weapons. It's the best weapon of those without a level requirement. A knight at level 8 with skill 107 can kill other player at level 8 with one hit (185 PVP damage). | |
Light Mace | Apparently unobtainable. It was previously known as the Golden Mace. | |

Broken Amulet | This was the old Amulet of Life before the Update 7.2. It has no practical purpose and can be sold back to Eremo. But it is advised to not do this! Since it is a discontinued item and extremely valuable when sold to other players. Alternatively, due to its rarity it is an impressive item to own. Therefore, great for collectors. | |
Bronze Necklace | In former times it was a one time spawn at the Venore swamp. | |
Golden Scorpion Pendant | It is unknown how to obtain this item, therefore it is believed to be an Unobtainable Item. In case this item is obtainable, it might be related to the Unknown Secret Achievement which was implemented on the same update (Summer Update 2011). | |
Paw Amulet | This item can be seen in upper floor of Tibian Explorer Society in Port Hope, in Morguthis Room and on Island of Destiny in the druids area. It is most likely not yet obtainable in game. Probably just a decoration piece with no magical powers. It has what appears to be an ape's paw on it. Its data can be seen in the Market. | |
Rainbow Amulet | This item can be seen on the Cyclopedia. It was implemented at the same update that Rainbow Necklace had its stats changed and became obtainable. The stats of both amulets were identical during the first days of the test server. Moreover, the description of the rainbow amulet used to be "DO NOT USE". Someone might infer from this that this item was a duplicate of the Rainbow Necklace and, when the developers noticed it, they doomed it be an Unobtainable Item. | |
Silver Necklace | A very rare decoration that used to spawn in the bonelord cave below Wyda's Hut. It can be seen in the Bank in Venore, and also in the Draconian treasure room and Emperor Kruzak's Treasure Room in Kazordoon. |

They are also only items for which free players can place 'buy'-offers in the market and the only items to hold a Market category of their own.
After 3 years an account hasn't been used, all Tibia Coins on it are deleted. Several emails are sent beforehand to the account's email address warning inactive players about this procedure. A single login before the 3 years are over will prevent the deletion of the Tibia Coins. Note: Two asterisks (**) after a payment method name indicate that Tibia Coins bought with this service will only become transferable 6 months after their purchase. These methods include BoaCompra Gold, Boku (appears as Mobile Payment on the Webshop), Boleto Bancário and PagSeguro.
