Do you want to see a forum on TibiaWiki? A chat system?

Bennie enabled Special:Chat a while ago (click here for non-wikia skin users).

I think it's important that we have a community discussion center because currently we lack any standard (sometimes we discuss things on talk pages, other times on Talk:Administrator Team and sometimes on user talk pages). People do not typically monitor recent changes, and some opened discussions on talk pages get lost.

I think we need some forum-based system where users can ask questions, post suggestions, discuss the future of TibiaWiki or even have Tibia-related discussions. So I propose we install Extension:LiquidThreads (you can see it in action on mediawiki.org)

What do you think? Would you participate in discussions on a forum? -- Sixorish (talk) 21:22, July 13, 2012 (UTC)

It'd probably be read more than written on but its certainly worth it, so long as there is strong integration between the two.

Only advantage I see is if the extension gives a better organization, but we will have to "define" the extension as the standard place to go, just as we could define a single talk page without the extension.

Either way I believe have a specific place to talk about these things is positive.

Can we moderate inside the extension posts?

This would be a nice addition in my opinion. —Arkshi (Talk | contribs) 22:22, July 18, 2012 (UTC)

I sent a request for Wikia to install LiquidThreads and forwarded them to this discussion. If you have any comments/objections please say so they can properly assess the community's wishes.

Daniel: I checked and found this FAQ which basically says: yes admins can moderate (delete) threads, and users can edit others' posts just as they can do on talk pages now. -- Sixorish (talk) 11:41, July 26, 2012 (UTC)

Wikia responded saying they won't install due to bugs in the extension which disrupt the user experience, and referred me to this upcoming freature. It works on monobook (for now) and has a similar user interface. I guess we just need to wait. -- Sixorish (talk) 02:26, July 27, 2012 (UTC)

Chat meetings

I had the idea to meet with users on a certain time using the chat feature. We could discuss things more easily than talk pages. What do you think? —Arkshi (Talk | contribs) 01:21, August 5, 2012 (UTC)

One problem is that the discussions are lost and will be forgotten. -- Sixorish (talk) 16:50, August 6, 2012 (UTC)

Someone could use a recording device such as Hypercam to capture the discussions. There is probably a less complicated way, though.

On we could simply copy it and paste it somewhere. —Arkshi (Talk | contribs) 17:33, August 6, 2012 (UTC)

I wanted some compiled information and didn't find it anywhere. I tried learning the basics on creating a new page, but unfortunately my programming skills are too close to nothing to figure out how to merge those Infoboxes, DPL templates and so on. What I'm after is a table containing all items name, ID, price to sell, if is stackable and its weight.

Can someone help me?

Also, I couldn't find a better place to ask this, please forgive me beforehand if this is not appropriate.

As seen on a suggestion on other talk page, Wikia would indeed benefit from a forum.

(It is a cliche statement, but English is my second language, so please forgive any gramatical errors.)

Thank you
