This monster heals when receive Fire Damage. Every 100 fire damage heals 175 of his HP, including the damage dealt by the monsters of the boss room (Ember Beasts) and the fire cannons. It summons a Snail Slime after taking some damage, so it's better to attack it only when it's trapped in a corner with no spot to summon the slime (Summon range = 3 SQM around the boss).
Strategy
Trap him in a corner of the room with a player on every SQM at the range of 3 SQM of the boss. Don't attack the boss until he is fully trapped or he will Summon a Snail Slime that blows up and deals up to 2000 damage and heals the boss. Druids and sorcerers should avoid his beam because it reduces their magic level.
