How to open the portal?[]

Is it a random spawn? I'd like to hunt some of these, but I want to know if there's anything I can do, or I just have to sit on my thumbs until it opens. I know it was open on test, so maybe someone knows? —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Ryan Master at Arms (talkcontribs). Remember to sign your comments!

The portal is opened automatically. If you kill the Raging Mage the portal closes and you cannot enter. Beejay 18:08, July 7, 2011 (UTC)

Sure, but is the portal opening random like a raid? I logged back on right after server save and nothing.

Ok... Tibia.com, teaser, Jun 22 2011 - Decisions, Decisions.
The Mage's Tower
South-west of Zao Steppe, a vicious raging mage has created a dimensional portal on top of a tower in order to access the energy buzzing there. The wizard himself is keeping the dimensional rift open. So as long as he is alive you are able to enter Another Dimension where you will encounter yielothax, strange and tough creatures with rare loot. Also, you might come across the Uniwheel, a very specific mount.
Killing yielothax will also weaken the raging mage and if a certain number of them has been slain, the raging mage can be defeated and you can get your hands on his unique loot. However, the dimensional rift will break down soon after killing the mage and players will have to leave the dimension until the raging mage will return and restore the portal. Yeah, that just tells me that when the mage is killed, the portal will close. What I want to know is during a time when the portal has not been opened, and the mage has not been appeared, is if there is anything that can be done to trigger them. I had logged on right after ss and the tower was completely empty, so I'm not entirely sure it's a once per day always event. Ryan Master at Arms 01:31, July 8, 2011 (UTC)

Like I said, the portal opens automatically. Who knows how long it takes for the Raging Mage to return and restore the portal. Could be an hour, a week, a month! Three days is not enough to find out this information, test server was different due to lack of testing time so it was made quicker inorder to find out bugs with the world change and has nothing to do with time adjustments for the portal opening. Hope that helps! Beejay 01:38, July 8, 2011 (UTC)
