Is it really a good idea to add loot to the existing monsters already? This loot is only available on test servers and not on the real servers. It might change before the test server is over as well.

Yeah that's true, but I think the Water Elemental is an exception because it has no loot right now. In general we should wait adding new content to existing articles and adding a futureupdate template on new articles. ^^ Bennie (talk ~ fellows) ^^ 16:39, 20 June 2009 (UTC)

Water Elementals drop neither Leviathan Amulet or Goldfish Bowls with fish.

My friend looted Leviathan amulet from water anyways I remember that in the test they mention something about removing goldfish bowls, I think we should take it out of the list. Juan Ariel 18:46, January 28, 2010 (UTC)

Water Elementals have start to drop glob of acid slime at the new update (8.58) the edit is blocked so cant update it myself :P Niklas961010 20:13, June 30, 2010 (UTC)

The looting system has been completly changed, you can now open the bodies. I killed about 200 and looted NO rusty items whatsoever. The loot from the body included gp up to 90 gp +- Life rings, Rainbow trout, Green Perch, Strong mana potion, strong health potion, small sapphire, small diamond, small emerald, fish. You can also still "Fish" The bodies, didnt get any rusty pieces from doing this as well, but i did manage to get 1 Giant shimmering pearl, about 5 Pearls and a few small sapphires/emeralds

I dunno what the process is of changing it so yea... Blindsided7 20:12, August 24, 2010 (UTC)

Somebody Update loot plx[]

Since update 8.61, WEs don't drop Giant Shimmering Pearls by a normal way any more (only by fishing corpse), so somebody edit it plx (it says im not able to edit this page somewhy :/)

Deimossek 10:21, September 6, 2010 (UTC)

The article already informs this:
NOTE: It is only possible to get the Giant Shimmering Pearl, White Pearl, Small Sapphire, Leviathan's Amulet, Small Emerald and possibly more by using a Fishing Rod on the Water Elemental Corpse.
There aren't two loot lists ("normal way" and "by fishing corpse"), but only one list.

In this case, why isnt there leviathan's amulet included in the loot list?

I'd like to see in the article the same that's in the massive water elemental's one.

That the damage is up to 560 hp without Helmet of the deep and around 330 while wearing the Helmet, thanks.

I've just died because of this.

Physical Resistance[]

I have reason to believe that their physical resistance is not 50%, due to doing a hit of 188 on one (19:24 A water elemental loses 188 hitpoints due to your attack.), when the max damage I can do (according to the melee damage formula) is 342. Therefore, 188 would translate into 376 if there is 50% resistance, which is incorrect. So, the physical resistance should be changed to -45% as that would be the correct value (342*0.55 = 188.1).

Note: this was performed with no skill rings or other such damage-increasing items, on a lvl 92 Knight with 81 axe fighting, wielding a Royal Axe (Atk:47). Leva Marita 19:19, August 26, 2011 (UTC)

  1. I don't think our melee formula is accurate, it may still use the old formula before it was adjusted a long time ago (not sure),
  2. Creature armor is also a factor, I doubt WEs have 0-2 armor.

I'm not sure exactly how physical resistances are tested, because I think all forms of physical damage factor in armor as well as resistances and that makes things a lot more difficult (maybe you should ask User:Nevaran as he contributed a lot of that data). -- Sixorish 19:52, August 26, 2011 (UTC)

I haven't tested any physical damages because of the problems of "how much does armor block" and "does shielding reduce damage or not". I don't remember who tested all of the armor formulas, but I guess he would know better. I can go kill a water elemental with physical strike and see how much it differs from my normal strike damages though. Edit: A quick test shows I could do 104-163 with physical strike and 163 is 65% of my max (250x0.65=162.5), and 104 is 60% of my min (174x0.6=104.4). So my guess is that they are 35% strong to physical and have some kind of armor that can take away a bit more damage.

Loot[]

You can also obtain small emeralds from fishing their corpses.
