I'm curious if someone has looted them recently. Since 2 updates ago, I killed more than 1000 warlocks and got none. I think cip made it drop on other creatures, like black knight and massive energy elemental, and removed it from warlock's loot. Energy and fire hits doing physical damage

The strategy is totally fucked up, a knight on full defense to block energy? and the last two sentences say exactly the same thing

i know how to edit but i didnt really know how to say it and i dont have any experience killing warlocks so i just made some suggestions -foggy-

Your talking nonsence..
The "energy atatcks" that are stated are explained to do physical damage in the abilities section, and physccal damage is lowered if you use full defence as far as I know
--Fenrir 06:26, 10 July 2007 (PDT)

thats not my understanding, you can not block an atack like this with your shield, it is only filtered by your armor.

Agree, only armor blocks the attack since the attack is calculated as magic it skip the shield then the damage is done and because is physical the armor reduses it.
--Kwigon the sharpshooter 16:40, 21 July 2009 (UTC)

Its just my assumptions.. since melee attacks are reduced by shield and so other physical attacks should be too, havent been testing that too much, really
--Fenrir 10:47, 10 July 2007 (PDT)

After some testing, I've come to this conclution:
The physical attacks are being reduced a little with a shield, though your armor reduces more than than your shield (None reduces alot). Anyway, full defence won't make any difference on the damage (This can be seen when the mages (on full def) stand in the same wave as a knight with full atk, damage is the same)

Might not be correct, only tested this on 2 warlocks, and they spam so it's hard to get the actual damage.
--Arandel 12:44, 10 July 2007 (PDT)

Stop arguing, go and try it out using a SSA, if the damage get reduced and the amulet get used its physical damage, other way its energy. And btw i'd bet its energy. Etorix

They use melee?

I've just seen a cam of a knight soloing warlocks, but I didn't see a single melee hit. Are you certain they do melee? (I never hunted them so I can't be sure)

That's probably because that knight got so high shielding that the melee hits didn't go through. Or didn't you even see poofs/sparks?

- Pie

All monsters uses melee with exeption of monsters that give no exp, just now in update 8.5 wisp are the first monster that attacks and does not have melee. So yea 99.99% of the monsters have melee, just get naked with no shield and corner the warlord and see it for yourself.

Poison and Warlocks

could be a good tip the usage of a poisonbomb to make them visibles? (only pvp of course) Cholo 18:41, 9 July 2009 (UTC)

Yes is good to use poison fields or poison bombs on them (cheaper than explosion or area runes) every time they lose hp by poison they go visible.
--Kwigon the sharpshooter 18:00, 20 July 2009 (UTC)

poison damage for warlock is 5%, if someone with access can edit, tx. --Daniel Letalis 17:51, 20 July 2009 (UTC)

Maybe the guy means they are strong to poison 95% and not 90%?
--Kwigon the sharpshooter 22:27, 20 July 2009 (UTC)

If they are, as Daniel Letalis say, earth damage 5% (-95%) then they won't get hurt by poison fields. 5% of 5 is 0.25 which will be rounded down and it won't get the warlock visible. They must be at least at 10% (-90%) to be damaged by poison fields.
Nevaran 19:22, 20 July 2009 (UTC)

If a monster is 50% strong to poison, a field would do 3 damage, a monster has to be like 95% strong so a poison field do nothing to it. I know warlocks can be poisoned I have done it before, just don't rember how much they get hit.
--Kwigon the sharpshooter 19:42, 20 July 2009 (UTC)

Yeah, and also if they are -45% (2.75), -40% (3) and -35% (3.25) will they get hit 3. If they get hit 1 they are -90% (0.5), -85% (0.75), -80% (1) and -75% (1.25). If I have time later I could go to a single warlock spawn and check since I know how much I can hit with strikespells at the different resistances. However I'm pretty sure it has been tested to -90% before so I bet you're right about the poison fields and Daniel Letalis is wrong about the 5%.
Nevaran 20:13, 20 July 2009 (UTC)

I just tested and they are -95%. I tested with poison bomb too (it was the only poison rune I had on me) and after getting hit the wl only sparked when getting hit. Didn't check if that made it visible, because it wasn't invisible when I tested the rune.
Nevaran 22:59, 20 July 2009 (UTC)

Is better to use stone shower, I always make mistakes using field rune because the damage is so low and that it gets rounded and is hard to figure out the exact %
--Kwigon the sharpshooter 00:02, 21 July 2009 (UTC)

95% strong to poison proof

The only damage that can be calculated on this picture is 5% for warlock.

http://en.tibiaml.com/image/18589/warlock_5_poison_damage_test/

for those who say it's 10% because of poison on floor hits them, protection items protect you at least 1 hitpoint, and the same the poison hits at least 1 hit point even if the monster is 99% strong against it. --Daniel Letalis 06:10, 21 July 2009 (UTC)

I was the one saying it was 10%. However I also made another post right after saying I was wrong and that after testing it I found that it was in fact 5% and that poison fields doesn't hurt warlocks anymore. So it was probably 10% in the past, but 5% now. No, it always rounds the damage and if it's less than 0.5 damage it rounds down to 0. In those cases you (or the monster) will get a spark hit and not get any damage.
Nevaran 11:45, 21 July 2009 (UTC)

Sorry, I didn't read all, good to know damage is rounded, I'll fix my damage weakness calculator.

--Daniel Letalis 11:51, 21 July 2009 (UTC)

All you have to do to be 100% sure is too use stoneshower rune on warlock and dragon (or a monster that is not immune to earth) to find the exact % value

General Talking

That was weird that nobody ever added the fact that they can mana drain. My highest drain was 72 but I just estimated 75, if they can hit higher feel free to fix it. -Rhad

Skill Reducing Attack

I got 88 axe and 88 shielding on my knight now, and while fighting warlocks, my friend eminded me about this ability, so I opened skills and saw that both skills were reduced to 44, later to 34 and then 36. It lasts around 5 seconds, but once warlock casted it once after another so skills changed from 34 to 36. I will investigate it deeper if I dont forget.

Btw, yalahar warlocks spawn (through energy wall) is insane :D
