Test Server

The announced test server for 4 November has nothing to do with the christmas update. It is an performance test, which means they are gonna test technical things. Probably (my own thought) they will test if they can higher the player maximum currently set on 950 to a higher value, so more players can play at the same time. So basicly they will make a test server, put the maximum to 1500 or something, and look at their servers if smoke is coming out. ^^ Bennie (talk ~ fellows) ^^ 06:57, 4 November 2008 (UTC)

Or they're testing new hardware etc.
Nonetheless, since the teasers should start soon, should we keep the page here? -- Sixorish 07:56, 4 November 2008 (UTC)

I've added the {{controversial}}, and another messagebox. This way the page doesn't have to be deleted (again?). Not sure what to do, maybe protect the page for the time being, as this test server is probably not part of the update. A possibility could be CIP wants to test new features with alot of players online, but I personally think that's a bit early. So I'm guessing new hardware, or improved coding. We'll find out later today, perhaps.

I've edited the Update main page as there wasn't the 8.31 patch and removed 8.4, I think there is no need to put it on there as it could be another version such as 8.32. I suggest to delete this page.

The page is deleted. We don't want other pages, such as Updates/8.5, Updates/8.6, Updates/8.7 etc for now.
When the teasers to the Update 8.4 start, the page Updates/8.4 must be recreated.

There is a new teaser, and it looks really good. New city, items, quests, creatures etc. Even a new outfit, I think!

UnitRico 14:27, 7 November 2008 (UTC)

Yeah, it seems interesting. From the cemetery quarter picture, I gather there may be a make-over for Crypt Shamblers, too.

Vhazhiphor 02:42, 9 November 2008 (UTC)

I actually think (and hope) these monsters aren't Crypt Shamblers. Their arms and legs are in the same position from what I can see now, and their heads are the same as the Banshee. Still, I think they're actually pretty ugly.

And I think soon the Test Server will be on, with Yalahar, and I'll be sure to check it out!

UnitRico 17:48, 9 November 2008 (UTC)

An individual page had been made for each section of Yalahar. If these sections are large and could be considered a hunting ground then this is fine, but if there is not a lot of content then these pages should all be merged into Yalahar later on. --DM ><((°> Contribs <°))>< talk to me 19:06, 9 November 2008 (UTC)

Well, if you note in the first update picture, you'll be able to check about a new monster, or probably a new Crypt Shambler sprite. I'm waiting for forth teaser, probably the monsters one. I think about a couple of new Rats/Undeads/|Underwaters monsters. And you could say about new buildings as new items too.

Some information.

Ill wait until the "major edit" ticker is taken away, unless someone is going to add this information in the meantime.

Rashid: For this reason, we have convinced Rashid to enlarge his warehouse and to take on more of your goods. After this update, he will buy many further things from you, for example, all elemental armor sets, platinum amulets and several mid- to high-level weapons among several other things. To keep up with Rashid, also a couple of other traders have broadened their purchase of goods.

Changes in monsters: The experience points that you receive from hunting the monsters of the Pits of Inferno, like the hands of cursed fate, the undead dragons, the lost souls, the betrayed wraiths and the juggernauts, for instance, have been raised immensely. Other monsters that were adjusted according to your feedback are hydras, cyclopes, the sea serpent and the young sea serpent, for example.

Earth Elementals: decided to move on and to retreat to their own dungeons. (in Tiquanda)

Bog Raiders: Our analysis of hunting grounds has also shown that the bog raider, for example, was too weak. He did not seem to be any challenge for you at all. So in order to be able to defend himself better, he has been given some extensive training to make his muscles grow.

Dryads and Undead Jesters: the dryads that are roaming several forests in June have collected many more seeds during their journeys, so you will be able to grow a larger variety of flowers, if you manage to steal some from them.

Rumour has it that they are not that keen on fish anymore. They still like it, but they have more room now in their pockets for other things. If you come across any jesters again, you might want to take the time to deal with as many of them as possible. You might be surprised by what they carry with them, and they might even provide you with items that will enable you to create something to remember them by. Beejay 15:03, 28 November 2008 (UTC)

This is really weird, the tibia.com website is off for me (although it says something about maintanance), so I had to read the teaser on tibiaml.com I will put the info listed above into the article. ^^ Bennie (talk ~ fellows) ^^ 15:09, 28 November 2008 (UTC)

Yeah it just went off as I copied this info. Ill edit the page after things "calm down". And check to see if I can find more information to be put on here, I probably missed something. Beejay 15:26, 28 November 2008 (UTC)

Beejay, thank you for respect my Inuse Template. When I am editing this page I never read the talk page, I read the official update teaser.
Bennie, do not edit pages with Inuse Template though someone gave information about thet page on its talk page.

I'm sorry, I replied on my talk page. ^^ Bennie (talk ~ fellows) ^^ 15:49, 28 November 2008 (UTC)

Look on the pictures of the house, either the day or night one or both. Behind the player with the outfit next to the green tapestry you can see a new kind of enchanted gem that is golden, maybe they are topaz? It could be something that paladins enchant to make weapons cause holy damage. :) Beejay 17:02, 28 November 2008 (UTC)

Addons

I think the addons for the new yalahar outfits are way too different to be the 1st and 2nd addons. Do you think it could be like the Dreamers challenge quest but with the same outfit at start? It could be that once you get the outfit you choose either a "good" or "bad" side and get the addons corresponding to this. Either way, the pictures of the addons look like complete outfits as they are. Beejay 18:34, 28 November 2008 (UTC)

I totally agree with Beejay, you can notice a lot of stuffs that prove there is a "good" and a "bad" side, even told to several friends and they thought the same, imho there the addon 1 is the robe and staff, and addon 2 is the book/claw, anyway those are just my opinions, we have to w8 until the update ;) Keriraw 12:36, 29 November 2008 (UTC)

Amulets

On the Unused_Sprites page there "are" the magma and lightning amulets. Beejay 14:39, 3 December 2008 (UTC)

I've uploaded them under more suitable names and created their pages, though I haven't checked the info. I copied the contents of a different amulet, so some things may be slightly inaccurate. When the items are discovered in-game the unused sprite can be removed (but I'd suggest keeping it there for now, in case the item doesn't live through TS) -- Sixorish 15:17, 3 December 2008 (UTC)

New Sprites for old monsters ?

You already started a New Sprites section, listing some items only (omg ugly Noble armor -.- ). From what I caught on forums/fansites, there must also be new sprites for some old monsters (like wolves - but might be someone saw a werewolf and mistook it for a regular wolf? do these look similar? But then again the name above the monster should be clear enough to avoid any misunderstanding here...). I also read that there must be a new sprite for Steel Boots...? Would be nice if someone of you could check on this on the Testserver and also add it here.  :-) Thanks for the great and fast work so far!

Barathorn 08:43, 5 December 2008 (UTC)

There certainly are new sprites for wolves and slimes. Also steel boots are changed. Yesterday I was only busy with questing and exploring :P Today I will add more content for the wiki, don't worry. ^^ Bennie (talk ~ fellows) ^^ 11:36, 5 December 2008 (UTC)

Hmm, I've got a problem.
I'm trying to add monster animations, but when i upload my gif, it doesn't move...
Am i doing sth wrong, or it's a bug?

Sigma

Added new HotM Sprite through to the Cleaver.
If someone knows how to animate images can you please add the new salmon and golden boots sprites.
Yuki Zou 13:04, 7 December 2008 (UTC)

doublet has changed too, also theres animated sprites needed for glob of tar/acid/mercury foggy 13:47, 7 December 2008 (UTC)

@Sigma, you are probably doing something wrong. I checked some of your uploaded pictures and they were all with just 1 layer.
@Yuki, I will try to get hold of them and animate them :)
Although, personally I'm busy with NPCs and Objects, while Hunter will do Items and Creatures. ^^ Bennie (talk ~ fellows) ^^ 19:32, 7 December 2008 (UTC)

Here is the Un-animated Sprites:
Golden Boots Unanimated Golden Boots (New)
