TibiaWiki
TibiaWiki

Since I am pretty sure there will be controvercy about whether or not this page should exist I will open this talk page myself, explaining some reasons for making this:

1. Assuming a new item is found, people can simply look the sprite up and immediattely add the image, without having to make a new image (Which often turns out to be bad quality) themselves.

2. Most of these sprites re unknown, and making them known could result in people finding them, which helps in completing this tibiawiki. For example the Second and Third sprite seem to be lootable from one of the new monsters.

I removed that spellbook but I won't create a new page for it, because it has the same name as the existing spellbook. That book can be seen on 1 floor below the Green Djinn Tower.

About Broteherhood of Bones shield, Nightmare Knights Shield, shouldn't they be in the list since there is no other entry in the TIBIWIKI? so when someone gets it they just need to come here and find the link? ~Fowk

I believe the "new rope" is just the same rope at a different angle. Cip has before made the same image slightly off to see which is better; and at least in my opinion Rope does look better than Image:ID_6391.gif

"Big Fish" sprite[]

This is just a comment, I'm not suggesting to remove the sprite from here yet. I think that sprite is going to be used in the next update... Look at the Tibia.pl's image in Svargrond article, "Discover new sorts of fish"
Maybe...Because that sprite have been in the client since 7.5 or 7.4.

About some of these sprites[]

I haven't seen this for myself, but after a close inspection of the Pharaoh pictures on Pskonejott's site, you can see some of these items in Morguthis's room. On the south side of the room on the table, you can make out the eagle shield and the dwarven legs (below the boh and mind stone).

And a little something I found interesting. South of the platinum amulet you can make out a war axe and a tempest shield. However, by looking at the sprite for the skull staff, the war axe was sitting in that treasure room way before it became monster loot. -- Skee

Along with that rune there's about 10-12 other unused runes. -Ragone

noone stops you from adding them -Foggy-

i counted them myself and there are actually 29 unused runes, i will add them later if someone tells me how to make a transparant background<Foggy>

To make a transparent background, you need to use a program like Gimp or Paint.Net (almost anything more advanced than MS Paint).

Amulet[]

The amulet under the 'eagle shield' is a Sapphire Amulet, you can see one in the treasury of the Deeper Catacombs in Darashia.

Deraken~

items in game[]

the eagle shield and dwarven legs can be seen in some pharaoh room but there are items on top of it so you cant look on them (I think hes called Morguthis or something)

I made a nice Screenshot of that pharaoh room 4 screenshots and used paint to cut paste and remove all people in it till you can only see the items. Its alittle big so I will see if I can make it smaller. Eddit: Well it looks better in full size and in .bmp - I just ask, whas arcane staff, war axe, and other items in that room before cip introdusce them to the game? I mean if the legs and the eagle shield are there, they probably already have a set def and armor and name for them.

If something can be seen in game but we don't know what's item name then can we remove it from list?
Leree 18:58, October 21, 2010 (UTC)

That's a good question, because if it is used in-game, it doesn't exactly fall under unused sprites. But I don't see a problem with keeping them here because as is already wrote on this page, Alternatively, this page serves as a list of items that might be obtained ingame, and which might be interesting to look for. Beejay 23:43, October 21, 2010 (UTC)

i think these two items should be deleted, because:
Haswer is combination of small rope+common rope(few items in tibia got more than one sprite in one item too)
And if this rune can be seen in Treasure Rooms#Draconia... Why it's called unused?

Sprite Description
Small Rope Looks like a small Rope. Possibly a Hawser without the regular rope underneath.
1319 Looks like a rune. This rune can be seen on Draconia Treasure Room under a Gold Ring.

Leree 12:54, October 22, 2010 (UTC)

The Hawser was pointed out by me almost a year ago (look further down on this page), but nothing has been done about it yet.

Author Information?[]

As a long-time graphics artist, I've spent a lot of time on the WoT forums and seen a few of these items actually posted on the graphics forums there. My question is, is it appropriate to add information as to what the author intended the item as? For instance, the one that looks like the war axe was described by it's artist (Óin) as "A Dragon Axe thingy, with the dragon sitting with its wings in a nifty orc-slaying position."

edit: I'm going to go ahead and add that info; if you object, post here...

Shenlong Sword[]

The image even says Shenlong_sword.gif, should this be removed? Does anyone object if I do so?

The two couches have been in the sprite file for a long, long time. I know they've been around at least since the December 2004 Christmas update, possibly before that. I think they were actually removed at one point and then re-added later since they haven't been added here before August. They're probably not going to be used for some time at this rate.

Image Names[]

I question the legitimacy of the elven sword: Image:Elven_Sword.gif. If it is an unused sprite then it shouldn't have a name; it should have its designated ID number. That way it is easy to look up.

Here are the sprites that have this issue:

  • Guido Doll
  • Small Rope
  • Image:Amulet81002.gif
  • Image:Amulet81003.gif
  • Image:Shenlong_Sword.gif
  • Image:Unused_Sword_01.gif
  • Unused Club 01
  • Image:Unused_Club_02.gif
  • Image:Unused_Club_03.gif
  • Image:Unused_Club_04.gif
  • Image:Unused_Club_05.gif
  • Image:Unused_Axe_01.gif
  • Image:Unused_Axe_02.gif
  • Image:Unused_Axe_03.gif
  • Image:Unused_Axe_04.gif
  • Vampire Doll
  • Image:New_Armor_12.gif
  • Image:New_Armor_13.gif
  • Image:New_Armor_14.gif
  • Image:New_Armor_26.gif
  • Image:New_Weapon_12.gif
  • Demonwing Axe
  • Image:New_Weapon_11.gif
  • Image:Elven_Sword.gif

If anyone knows what sprites these are, they should upload them with the correct name.

I think your "designated ID number" is created by the software that extracts the images from the Tibia.spr file. Then, this is not the true ID. Don't waste your time reuploading these images. I can search the elven sword among the true IDs.

<·> Hunter of Dragoes <·> My Talk <·> My Contributions <·> 20:12, 31 August 2008 (UTC)

You just said you can't know the true ID with the extract software. So how do you gonna find the "true ID" of the elven sword?

^^  º Bennie º  ¤ Talk ¤  º Admins º  ^^ 20:25, 31 August 2008 (UTC)

Either way, since these objects do not exist in game (or at least cannot be viewed), they should not receive names like Vampire Doll or File:Elven Sword.gif, as these are entirely guesswork. With those speculative names, it makes one ponder their validity. Even though ID numbering systems differ between extractors, they should still be used. If another image currently holds the name: number.gif, then the name may be made distinct by adding some extra characters to it ('ID_' could be appended to the front, or '_2' to the end). I, for one, have never seen the 'Elven Sword' in the sprites before. I also don't suggest that anyone attempt to find these images. I only hope that if they simply happen upon them (when going through the sprites), that they reupload them without these made-up names. If there is one thing these images don't have, it's an actual name.

~Sokwe 05:44, 1 September 2008 (UTC)

Where do you get these sprites from? Is there a sprite reader or something?
Bombur Thumper 14:51, 5 September 2008 (UTC)

  • Image:4907.gif
  • Image:4908.gif
  • 6125
  • 6126
  • 6127

First two look like a bowl, and before the first sprite is the sprite of a Bowl (Pirate).

--Temahk (TalkContribs) 12:44, 25 September 2008 (UTC)

Bombur: There's a sprite editor tool, most people use them to make items for OTs or editing the tibia.spr file to change the sprites (both of which, I believe are illegal in Tibia). By 'unwrapping', so to speak, the spr file, you can find the sprites of each and every item in Tibia, and a couple others not yet within the game (like the ones here). Vhazhiphor 23:50, 17 October 2008 (UTC)

Since the Demonwing Axe and the Onyx Flail are now confirmed as rare drops from the Inquisition bosses, I suppose some of the other weapons are drops too?

SD: Sudden Death, the image you think is SD: ID 3150.
Thunderstorm: Thunderstorm, the image you think is Thunderstorm: ID 3201.

Guido Doll
GUIDO DOLL
This sprite should be named "Guido doll" not a "Custom doll". It was named "Guido" in TibiaNews shortnews in a day of CipSoft's anniversary update. It was removed from shortnews after an hour or two just after turning servers on (maybe due to a CipSoft member intervention). However, TibiaNews has never shown this image. They only said about "Guido doll", and it was the only new doll sprite added in this update (remember that this "shortnews" has been published BEFORE servers were turned on and new client version was downloadable, so nobody could see this sprite before, nobody could know about any new doll added [it was surprise, right?], just a CipSoft member). There was an information (+/-) "You can get many anniversary items like (fireworks, party hat) or even a rare Guido Doll!"~ (NOTE: Nobody has written there, that it is lootable from a surprice bag! Surprise bags wasnt an only source of anniversary items anyway.)
The other proof that it's called "Guido" is that it's quite similar to original Guido Lübke :o)
