Well, I like your idea, plus, I'd prefer the image of every rune to be on the first column, then the name on the second column.

I added the number of soulpoints to the list template. It was becoming difficult to know what column was what value, so I also added some tags to make it clearer.

About moving the images to the first column... I played around with it a little bit, but I thought it was harder to read and made the list look bad. Having the rune names first seems to be the best.

The DPL extension was updated, and apparently I was exploiting an unintentional weakness in the old version.

The difficult part was to figure out how to keep the functionality of the manual lists as well as support the DPL features. I have fixed the templates, but we need to update every single item/creature/etc page with a minor change.

I'm working on it, but any help would be appreciated. The faster we can get these updated, then the sooner the lists will be complete and accurate again.

  1. Great Fireball

Great fireball is being included but just won't show, I have no idea why.. I was considering breaking attack runes into field (already done to fix Field Runes page), direct-hit (i don't know how better to put it, like HMM) and area spells (GFB etc.)..

Edit:I made an edit on Fireball, it had an unnecessary noinclude tag, which may have been the problem with GFB (doubtful but it seems to have worked afterward) the DPL lists apparently fetch the category info when edited, so i re-edited for it to fix.

Naming[]

Bugged[]

This page is bugged for me, the images on the runes pages are showing up in the comment (here). You can see the noinclude tags, is this a bug on every page, or on the Runes page, is it only with me (or only FF 3)? ^^ Bennie (talk ~ fellows) ^^ 09:18, 22 November 2008 (UTC)


Not a browser problem, rather a problem with the wiki software. I have no idea whats causing it, though. (So yes, I see it too).

Kirkburn is part of Wikia staff, they don't distribute the wiki software so the only thing they could do is forward the bug report to the right people. A quick fix to this situation would be to add parameter support for animation display (which I guess I'll do..) -- Sixorish 10:45, 22 November 2008 (UTC)

Well, it's something I've not come across lately, but it might've been because of the new preprocessor upgrade. the issue isn't really the noinclude tags as far as I know, the DPL "ignores" them and literally displays them as text, as well as it's contents. -- Sixorish 10:57, 24 November 2008 (UTC)

Create a better/more complete guide to create a rune and assign a rune to a hotkey[]

I think it would be useful for new players to have a more complete and comprehensive manual for creating a rune and also for assgning a rune to a hotkey. What do you think about it?

Changes in Runes: Summer Update 2010[]

See Thread #3045532.

  1. Runes will no longer have charges, but will be "stacks". So a rune with 2 charges before, is now considered to be two runes stacked. You can stack up to 100 runes together (like Gold Coins).
  2. When you make a rune it will still have the same number of uses as before (i.e. 1,2,3,4,5,6,10). For each different kind of rune, whatever the charge was when made before, that number of stacked runes will weigh 2.1oz. So a rune with 1 charge now weighs 2.1oz. Runes that had 2 charges will become 2 stacked runes, weighing 2.1oz, but 1 rune of that kind will weigh half of 2.1, or 1.05oz. And so on.
  3. The below table shows the new weights for runes. The up-and-down columns are the previous charges of 1-6, 10. The left-to-right rows are the new weights for stacks of 1-10, 50, and 100.

Runes that presently are "overcharges", that have more charges than the number when they are created (i.e. any x99, Sudden Deathx6, etc.), will be turned into some special "keepsake" item. Runes with 50 or less charges will be smaller "keepsakes", and more than 50 will become bigger "keepsakes". This will only happen to existing overcharged runes, not the runes that you can stack after the update.
More details are expected later concerning overcharged runes.

Rune symbols and Zodiac[]

Most used and unused in game runes were designed by religious and zodiac symbols[1](eg. Aries The Ram has got Avalanche (Rune) symbol).
Is it written somewhere in wikia?

This page is about the items classified as runes. What you mentioned are properties related to rune spells. A rune spells list can be see here. I've just added a link to such list on this article, so visitors who are actually interested on the spells, just like you, might find it easier. By the way, I have added columns for Soul Points and Amount to the ‎Rune Spells list. Columns for Price and Mana were already available there. Do you think a mana/soul ratio column would be useful? What about amount of runes/soul ratio?
