I was wondering if it would be reasonable to have a list with each permanent stage of Roshamuul that is opened for each world. These permanent stages (spanning the bridge, breaching the wall, etc.) are the first of their kind that i am aware of and i assume it may take some worlds a good bit of time to do so. I cannot speak for most worlds but people on the test forum suggested that it may years for some worlds which have fewer few high levels. Perhaps waiting another month or two would be informative.
If this seems reasonable to others, as well if it is easy to verify per world, it could be done with a separate template or perhaps even as a parameter to Infobox_World. Either way it could be referenced on world pages and at least on Roshamuul pages. --DM ><((°> Contribs <°))>< talk to me 04:18, December 16, 2013 (UTC)

It's easy to verify: check kill statistics for guzzlemaw (bridge repaired), choking fear (wall destroyed) -- Sixorish (talk) 04:42, December 16, 2013 (UTC)

Does anyone know how many stages there are? I know there are 3 at least (initial, build bridge, destroy wall) but I'm hearing talk about the city being off-limits as well as the central mountain...? -- Sixorish (talk) 03:10, December 18, 2013 (UTC)

I know Gaz'haragoth is initially on the central mountain. He has to be killed which opens a stage: at this point he now just spawns in prison and at least Eruaran appears. KM posted about this. I am not sure if other depot NPCs also showed up after his first death but he was gone from mountain when they were at depot. Also i did not notice when Sights of Surrender stairs appeared and later disappeared. --DM ><((°> Contribs <°))>< talk to me 04:04, December 18, 2013 (UTC)

Roshamuul FAQ[]

From http://forum.tibia.com/forum/?action=thread&threadid=4372168&postid=37019044#post37019044:

Hello,

for those who are interested. Here are the eight Roshamuul questions and answers:

Dev Q&A About Roshamuul:

1.

Q: Where did the idea for the name Roshamuul come from? Why a city made of dreams?

A: The idea about dreams, nightmares and a civilisation centred on this as a general theme had been around for a while. With Roshamuul we had the chance and space to expand on it. The power of dreams is a concept that dates back to some of the oldest stories for Tibia, and to revisit this sometime was always something that we wanted to do and that players asked for. For the name we were looking for something with a dark and brooding ring to it. After playing around with words and syllables we came up with "Roshamuul".

2.

Q: What is the connection between Roshamuul and Variphor?

A: If you look around closely, you will find your answers... at least some of them. The connection is important and a vital part of Tibian lore, so it might be worth some effort. Exploring this topic is a quest on its own, and the theories and facts that evolve from the bits of information you can gather are too much of an accomplishment to spoil them here. It certainly helps to gather as many clues as you can, to better be prepared for the things to come and to be revealed.

3.

Q: Is there a specific use for the ring of ending? It remains a mystery as to what the true purpose of the ring is! What is it?

A: The ring of ending certainly has its use as it has its very own story. The ring itself may not look overly powerful; it is a small device which reacts to certain external influences. However, it is a magic ring and while you never know what truly hides behind the power of such rings, this one certainly has something far more sinister behind it. All I can say right now is that its tale is not yet finished and if you were lucky to actually get one, you should take a quick look over your shoulder now and then... just in case.

4.

Q: What happened to the Captain Marv? What powers he acquired when he forged the ring of ending?

A: The First Mate described his own downfall and that of his captain in the letters he wrote, you can make a lot more of it if you think about it from a certain perspective. The real question, however, is: what happens to the people who now learned of his story? Who tried to make rings like this whole and actively disregarded the First Mate's warnings? Something happened to Marv and this ring was involved. Do you really think he just put it on and started to bring down mayhem on his crew without any reason?

5.

Q: Is there a hidden use for essences of dread/wishful thinking?

A: Who knows! Until now, Morax is the only one to openly use the essences. But even his inquisitor colleagues would concede that his methods are a little questionable, so it is conceivable that other, more sinister forces might employ the essences too, either now or in the future. But if they are, they do not tell...

6.

Q: What were the biggest problems you faced with designing all the quests, tasks and bosses in Roshamuul?

A: A challenge we faced was the design of the quests themselves. We tried to build mechanics which offer flexibility and replayability at the same time. The difficulty of the area should come from the encounters alone. We decided to put smaller, accessible quests in the lower part and tell more of the Roshamuul background after the wall has been breached. The different approaches are still recognisable in the overall design but together with the permanent changes of the map, I believe we still succeeded in delivering a bit of variety and unconventional Tibia lore.

7.

Q: What is the origin of Gaz'haragoth?

A: Well, if two evil demons love each other very, very much the demon stork might bring them a little baby demon. It also has to do with demon bees and demon flowers, but we here at CipSoft are no experts on such topics; everyone I asked for help in answering this question left blushing and giggling. Apart from that, Gaz'haragoth grew into a quite powerful demon on his own right and was put in charge as a kind of overseer for Roshamuul, even though a certain explosion had somewhat mutated him.

8.

Q: Who or what built the maze in Roshamuul?

A: Generally speaking, the prison was built by the original inhabitants of Roshamuul as part of their bargaining with demons. More clues are scattered throughout the city and its inhabitants, so keep your eyes open and you might figure out more - look, listen, read and learn. I think it is more rewarding to find additional clues in future updates that might shed a new light on old topics and prove some speculations right and others wrong.
