* When you have pulled the lever, the 5 minute timer begins which closes the magic wall. When this happens, more fire is created on the switch tile and it is pressed down, as if you had to repeat the process. Maybe this is a bug? Maybe CipSoft meant for it to reset itself every x minutes so people could try many times in a day even if they fail. Or maybe CipSoft meant for the stones to recover after 5 minutes.

You might be right but it's true - most of the spawns are INSANELY slow, the resp itself is very old (ankh was implemented 7.6 or something), much older than the quest so its not to 'be challenging'

Speculation

Is this confirmed by someone? I think this is a hoax and pure speculation by the maker. The quest is alright, but this area has been rumoured a piece of the serpentine tower quest for years, which is more likely considering the time frame.

I think most of this info comes from the tibia forums thread. If you think it might be incorrect, you can add: {{disputed}}on top of the page. -- Bennie (talk ~ fellows) 21:41, October 8, 2012 (UTC)

When was this quest spoiler found or released? I also though this was a part of the serpentine tower quest, the area in that screen shot has been un-accessable for years.Tyson Strange (talk) 10:01, October 13, 2012 (UTC) pink_panther

This is not a hoax.  A friend of mine opened this and herded people through the quest.  We have difficulty replicating it every time. If you want proof, search for the taming item reward in market. (Music Box)

Attempt 1:  On a Wednesday.  I cleared a full spawn of the lair (not right after SS though), starting at the very bottom, before anything respawned.  When I used DF on the fire, the tile never poped up.  End of attempt.

I cleared the spawn on a friday at 19:00 and it worked, the tile popping up and the lever being pushable.

Details

  • I believe if a Fire Elemental touches the floor switch, you can't do it. The problem is that the FEs will move around if you are below them. I think the best way to do it, the method that I can do it 100% without problems, is by logging in 4 sqm south of the tile, and when logged in, move north 1 sqm immediately to cancel your invisibility so they chase you; this will allow all 7 FEs to reach you and they won't walk on the button to do so. When your 10 second log in exhaust ends you can then kill them and proceed with killing the dragons. A few times, I've come to the area after the floor reset but I was too slow and the FEs had time to walk over the tile; and I believe that is why it didn't work.
  • A few spawns in the lair are incredibly slow. The lower floor for example, I waited 30 minutes for it to spawn and it just didn't. The 2 DLs underneath the fire elementals are also slow. I don't know why, maybe it's just how they were designed way back or maybe it's intended to be more challenging.
  • When you have pulled the lever, the 5 minute timer begins which closes the magic wall.
