Disaster, I don't really see how selling a rat in rook could be considered spoiler information. As such, I believe it should be removed. I'll wait to see what other people think but it doesn't seem to fit as something "spoiled."
~ Uno time
well, if you look at it being the first 'quest' for a newbie, to find out that Seymour or Tom buy them, it would fit.
But then, the spoiler tag would have to be applied to said NPCs as well...

I do not see that this is a spoilor. Just think about how many NPCs are out there that buy stuff. Would then all be consider spoilor?

On the start is hard to make money, selling a rat is something to discover and make cash. In my first experience on Tibia I discovered it by chatting with the NPC, and I'm one of those players that like to discover these things, no fun if someone just tell you. If some1 look the page he can select to see the spoiler just clicking or not, I have to agree with Disaster...

i feel it is an exchange quest and if a player who doesn't want to have things spoiled for hem reads this wiki ....

Who finds TibiaWiki and reads it through before he starts to play Tibia? --Ville-v 22:50, 25 April 2007 (PDT)
Everything is possible, Ville. Maybe his friend just told him "when you are playing, if you have problens with something check this fansite, you'll find alot about Tibia"...

I found TibiaWiki and read parts of it before playing Tibia. In particular, I read some of the geography, vocation, and equipment pages. But I'm a geeky guy. Bombur Thumper
ok so the spoiler stays?

I am still against the spoiler for this as I believe rats should be treated as a creature and an item (for the purpose of being sellable). Maybe we should ask Whitelaces for his opinion? ~ Uno time
So the spoiler is gone. :-P But seriously, just because you do not understand parts of the game does not mean it is a considered a quest to get the information.
Slug the third Talk Contriutions 23:58, 26 April 2007 (PDT)
I wouldn't call it an exchange quest since you change it for pure money...
Art Featherpitch - The mispseller - Spam me 03:58, 27 April 2007 (PDT)
and there are quests were you can get PURE MONEY from to, correct? whats the harm in having the spoiler there honestly? if u dont think it should be hidden then click show spoiler info when u visit the page

That's the same as saying that selling a lootbag to Sam would be called quest spoiling.
<spoiler>Sam: Do you want to sell 14 morning stars for 1260 gold?</spoiler>
SELLING something for GOLD is not quest spoil, but CHANGING an item for ANOTHER item that is not gold (or platinum, crystal) would be quest spoil. This is called exchange quests.
Art Featherpitch - The mispseller - Spam me 08:37, 16 May 2007 (PDT)
The selling of morning stars to Sam would be a misleading spoiler. The player gets a better price for morning stars with Uzgod, Habdel, or Rowenna. :)
Bombur Thumper 13:38, 16 May 2007 (PDT)
It's just an example anyway.
Art Featherpitch - The mispseller - Spam me 13:43, 16 May 2007 (PDT)
Of course, trading and item for gold is not a "quest", but rats in particular, are the first monster that a tibian player meets, and it's not some kind of weapon or armor that you sell in shop or to players, its a dead corpse. Of course selling other items is not a spoiler, since after the player achieve some levels he'll understand more about the game, but when he starts, it's just something he don't even have in mind... I'm not saying that the spoiler would apply to every item etc, just for rats because it's the first monster that the newbie tibians fights...

art im not sure were u got the idea for putting a spoiler on the morning star page, and i dont think it is needed, rats on the other hand is a quest.
Also art would exchanging 100 gold coins for a platinum coin at the bank be considered quest spoiling?

You better read my whole post before writing something like that. No other comments.
Art Featherpitch - The mispseller - Spam me 20:32, 17 May 2007 (PDT)
A quest involves doing something so you get some item, ability, or access. Do you have to do anything to sell rats besides talk to a NPC and say 'sell rat'? If there is more then I would say it is a quest to be able to sell dead rats. If there is nothing else then it is no quest. To me it is cut and dry, this is no quest.
-- Slug the third Talk Contriutions 00:06, 18 May 2007 (PDT)
I think that a spoiler isn't necessary, because the NPC's say they buy ratcorpses, if this page should have a spoiler, all buyer-NPC's should have spoilers, this, ofcourse, is ridiculous. So i'd say, we should remove the spoiler.

art i did read your hole post, and as pointed out before its not a normal trade with an npc its rather special considering its selling a corpse, there are a few fansites wich even list this on there quest page.

Read what I writted... this is not a "quest", just a spoiling info FOR NEWBIES... a experienced player will know such other things easily... no1 said to make a quest page to it, just add a spoiler tag, an EXCEPTION because it's for neewbies players, it's not to apply to every single thing with all trader npcs, could you guys before talking, arguing or flaming please READ everything? If what I'm saying is completely wrong then just remove the spoiler tag
-- † Pudd Knight † Talk Contribs -- 08:48, 18 May 2007 (PDT)
I have read the arguements for and against having this spoiler and I am still against it. I believe the corpse should be treated more along the lines of an item sold for gold rather than an exchange quest. Also, shouldn't a note be added on the rabbit and wolf pages as well? I believe both these corpses can be sold in rook. Thanks and I hope a decision concerning this matter is made soon. ~ Uno time
You should read the blackboard in Toms shop. It reads
08:08 You see a blackboard. You read: I only buy fresh corpses of rats, rabbits and wolves, as well as bear paws, wolf paws and minotaur leather. I'm not buying anything else! Especially NOT trolls, orcs or humans!
This means that there is no spoiler. Just have to read the blackboard. With that I am removing the spoiler part.
