Well what should the price be. From an NPC perspective this would be about 500gp. however the minium a human would have to pay for 100 vials is 800gp, less they buy them off other players. So what should we put?

I'd say 500 - negotiable gp, since on some servers this ticket might be even more expensive
Unless free-account players can open a lottery ticket and get the addon, the price should never exceed the NPC price.
Why would someone risk being scammed, waste time, and pay more to a player when they can get one from an npc for a guaranteed price, and always know they will get what they pay for?
If anything, the price would be less, not more.

- Surely faccs can open the ticket = they just can't actually get to edron to claim the prize. Are you saying 800gp as that's what you pay to the npcs. Or 500 the price you can sell to npc's?

For 500gp worth of flasks you get an unused ticket, so a ticket is worth 500gp+, since you can change the flasks for 500 gp instead if you like... Seems clear to me
The text seems a bit unclear.
it can be confusing when reading.
"You can enter a lottery costing 100 vials for a chance to obtain a lottery ticket, you an take your chance at any magic dealer."
You get a ticket by exchanging 100 vials not a chance. you have a chance to win the addon but not the ticket.

It is sort of a quest but there is nothing to it since Sandra will ask you no matter what. There are no real challenges to getting one, just buying and using vials or finding them. used some tickets 8.57: 220 used, 5 winners 8.6: 586 used, 8 winners
Comparing old stats(I don't remember) on 8.57 I noticed inconsistencies with the % of winning tickets, I'm sure it has something to do with time of the day or some other unknown factors(similar to respawn loot quality).

On test server i and Tannylouise each used 1000 tickets and got 11 winning tickets which is 1.1% chance. This was added to the previous stats on Lottery Ticket, but there may be some doubt to the accuracy since so many people contributed with varying amounts over several updates. I've used 285 tickets since the update. The 284th was a winning. All the others were blanks. So I had a nice 283-ticket streak with only blanks there. Obviously not enough to be considered jinxed ;p
I'll add my stats when I'm done with the achievement. I can still get up to ~1% winning tickets.

If I'm not wrong, I think after the winter update 2010, the tickets disappear if they are a loss?
Not had time to test it, and I don't want to change the page without testing it.
If anyone could look into it, that'd be great.
