Apparently, the Killing in the name of... Quest/Spoiler page is locked to editing, so I'm trying to reach someone who has the power to edit this page because I wanted to add that they have changed some things like Sea Serpents task, now killing Young Sea Serpents counts towards your task total, which wasn't the case before this previous update 9.1. Changing it so it looks like the Necromancer or Priestess task would be beneficial for everyone. Also I don't think it should say or, because while you can do one or the other, they both count toward the task. So it should say and,(or) and/or. Thanks, I hope someone who has the power can make this change soon.

When I kill Young Sea Serpents, they don't count towards my task total. If they counted before, they don't count now.

Seems like there's a limit on how many times you can repeat a task and still get a boss-point. Finished task for like 4th~ time, and was not awarded with the point. Message was: "03:46 Grizzly Adams: What a show! Very well done. You can ask about new tasks by the way." Hope I didn't miss this being written anywhere, but this talk page is a mess ;)

No, medusae is the correct spelling for the plural of medusa. It's one of those few words whose declension is borrowed from Latin: algae, amoebae, larvae, etc.. Medusae and medusas are both correct plurals, and CipSoft prefers -ae so we should use that too. -- Sixorish 03:43, November 8, 2011 (UTC)

The requeriments to have the chance to face tiquandas revenge are have big game hunter rank and lvl 90, and for demodras to have trophy hunter rank plus lvl 100. I edited the page according to this. I know because in the last days i've killed both, at lvl 90 and 100 and with those ranks.<br />

This is not right, I'm level 200+ and could only take tiquanda revenge special task after I gained 70 points = Trophy Hunter rank (not Big Game Hunter rank as you wrote), so the article is correct right now.

Task limits and boss points
  +
So few questions as it's not explained anywhere and I would like to know:
  +
  +
1. If you have completed all tasks for your level range 3 times can't you do any more tasks until you reach higher level range? (It should be writtten in the article about 3x task limit for tasks other than 130+, and also answer to this question after confirming)
  +
  +
2. If you don't have max points for your lvl range yet, and you finish task without boss (for example apes at lvl 6-49, having <20 points), do you get boss point, ability to fight boss from current or current and lower range or do you "lose" the boss? If the latter, it's recommended to not do tasks without boss untill you reach max points for your lvl range (because then you get boss point even for task without boss).
  +
  +
3. What will happen if you complete a task, for example crocodiles, but dont kill the snapper, then complete crocodiles again and go report mission to grizzly? He is giving you the snapper mission right after reporting crocodiles task, but since you can't have 2 boss snapper tasks active, does the first one gets deleted and lost or you can't report the crocodiles again?

Over Level Achievements
  +
Many Achievements are earned by killing a boss from the Killing in the Name of... quest.
  +
  +
Many of these bosses are for tasks with a maximum level, for instance killing Bloodweb has a maximum level of 79.
  +
  +
Can one fulfill these Achievements even if one is over the level limit? If not, does this mean one cannot do an Achievement even if one was over the level limit when the Achievement was first created?

Hi, there's the quest where you have to kill 4000 necros and the quest log says sth like "Lugri sent you to kill a total of 4000 necromancers, though he said "no reward". So far you killed 343 Necromancers, 107 Priestesses, 0 Blood Priests, 0 Blood Priests, 0 Blood Hands, 0 Shadow Pupils." but I also killed lots of blood priets and the other monsters with "0". I'm more the land hunting type of guy, ya know?" but if you do have he he'll say "16:39 Grizzly Adams: As you wish. == How does one earn Boss Points? ==
  +
  +
"Players who have reached the maximum amount of points for their level's rank will not receive more points. When they complete tasks, however, they may select any boss in or below their level range. The bosses in a lower tier may only be selected once (this is intended to receive the achievements). In addition, level 130s who have maximized their task points will not spend any boss points when choosing bosses from a lower tier. Note that only boss points received from 130+ tasks will have this effect. Boss points obtained in lower tiers will still be spent when selecting any boss"
  +
"For example, a level 130 with 100 points and at least one boss point..."
  +
  +
I'm up to 100 points and I've never seen a boss point. Whenever I complete a task, I automatically get the task to kill the boss for that task I just completed. I don't get an option to kill something else and at no point did I see an earned boss point. But at 100 regular points, I don't see a way to kill the lesser bosses. Can someone enlighten me?

Boss points are only awarded after completing tasks that can no longer contribute to your task point total. This means that anyone below level 50 will earn a boss point every time they complete a task while already being at the maximum amount of points for that level range, i.e. 20 points. This works the same for every range. Bosses that you will always be able to choose with one of those boss points are the ones in your own level range, regardless of whether you have killed those once already or not. However, if you want to pick a boss from a lower level range that you have already killed at least once (and therefore have the corresponding achievement already), you will not be able to do so.
  +
  +
If you have never had the possibility to choose a boss to your own liking, then you must simply never have completed any task while already at the maximum point amount of a particular level range. Now that you've reached 100 points, you should be able to pick any boss from your own level range and any boss from lower level ranges that you haven't already killed at least once as soon as you turn in another task. If there are multiple bosses from lower level ranges that you haven't killed ever before, you can kill them all with one boss point, as only choosing bosses from your own level range will actually consume boss points. -- Wouterboy (talk) 12:24, December 3, 2016 (UTC)

6666 Demons & Others

1. The 6,666 Demons task its a NORMAL task, not a special task. The same grizzly adams gives you the option of hunt behes, ss, hydras, or demons. In the night i will go with my druid to take the npc transcripts.
2. My druid its lvl 98, and he already have the 6,666 demons task. After i killed tiquandas, i had the giant spiders task active, so he didnt give me the choise of kill demons. I finished gss task between lvl 93 or 95 (i have a screenshot, i will search it) and after i killed the widow, he give me 5 choises: 2k hydras, 2k behes, 2k sea serpents, 1.5k serpent spawns or 6,666 demons. (later i will put here the transcripts and screenshots).
3. I finished the giant spiders task after lvl 90, and with my paladin i killed the horned fox at level 43. So i can confirm that you are able to finish the task in ANY level that you want. the restriction its only to ask the task.
4. The underwater quaras task has been always bugged. It happens twice to me that after i killed the 300 quaras and thul, grizzly adams deleted from my log the task and dont give me any experience or points. Maybe a warning about this in the page would be a good idea.

22:05 Grizzly Adams: All right, what would you like to hunt? Hydras, sea serpents, behemoths, serpent spawns or demons?

I completed 50 tasks with my MS at lvl 88, then used midnight shards and advanced to lvl 91. After that I went to Grizzly and after asking him for tasks he proposed hydras, behes, sea serpents, serpent spawns AND demons, I started the Tiquandas Revange tho. After slaying Tiquandas Revange I went back and asked him for demon task and he let me start it (I have entrance in my quest log). Slime Slayer 12:51, December 3, 2010 (UTC)

why dose it say that you get 10 points from this task? you need to be an elite hunter so start this task, since theres no higher rank can you really still gain points from making tasks after you became an elite hunter?

Natasliah 00:37, May 11, 2011 (UTC)

Yes, you can get above 50 points (I have 64). I don't know if the demon task awards points or not, though. -- Sixorish 01:25, May 11, 2011 (UTC)

If it's repeatable the Holy Icon is always reward?
 « Leree »  « Talk »  02:57, January 21, 2011 (UTC)

What do you mean by 'holy icon'? What does it do? Just a graphical effect? By the way, I moved this to a new section. I'm not sure if it was part of the above, so I have left this from the archive to keep any context here. -- Sixorish 10:37, February 27, 2011 (UTC)

This item grants you to enter to the infested area with demon oak. It's reward for demon task. It's item not an effect as you wrote. If no one did this task twice i'll do, to confirm it.

Incomplete transcripts

Here's a list of incomplete transcripts, just so that editors will know what still needs doing.

Task Needs attention
Trolls before completing the first goblin task, what is his response to task/no/yes? (for another troll task)
Rotworms after completing the rotworm tasks, what is his responses when you (1) ask him for a task and (2) turn in that task?
Sea Serpents what is his response when you ask for his task? (read: normal serpents, we have the boss task message only)
what is his response when you turn in the boss task?
Serpent Spawns What is his response when you ask for his task?
Demons The whole section is missing
Special task 1 these may need updating. There's a typo "heared" which may have been fixed.
Special task 2 The whole section is missing (Demodras)
Pirates transcripts are odd and may be changed; grammar error here: Raymond Striker: Do you, by chance, would like to kill pirates again for us?

If you complete something on this list, remove it from the list and leave a message please. -- Sixorish 06:45, January 19, 2011 (UTC)

I have removed a few things from this list in the last few days: trolls (after tasks), goblins (after tasks), GS, WEs, Quara scouts (initiation). I have supplied the transcripts to these tasks, and am currently on the Quara (underwater) task. Hopefully, I'll have the transcripts to this in a couple of days. I'd appreciate it if anyone could get some of the higher or lower level tasks, or even any of the other level 50-89 tasks as I'm nearing level 90 myself. Also, I think I have a friend who is willing to get transcripts for the sea serpent task, once he completes his current mission (still, that may take weeks). -- Sixorish 04:37, February 9, 2011 (UTC)

Removed FEs and Quaras; done them too. -- Sixorish 01:26, February 10, 2011 (UTC)

Done earth elementals and mutated rats. I'm doing either scouts or ice golems next...undecided. -- Sixorish 21:27, February 10, 2011 (UTC)

Provided transcripts of, and removed: energy elementals, ice golems, quara scouts. No more level 50-89 tasks need attention. I'm sorry, I forgot to check if special task #1's transcripts have changed. I have added: special task 2, serpent spawns, pirates and demons task. I noticed that some of the transcript sections did not even exist, and my list here was created by checking each of the existing sections only. I will look through them later for work to be done, if nobody does it before me. -- Sixorish 05:23, February 20, 2011 (UTC)

Archived. Much of it was hugely outdated. -- Sixorish 10:37, February 27, 2011 (UTC)

Task: Wyverns:

I've finished this task today and it gives 12.000 (12k) experience points. There is no boss.

Just edit that, guys =)

Larry Junior 23:56, October 13, 2011 (UTC)

Bombur Thumper 23:12, October 23, 2013 (UTC)

Seems like there's a limit on how many times you can repeat a task and still get a boss-point. Finished task for like 4th~ time, and was not awarded with the point. Message was: "03:46 Grizzly Adams: What a show! Very well done. You can ask about new tasks by the way." Hope I didn't miss this being written anywhere, but this talk page is a mess ;)

Special task Demodras

This task can be done if you have Trophy Hunter rank and level 100+. Just like Tiquanda's Revenge can be done when you have Trophy Hunter rank and level 90+. So someone should look into the guy who keeps editing it... Just saying.

Medusas / Medusae

Someone must edit Medusa's name at the list, it says "Medusae" instead "Medusa"Omar946

Thornback Tortoises

they give 1500 exp. I forgot to check how many points though. Will update you on that when I finish another task. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Norfen (talkcontribs). Remember to sign your comments!

About brimstone bug's task

Yeah the experience given by Grizzly is 15,000 and 3 points. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Omar946 (talkcontribs). Remember to sign your comments!

Confirmed the experience and added the points, thanks again. Beejay 11:35, November 27, 2011 (UTC)

hey is it necessary to make a new topic for every small update about point or xp given?

Also, exp given when you done the Stampor task is 20,000, and 3 points.

Special Task Requeriments

The requeriments to have the chance to face tiquandas revenge are have big game hunter rank and lvl 90, and for demodras to have trophy hunter rank plus lvl 100. I edited the page according to this. I know because in the last days i've killed both, at lvl 90 and 100 and with those ranks.
» Sez6 ~ Talk « 05:07, February 14, 2012 (UTC)

This is not right, I'm level 200+ and could only take tiquanda revenge special task after I gained 70 points = Trophy Hunter rank (not Big Game Hunter rank as you wrote), so the article is correct right now.

And 3 task points, please add it to the list. =) Täcket 18:57, February 29, 2012 (UTC)T

Repeating

I have a question. If I have killed 300 crocodiles and received one task point, will I get another task point when I repeat that task? Or is it only possible to get the corresponding task points once every different task? Wouterboy 14:39, April 6, 2012 (UTC)

You'll get the task point for repeating. -- Sixorish 17:48, April 6, 2012 (UTC)

Ok got it, thanks for the quick response! -- Wouterboy 06:31, April 7, 2012 (UTC)

Updated organization of tasks to make it easier to find tasks in your level range. If you prefer it the other way, just undo my revision.

Task limits and boss points

So few questions as it's not explained anywhere and I would like to know:

1. If you have completed all tasks for your level range 3 times can't you do any more tasks until you reach higher level range? (It should be writtten in the article about 3x task limit for tasks other than 130+, and also answer to this question after confirming)

Many Achievements are earned by killing a boss from the Killing in the Name of... quest.

Many of these bosses are for tasks with a maximum level, for instance killing Bloodweb has a maximum level of 79.

Can one fulfill these Achievements even if one is over the level limit? If not, does this mean one cannot do an Achievement even if one was over the level limit when the Achievement was first created?

Bombur Thumper 03:49, May 12, 2013 (UTC)

After you get the highest rank you can kill all the lower level bosses and get all the achievements that way.
Nevaran (talk) 12:42, May 12, 2013 (UTC)

I've killed 900 Sea Serpents, reported back to Grizzly, killed the Leviathan, and again reported back to Grizzly. Why do I not have The Drowned Sea God achievement?
Bombur Thumper 04:36, May 19, 2015 (UTC)

Hi. Best way to get an awnser is from cipsoft. When you did not get an achievement is mail them at support@tibia.com and ask them why you did not get it. Maybe you have it already and if not they will have an answer for you. -- Tustanuxo (talk) 06:55, May 19, 2015 (UTC)

Necromancers Task

Hi, there's the quest where you have to kill 4000 necros and the quest log says sth like "Lugri sent you to kill a total of 4000 necromancers, though he said "no reward". So far you killed 343 Necromancers, 107 Priestesses, 0 Blood Priests, 0 Blood Priests, 0 Blood Hands, 0 Shadow Pupils." but I also killed lots of blood priets and the other monsters with "0". Is it a bug or do they still count?!

Broda922 (talk) 21:48, October 3, 2013 (UTC)BrodaBroda922 (talk) 21:48, October 3, 2013 (UTC)

Yeah it's bugged. CM's post on the 30th. I doubt the kills you make now will count after the bug is fixed. -- Sixorish (talk) 04:55, October 4, 2013 (UTC)

Underwater Quara It should probably be noted somewhere that you cannot take the underwater quara task without carrying your Helmet of the Deep. I couldn't take the task but didn't think that it would matter, but it does. If you don't have it he says "16:33 Grizzly Adams: Very specialised skills are needed when it comes to a quara hunt. I'm more the land hunting type of guy, ya know?" but if you do have he he'll say "16:39 Grizzly Adams: As you wish. Seek out a quara settlement and hunt 600 quara, it doesn't matter which type you hunt. Alright?" InfernosEnforcer (talk) 20:16, January 19, 2014 (UTC)

Got it for you. You can also edit things like that yourself if you want. -- Wouterboy (talk) 21:03, January 19, 2014 (UTC)

I would but I didn't want to screw up the page somehow. Figured I should leave it to people who knew what they were doing, and also to make sure people agreed that it should be added.

InfernosEnforcer (talk) 22:59, January 24, 2014 (UTC)

Another great place to hunt bonebeast

for paladins, from level 50 you can go old fortress -1 and task bonebeasts there, I also got 225k/h and a bit of waste but skull helm from ribstride payed for all of the waste, if you don't use spells then you came probably come out with 0 waste.

~Mako

What do you mean by old fortress?

How does one earn Boss Points?

"Players who have reached the maximum amount of points for their level's rank will not receive more points. When they complete tasks, however, they may select any boss in or below their level range. The bosses in a lower tier may only be selected once (this is intended to receive the achievements). In addition, level 130s who have maximized their task points will not spend any boss points when choosing bosses from a lower tier. Note that only boss points received from 130+ tasks will have this effect. Boss points obtained in lower tiers will still be spent when selecting any boss" "For example, a level 130 with 100 points and at least one boss point..."

Bombur Thumper 01:41, December 3, 2016 (UTC)

Boss points are only awarded after completing tasks that can no longer contribute to your task point total. This means that anyone below level 50 will earn a boss point every time they complete a task while already being at the maximum amount of points for that level range, i.e. 20 points. This works the same for every range. Bosses that you will always be able to choose with one of those boss points are the ones in your own level range, regardless of whether you have killed those once already or not. However, if you want to pick a boss from a lower level range that you have already killed at least once (and therefore have the corresponding achievement already), you will not be able to do so.

Thank you. I am now enlightened.
