Is it just me or since the updates the hydras aren't giving loot as they used to? I mean, I hunted for 6 hours yesterday and got nothing but a few sapphires. Anyone experienced that?

Before the 7.8 update, I remember reading about how CIP improved the loot rates for Vampires, Apes, Lizards, and Hydras. I can't seem to find the article I read that in, though.

Sounds like "improved loot rates" means that some items are more rare.

Yes, I have heard about that in the internal boards but I didn't think they would lower the rate of the rares. Although, I concur with that, some people were becoming rich way too fast. :p

Yes. The hydra is a dragon of sorts. --DM ><((°> Contribs <°))>< talk to me 18:36, 17 April 2006 (CDT) 16:21, 2 January 2007 (PST)

What does "unusual rare" mean? this should be edited! --Rellik Evol 21:26, 2 February 2007 (PST)

I found a Hydra up of lizards. It is possible?

There is a Hydra that spawns onthe ground level to the west of the ladder to the rope-bridge (over the mountains), north of the poacher's camp. Is that the one you are talking about?

I've heard that the only hydra(s) on groundlevel are on the southern side of the river, can anyone confirm that? Wouldn't want to run into one when mapping the northern side of the river.

There's one Hydra near that chest with 2 elephant tusks, but she can be lured near lizards or otherplaces around that area. She can even be roped up by lurers on the bridge way to Ank. It's not common to see it lured (I think), but there's only one Hydra on groundlevel.

I noticed that hydra heals less than the patch, can someone check if this is true?

Anyone noticed what kind of changes that were made to Hydras in the 8.40 update?

Does the attacks of the a Hydra Still inflict Ice Damage?

I want to know if after the update the "Hot Water Wave" still inflicts Ice Damage... because I saw a picture in TibiaPic where the blocker is wearing a "Helmet of the Deep".

Maybe now inflicts Drown Damage

Killed some hydras and dint notice drown damage. What i think i saw is that they have 1 more attack earth missile and that they eal or faster or more hp per turn.

What would be the minimum lvl+skills for a knight to block a hydra? Should not be total waste but some waste is acceptable?

I think level 50s with 70/70 skills and normal equipment should be enough. It would be possible to block from 40s with a sioer but I wouldnt recommend it. And it would most likely be a waste if you didnt have a (reliable) druid. beejay 10:46, 8 April 2009 (UTC)

Thanx.. Will try it this weekend.:) Just got 50 and skills 72/70.:) Will let you know if it went ok.:)

Terra Set is preferable to kill hydras 289martin289 18:10, April 28, 2010 (UTC)

Weaker atacks than those of a Dragon Lord?

I've always wondered why is that on the hydra page sice it can hit way more than a DL. Im a mage so when I hunt them is usually with a blocker so maybe I dont "suffer" the damage in the same way so could someone explain it for me? :)

I also don't agree with this. their melee is rather higher than that of a DL and they have two waves they can shoot at the same time, so that's a bit stronger than wave + gfb Yxil 09:19, June 26, 2011 (UTC)
