Does this explode also when doing other quest? If so it may be better to say in quest pages that you may need 2 or more of them.

I don't think it explode when doing quest. I use it like 40 times in Machinery of War Quest and also in other (the shattered isles (1), kissing a pig (1), 2x blood brother (6), 3x tower defence (3) and probably few more) and nothing happend so far.
