I've used 2 shields a long time ago and i didn't see any difference between 2 and one, is this info accurate or just a stub??---Neoarchon

I have never done any testing myself, and I have seen conflicting reports from various people. The most convincing report seems to be that when you use two shields, the defense value of the strongest shield is used, and the other shield is ignored, but I do not know for sure.

I tried to use two shields and didn't notice any diference. But I also tried to use a shield and a bright sword and I also wasn't able to notice any diference as most people would expect. Changing armor I noticed a big diference.

Does anyone have another experience to sharer?

What you should actually be looking for is the number of "poofs", "sparks", and "blood hits".

Shields and weapons have a defense value... armor, legs, helmets, etc. have an armor value.

To the best of my knowledge, armor affects the amount of damage an attack will cause to you....defense affects the number of attacks that get through, but not the damage those attacks would cause.

Furthermore, if you are using a shield, then your shielding skill will also affect the number of attacks that hit you, but not the damage those attacks would cause.

When testing, you would need to choose a weapon that has a defense value much different from the shield it is replacing in your hand.

You should also keep in mind that magic attacks are not affected by armor or defense, so those attacks won't be different based on your equipment.
