"Each equipment piece has a 10% chance of dropping during death."

Are you sure promotion or blessings doesn't reduce this? I read this once in a proposal thread about reducing the death penalty...

Quote of Manual: Please note that the chance of dropping items will not be reduced if a character is promoted.

I always thought that chance would be reduced as well! Oh well, maybe I'm just used to AoLs.

Upon death with red skull, if wearing an AoL, will the AoL be lost or will it appear in the corpse?

The AOL will disappear... or more accurately, it will be "used-up" and disappear.

Unfortunately, I've died quite a few times. However, I clearly have not lost 10% of my items. Unless I've must been very lucky, it looks like the chance to drop an item on death is closer to 1%. Bombur Thumper

It's not 10% for all the items, but 10% per item. And I've also died a few times (30-40) and I've dropped more than even two items not just once. I can't agree that the chance is 1%.-EMbet

According to the official tibia manual, each equipped item has a 10% chance of being dropped when you die.

I managed to drop 4 items (Armor, Legs, Rod and Boots) when I died on my druid a long time ago. According to the percentage there's a chance of 0.01% to drop 4 items... can that really be accurate?

The change is random. You should not be dropping 4 items at once when you die 100th time, you can do it at the first time, or even 100 times in row. On the other hand, you may drop only backpack when you die, even if you had 9 other items equipped. It is all about luck. --Ville-v 09:31, 25 April 2007 (PDT)

i think he means is that stat acurate, not asking what a statistic means.

Deaths below level 7

I just did some testing in Rook, and it seems there is no exp/skill loss for characters below level 7. Can anyone confirm this?

Mathias (profile, talk) · Favelets · Formulas — 01:39, 14 May 2007 (PDT)

I just killed myself at level 1, I had 19xp with 32% to go for 11 swording, I was downgraded to 18xp with 38% to go.. --Erig 02:49, 14 May 2007 (PDT)

old erig statisticsnecessary about this

A friend just died and i wanted to find out how much exp he lost but was very hard. The information on this page looks a bit confusing, i found easyer to go tibiabr and check out a loss table comparing old system to new one. But anyway i also had to go tibia.com to check the experience from 1 lvl to another.

Is it impossible to put the old erig.net system here? I remeber you could inform your lvl and select blessing and promotion and it show losses. If is impossible anyone whilling to do a table showing it? I am too messed to even make Excel table i have no idea how to make it here without copy the tibiabr one.

In case anyone want see {here} is a table they did giving example of the losses at determined levelsbefore and after the patch, and {here} is a table comparing the price of blessing before and after patch.

I think if anyone had enought criativity and alot time could start a table with what amount of exp you lose at what level, and another colum with ammount with bless and promotion and then the comunity would contribute completing this big table. ~~

There is a calculator like that on tibia.ml. You can find it here. However it doesn't take % to level into account, so it only works perfectly if you have 100% to next nevel.
I made a javascript calculator for myself when the teaser about the new death penalty came. Then the next day I saw that Erig had one on his site so I didn't bother with mine. If someone who's good at making calculators for wiki wants I could post my javascript code.

Blessings stacking

Does blessing reduction stacks exponentially or additively? Article states the former because this table Death_Penalty#Death_Penalty_Reduction tells that with for example 2 blessings the penalty will be 0,92^2 * penalty% which is 8,464% for level below 25 instead of 8,4 which you would get if you add 8% + 8% for each blessing. So with 5 blessings, according to this table, the penalty will be reduced by 34%, not by 40% as one would expect multiplicating 5 * 8%.
Then:
a) Am I just misunderstanding something
b) Is the table wrong, or
c) Does the formula changed in some update and it's exactly like written there?

Death Penalty for being killed by lower level ?

there is something on my mind - I have died twice recently - once killed by lower levels and once killed by monsters

when i was killed by lvls sum like 1/2 of my level i lost far more % of skills/exp points than when i died because of monsters after i get few levels and skills

I tried to prove my theory by killing 15 lvl with 8 lvl char but I failed, still I'm wondering if maybe this event occur for higher level for example for 25+ or 100+ (but i do not want to kill myself again ;D ) because i should have lost more being killed by monsters because i have got more exp/higher skills
