When they made the update they didnt remove peoples money from the banks so people can still have over 1000gp in there, they just cant deposit more than that. So Im pretty sure you can still get crystal coins. beejay 17:07, 23 February 2009 (UTC)
You can't deposit money in the bank but you can still change gold and platinum coins into crystal coins

Why wouldn't you be able to get one? If you have 100 platinum coins, just change them into a crystal coin. I know I didn't have enough platinum coins when I went to Paulie but here's the transcript:
Player: hi
Paulie: Welcome Player! Here, you can deposit or withdraw your money from your bank account and change gold. I can also explain the functions of your bank account to you.
Player: change platinum
Paulie: Would you like to change your platinum coins into gold or crystal coins?
Player: crystal
Paulie: How many crystal coins would you like to get?
Player: 1
Paulie: So you want me to change 100 of your platinum coins into 1 crystal coins for you?
Player: yes
Paulie: Sorry, you don't have enough platinum coins.
