Spark of the Phoenix

Click Here to Show/Hide Spoiler Information
Spoiler warning: Quest and/or game spoiling details follow.
If you have a phoenix egg in your inventory, you will get a 1,000 gp discount on The Spark of the Phoenix. The egg can be used an unlimited number of times.
Spoiler ends here.

Can anyone confirm this information? I mean, I think this NPC take the egg away for this discount (but I never tried it before, because I feared to lose my phoenix egg)

I'll try this again next time I die (I hope this don't happen soon :s)
But if any1 can confirm before me, do it please.

"A full blessing will cost 500k." I thought a full set of blessings cost 50k.

Um, the pheonix egg isn't quest spoiling. The NPC tells you that he will give you a discount if you have it with you when you buy the blessing. - Rhad

Update

The patch is not released today, only a teaser. Do not add the info until the actual update/patch. This is what I'm talking about btw. ^^ Bennie (talk ~ fellows) ^^ 17:17, 10 March 2009 (UTC)

It would also be better to write it in your own words, copying verbatim from the website should be avoided.
Formula:
if(x >= 30)
 then if (x <= 120)
  then (y = (x-30)*200+2000)
 else (y = 20000)
else (y = 2000) or using parser functions:
{{#ifexpr:{{{level|1}}} >= 30 | {{#ifexpr:{{{level|1}}} <= 120 | {{#expr:({{{level|1}}}-30)*200+2000}} | 20000}} | 2000}}
I can't figure out how conditionals are displayed in LaTeX, though. -- Sixorish 20:39, 10 March 2009 (UTC)

What are you talking about, is the formula for death penalty? What is LaTeX? Or do you mean math $ y = (x-30)*200+2000 $? ^^ Bennie (talk ~ fellows) ^^ 21:05, 10 March 2009 (UTC)

No, this is the cost for the blessings, they didn't give enough information to work with for the others. But I think that it is
(a - b) * (50+c)%
Where a = exp for current level, b = exp for previous level, c = players level. But as said, they didn't give enough information to know an exact formulae.
About LaTeX, see wikipedia:LaTeX and/or wikipedia:TeX -- Sixorish 21:38, 10 March 2009 (UTC)

From the info they gave I was able to make a calculator (it's very crude and the webhotel automatically puts ads on the pages, but you can find it here: http://hem.passagen.se/ankath/tibia/explosscalc.html). I wasn't able to make a simple formula for it. Might be possible to make one though.
The way they calculate the exp loss is if you for example have exactly the exp for level 100 and you die you lose exp down to level 98 with 50% to 99. I found that out since they said a level 100 that died would lose 1.35% with promotion and full blessings.

Nice calculator you made there. :) I've reworded and tried to organise some parts of this page, added information about item loss. I dont understand what someone wrote about calculating the % lost on death but I'm not one for maths. If someone could explain what it means a little better then I think this page would be 'complete'. If I got the item loss with blessings wrong then I'm not surprised. beejay 21:54, 4 April 2009 (UTC)

Twist of Fate

After 120, all blesses are the same price
Is it actually a bug if the blessings cost more than this after 120 or not? I believe I wasn't playing very much when this came in and was also below 120 at the time. This is a copy of what the NPC in Svargrond said and I know this also applies to Darashia.

02:23 Beejay squeek [123]: twist of fate
02:23 Kjesse: This is a special blessing I can bestow upon you once you have obtained at least one of the other blessings and which functions a bit differently. ...
02:23 Kjesse: It only works when you're killed by other adventurers, which means that at least fourty (spelling) percent of the damage leading to your death was caused by others, not by monsters or the environment. ...
02:23 Kjesse: The twist of fate will not reduce the death penalty like the other blessings, but instead prevent you from losing your other blessings as well as the amulet of loss, should you wear one. It costs the same as the other blessings. ...
02:23 Kjesse: Would you like to receive that protection for a sacrifice of 20600 gold, child?

I've also had a level 150+ ask me the same question before and I think they bought this at Darashia. They was given the correct price if blessings weren't limited at 120 (e.g. Level -20 then / 5). If I can reach a tutor, I will ask but I haven't asked this on the forums. Beejay 02:33, December 24, 2011 (UTC)

That price table is not completely accurate considering the twist of fate bless price changes up to lv 270 and up to 50k gold (but still 200gp / level like standard blessings). Check the Twist of Fate article for more info.

The price

The price of this new blessing is not the same as the regular ones:

23:15 Stelli [96]: enhanced

23:15 Nomad: I have the power to grant you the enhanced blessing of the blood of the mountain. But I must ask of you to sacrifice 19760 gold. Are you prepared for that?

The reguler for this character lvl is 15,200 gold.

Zvezdiica (talk) 21:21, May 12, 2017 (UTC)

Yes, CipSoft had already said it on April 20: "Concerning the gold price, we have not yet received a final number, but it is going to be higher than the already existing ones."

Based on the price you had to pay, it seems they've decided that the price would be 30% higher than the regular blessings' price. I had to pay 21320 gp for each of these new blessings on my EK at level 102, this is also 30% higher than the regular blessings' price. And based on the prices you and I had to pay, we can infer it increases 260 gp per level which is 30% greater than the regular blessings increase (200 gp per level).

Everything is allright. I just write this because on the pages of the two blessers is written that the price is the same as regular blessing, I just want that the editors take care of this metters, I'm able to edit small thing, not that important.

THX everybody,

Zvezdiica (talk) 22:52, May 12, 2017 (UTC)

Oh, you're right. I just corrected the price on both Kais and Nomad pages. In the meantime, I've updated the table and added information on the new blessings price on Blessings page.

Thanks for your report! :)
