you can only buy that stuff if you've done the quests for them already, right? Orelius 04:48, 18 August 2008 (UTC)

In the notes to the NPC it is written that you can only re-buy items. But is anyone able to proof it? Sadonic 05:47, 18 August 2008 (UTC)

Warning: Goldfish Bowl not useable for Rashid Quest!

I just found a thread on the Gamemaster Board on www.tibia.com (klick here to read it) about the Goldfish bowl sold by Black Bert. It seems that Bert only sells the Bowl needed for the Thieves Guild Quest and that this Bowl can NOT be used for the saturday Rashid mission!!!

Maybe we should insert a note next to this item in the list so that players dont waste their money in vain...?

It might have been too obvious to me to have realised about this, just because of the nature of Black Bert. He sells "lost" items which prevent people from completing quests. Not items that can easily be replaced, but I will add the information to the Goldfish Bowl (With Fish) page anyway, thank you. beejay 11:31, April 18, 2010 (UTC)

Buying quest items instead of getting properly (Getting from chests/looting)

I was wondering, would buying Strange Powder, needed for The Explorer Society Quest, instead of going to Orc Fort and getting the powder from the chest work? I don't want to have to get someone to clear the Warlords and Leaders and going by my self is dangerious and I'd prob use more then 5k in supplies, which is the price that Black Bert sells the powder.

It says in the in the Secret Service Quest that instead of killing the Technomancer you can buy his beard from Black Bert. Maybe using Black Bert to buy quest items only works for quest items that you loot from monsters. If you open the door and use the chest to recieve the item then it might do something to your character that means the NPC will reconise that you've completed that quest. Although, if you have the item then the NPC shouldn't rlly care where you got it from anyways.

Any suggestions or experence? Someone wants to test this?

For some quests you need to have got the item yourself before going to Black Bert e.g. Banuta's Giant Ape's Hair. Other quests you do not need to have got the item first e.g. all of the items which can be bought for Shadows of Yalahar Quest or Blood Brothers Quest. So I guess it depends on the quest. It might be that older quests you need to have got the item beforehand and newer quests you don't. Beejay 16:24, September 12, 2010 (UTC)

It depends of the quest. In the A Father's Burden quest you actually need to open the quest doors before trying to deliver the items to Tereban. I know this because i wasted 4k buying the exquisite silk from Black Bert. » Sez6 ~ Talk « 22:24, December 13, 2011 (UTC)
