You see a sudden death rune ("adori gran mort").

It can only be used by knights, paladins, sorcerers, druids with level 45 and magic level 15 or higher.

It weighs 0.70 oz.

Notes

Shoots a powerful Death Damage attack on a single target.
This is arguably the strongest rune in the game. However, as it is a quite expensive rune, it's mostly used to kill strong Monsters fast, or gain a large amount of Experience in a relatively short time span.

History

Used to be used by Paladins, but since the Summer Update 2007 magic level is more important for the damage done from runes than your characters experience level, therefore all vocations do less damage with SD runes nowadays.

Before the Winter Update 2007 SD runes did physical damage, but since that update they do death damage. Note that many creatures are immune to SD runes even though the rune is very powerful. The magical formula was adori vita vis but has been changed to adori gran mort in the same update to better match the new element system. The price was changed from 135 to 162 since Summer Update 2024.
