A stag is truly a king in his own way. Hunting deer is a common practice throughout the realms of Tibia and their mighty antlers are the crown jewel of many a huntsman's trophy collection. There was a time when hunting these majestic beasts was a given right to every Tibian citizen. However, many lords and kings have since prohibited hunting deer on their lands, declaring the grounds these delicate beings roamed as protected forests. Owning these lands meant owning its deer. Breaking such laws was punishable by death which made hunting there not exactly a reliable source of income. Except for cunning poachers and a few vagabonds with nothing to lose. Stolen venison was not easy to turn into cash and you could easily find other animals to hunt or eat. Who would say no to a fresh rotworm stew, an acquired taste but easily made and far from a criminal offense. The stag and its venison became quite a rare commodity, and rightfully so.
