You see a sibang
  • Eeeeek! Eeeeek!
  • Huh! Huh! Huh!
  • Ahhuuaaa!

Notes

The Sibang seems playful and harmless but this impression is misleading. They use their incredible agility to attack enemies from a safe distance and to swiftly evade counter-attacks. Their hit-and-run tactic proves especially effective in the familiar territory of the jungle. Attacking suddenly from the cover of trees, they throw volleys of different projectiles and then retreat to safety to prepare for their next attack. Ever curious and adventurous, they are the apes that are most often away from their homes. Sometimes they serve as scouts and spies to prepare a bigger assault. Using trees like humans are using roads, it is nearly impossible to catch them.

They are usually found in large groups with Kongra and Merlkin. You may hunt 300 Kongra, Sibang, Merlkin combined, as a task of the Killing in the Name of... Quest.

Location

In Banuta, north-east of Port Hope.

Behaviour

They are very fast and throw stones. They do not run in low health and fight at distance. Their distance attacks have a long range and can reach you from off-screen. They can Retarget.

Strategy

Knights should be very careful around these. They run quickly, and if you chase them you will risk being swarmed with more apes. If you are not quick enough to catch them on open ground, using buildings to get them to come to you is a good idea.
Paladins It's a good idea to hunt them with Enchanted Spears since its range is long enough to kill a sibang without you needing to chase it - Royal Spears do not have a large enough range to hit without chasing. Using a shield is highly recommended in either case due to the presence of Kongras nearby.
Druids and Sorcerers should use Ice Strike and Wand of Decay/Necrotic Rod or Hailstorm Rod. Ice Wave can also be effective as sibangs are within its range. Chasing not recommended as you risk being swarmed by more apes. They can move items that are in their way. Take advantage of the buildings in Banuta, and try to trap them in corners.
