A person that wants to take advantage in the game over weaker characters for being stronger, or having strong friends. Usually this is done by threatening you with the fact that the power abuser(s) will kill or Hunt you if you don't do what they say or give them money. Or another way is to block someone in a path with it and heal the monster until the player dies as an alternate way to kill on PvP without getting a skull. Even though almost all Noobs usually make threats to Power Abuse, usually for Free "Itens", few individuals actually have the power to do so. Many serious power abusers act out in two phases; 1- Being able to perform/act on their threats for a small and insignificant reason (Such as someone stealing ham) or for no reason at all. Phase 2- Consists of the power abusers getting away with the death because of friends, which serves as a further taunt of their power towards the opposition.

Power abusers are also known with abbrevation PA (PA also means premium account). They are commonly found on PvP worlds.

On Non-PvP worlds it usually doesn't happen quite like on PvP because they can't kill you. However, due to the fact they are stronger they will sometimes steal experience or lootbags from you instead until you leave. One of the more common Non-PvP power abusing trick is to either lure a monster (not in use as much since the 7.5 update).

On PvP Enforced worlds, people will just flat out kill you instead of bothering to Power Abuse.
