The Planegazer were a group of researchers whose ultimate goal was to contain the Planestrider, as mentioned in this book. Their last leader was Dolis, whom held the role of headmaster, and eventually became the Last Planegazer. Their activities mostly revolved around investigating and building upon special Sites that had been visited by the Planestride, as well as building forges which were used to assemble different artefacts, most notably the Opticording Sphere and The Supreme Cube. They also built a headquarter, the Chamber of Reflections.
It is unknown exactly what led to their downfall, however, the documents left behind say that their Council wasn't satisfied with the Headmaster's interest in speeding up their research. During their research, they visited a lot of places and had encounters with many Tibian civilizations and important characters, such as the Yielothax Dimension, the Deeplings, Roshamuul and Galthen (as reported here. Scarlett Etzel recognizes players as Planegazers when they visit the Cobra Bastion.
Some of the steps of the Planegazers can be followed during the Opticording Sphere Quest. By collecting clues and assembling The Supreme Cube, it's possible to finally challenge the Planestride and obtain an enigmatic Monolith of the Planes. The Supreme Cube is known to be one of several Prime Artefacts.
