Since update 8.2 they respawn in Edron with Defilers, but only few people know how to get there.

On pvp worlds, shoot Fire Fields to make it walk around and not get to you (only if you're a Mage or Paladin. It is a good way not to waste anything. Power Bolts for Paladins and Explosions or Sudden Deaths for Mages.
