Pantibian Festival

Pantibian Festival was an event which took place on May 18, 2022, at 18:00 CEST. During the event players had an opportunity to meet the four founders of Tibia, Stephan, Guido, Durin, and Steve - commonly known as the Gods, and played through a fun obstacle course together with selected streamers and participants who qualified to it during the Tibia's 25th Anniversary.

The Gods spent approximately 45 minutes on each of three special game worlds (one world per region) which were only available during this event.

Three worlds which hosted the events in all regions in different times were:

Panthena (EU): 19:00 CEST
Panthera (NA): 20:15 CEST
Panthebra (SA): 21:30 CEST

Participants[]

There are two ways players could get invited: gathering Theons or filling a form to have a chance to be an official streamer at the event.

Pantheons[]

Pantheons - or theons - are points created for the event. One could obtain theons by complete different activities during the Tibia's 25th Anniversary such as:

Killing creatures and bosses located in the Time Travel Dungeon
Killing creatures on seasonal raids in Svargrond, Liberty Bay and Port Hope (Unexpected, Uninvited, Unsolicited and Unwanted)
Playing in Lucky Dragon's funfair
Eating at The Ambrosia Buffet table
Finding Time Travelling Tourist in the Scavenger Hunt

The top 50 players of each region (South America, North America and Europe) received an invite. A new leaderboard was added to Tibia's website to follow player's progression.

Streamers[]

Additionally to those invited via Pantheons leaderboards, players who have been actively streaming for more than a year were able to fill a form and apply for additional invites. A total of twelve invites per region were provided: six for the selected streamers and six others for friends of those streamers (one friend per streamer).

Event[]

On each of the three worlds, the event lasted for about 45 minutes. The first 30 minutes were spent in the obstacle course which focused on good timing and quick thinking. It was created for this special purpose and was only available during the festival.

The notorious Lord Retro put a spell on the founders of Tibia and turned them against everyone who dares to enter his playground. He sealed off the streets of Thais and strips intruders of all their items and their spells. As a master of the art of deceleration, he also makes them experience again how it feels to walk slowly instead of running like a lightning bolt.

The only way to free Durin, Guido, Stephan and Steve from Lord Retro's grasp is to make them remember by overcoming the obstacle course together. The challenges are the following:

After beating the course, founders and players gathered in King Tibianus' throne room to wrap up the event and pose for some screenshots. For this part, players got back their items and spells so they could hold their ground against special guests conjured by the founders. Moreover, a particular display in the throne room held an exceptional surprise for those who click on it.

Moreover, all invited players who did not get disqualified received a special decorative souvenir - the Pantibian Amphora - to keep this unique event in a lasting memory. This tradable item was delivered to their inbox one week after the Pantibian Festival took place. At that time, the opportunity to exchange Theons for decoration items related to the 25th anniversary, including several new items, was implemented.
