Tips[]
The tasks are supposed to be additional objectives to complete while normally playing the game. However, some players will want to focus on points to use the features that are available to high-ranked citizens. The following tasks are reasonably completable during a hunt:
The following tasks are the fastest to complete for votes:
- Communication Breakdown
- Combinatorics (requires strong coordination)
- The Ancient Sewers
- Cooking Gloo (requires Citizen rank and The Gloud Ship mission)
The following tasks are kill-tasks and require almost no effort outside of usual hunting:
The following task has limited repeats per day and is impractical for farming:
The following task could be completed to buy your way through voting points assuming the items are available:
- Glooth Capsules (requires Citizen rank and Glooth Bandits and Four Demanding Statues mission)
The following tasks are simply not worth the hassle just for the points:
Missions[]
Each mission can be completed once following the descriptions in this section. However, many of these missions will unlock corresponding tasks, allowing you to revisit and repeat specific parts of the mission to earn additional voting points.
The Glooth Bandits[]
To begin "The Glooth Bandits" mission, start by speaking with Elbert, who can be found here. When you speak with him ask him about a Mission; he will enlist your help in investigating a recent surge in glooth bandit attacks.
Your task is to retrieve 10 Glooth Capsules, which have been stolen by the Glooth Bandits and Glooth Brigands. You can obtain these capsules by hunting Glooth Bandits and Glooth Brigands or by purchasing them through The Market or from a friend. It's important to note that Elbert will not accept Tainted Glooth Capsules. If you happen to loot Tainted Glooth Capsules, you can use a Filled Glooth Converter acquired in the course of the Oramond Quest - The Mutated Glooth Plague to purify them into Glooth Capsules.
Report back to Elbert to complete this mission, you will earn 2 voting rights in the Rathleton Magistrate. If you have more than 10 Glooth Capsules, you will receive 2 additional voting rights for every 10 capsules you hand in.
Four Demanding Statues[]
Requirements:
- You've achieved the rank of Citizen by casting a total of 300 votes.
- A Lyre which can be found here or purchase one from Fayla in Rathleton.
- A Dead Rat which can be found here, here, here, and here.
- Gathered 3 Dinky Moss Florets.
- A flask of Holy Water purchased from Henricus in Thais.
To begin the "Four Demanding Statues" mission, start by speaking with Elbert, who can be found here. When you speak with him ask him about a Mission in which he will ask you to help find the bandits' hideout, in order to find out who is behind the attacks. You can find the hideout's entrace here, which is to the south-west of the Slime Slide which brought you into the Underground Glooth Factory. Go up the hole then follow the short path to the south where you will go down a hole arriving within the strange large room.
Descending deeper into this strange room you will come accross 4 statues, an Angel Statue to the North, a Sacred Statue to the East, a Cobra Statue to the South, and a King Statue to the West. You must find a way to Bless, Adorn, Feed, and Entertain the statues. In this room you will also find a Dead Explorer found here.
- Start by positioning yourself infront of the Angel Statue to the North. Now use the Holy Water you purchased from Henricus in Thais on the statue. If you have successfully Blessed the Angel Statue you will receive the following message:
Mysteriously the statue comes to life, nodds generously and spreads its wings. Then it turns back into its lifeless state.
- Continue by positioning yourself infront of the Sacred Statue to the East. You must now create a Dinky Moss Floret Garland. All around the eastern mushroom area you will have found Dinky Moss Florets on the mountain walls, use these to obtain Dinky Moss Florets. When you've gathered 3, use one of the Dinky Moss Florets on another Dinky Moss Floret to create a Interwoven Moss Floret. Now use another Dinky Moss Floret on the Interwoven Moss Floret to create a Dinky Moss Floret Garland. Finally, use the Dinky Moss Floret Garland on the statue to adorn it, ensure that you've turned off the flame on the statue first by using the statue. Failure to turn off the flame will result in the Dinky Moss Floret Garland being destroyed when you use it on the statue! If you have successfully Adorned the Sacred Statue you will receive the following message:
Mysteriously the statue comes to life, stretches out its arm and takes the flowers. Then it turns back into its lifeless state.
- Proceed by positioning yourself infront of the Cobra Statue to the South. Use the Dead Rat on the Cobra Statue to feed it. If you have successfully Fed the Cobra Statue you will receive the following message:
Mysteriously the statue comes to life, bends its head and devours the offered meat. Then it turns back into its lifeless state.
- Finally position yourself infront of the King Statue to the West, using a Lyre play it infront of the statue. Upon successfully Entertaining the King Statue you will receive the following message:
Mysteriously the kingly statue comes to life, smiles slightly and nodds generously. Then it turns back into its lifeless state.
Now that you have animated all four statues, you may enter the Magic Forcefield in the center. Upon entering, you will be teleported to a room on the floor above you, where you will encounter more Glooth Bandits and Glooth Brigands. Head to the far eastern part of the cave to locate a Warlock around here. You must kill the Warlock and once you've done so walk around the room until you receive the following message:
Has the warlock been behind the glooth bandits' assaults? Most likely, but you need a proof. Isn't there a letter in the shelf?
Finally, in the North-East corner of the room open the bookshelf here to get a parchment with the text shown to the side.
Report back to Elbert, upon greeting him your mission will be completed and you will get 4 voting points in the Rathleton Magistrate.
The Mutated Glooth Plague[]
Requirements:
- 5 Bronze Gear Wheels these can be looted from Glooth Golems, Metal Gargoyles, and Rustheap Golems.
- 1 Copper Valve can be obtained by using a Copper Valve.
- 1 Calibrated Indicator Gauge found in the box here.
- 1 Glass Tube received by asking Elbert about a Glass Tube after starting the mission.
- 1 Strange Device supplied by Georgia Rainbird once accepting the mission.
To begin this mission, approach Georgia Rainbird located here. Ask her for a mission by using the keywords Hi - Mission - Yes - No. Upon your request, she will supply you with a Strange Device and instructions regarding the specific items required to assemble a Glooth Converter.
After obtaining the Strange Device from Georgia Rainbird and having gathered the required items, proceed by using the Bronze Gear Wheels, Copper Valve, Calibrated Indicator Gauge, and Glass Tube on the Strange Device. Completing this process will result in the creation of a Glooth Converter.
To continue, speak with Georgia Rainbird once again, she will inform you that she needs an antidote to eliminate the harmful influence of the mutated glooth. To do this you will need to gather a Crimson Crest Mushroom, these can be found throughout the Underground Glooth Factory. You are likely to find them here, here, and here, among other areas around the Purple Slime. To collect a Crimson Crest Mushroom, all you need to do is use the Crimson Crest Mushroom. Keep in mind that it takes 5 minutes for them to regrow after being picked.
Now you must go make your way back to Georgia Rainbird's laboratory and use the Crimson Crest Mushroom on the Alchemical Apparatus to create a Vial of Mushroom Distillate. Now you will need to use the Vial of Mushroom Distillate on the Glooth Converter to finish creating a Filled Glooth Converter.
You will now need to use the Filled Glooth Converter on eight pools of Purple Slime. To use it effectively, use it similarly to a fishing rod. Aim for the center of the pools to avoid obstruction by the ground borders near the edges. Once you've completed this procedure eight times, the Filled Glooth Converter will break, leaving you with a Strange Device, 5 Bronze Gear Wheels, a Copper Valve, a Calibrated Indicator Gauge, and a Glass Tube. With these components, you can easily restart the task by reconstructing the device. Use another Vial of Mushroom Distillate on it to finish rebuilding the Filled Glooth Converter.
Once you've completed the mission speak with Georgia Rainbird to receive 5 rights to vote in the Rathleton Magistrate.
Notes:
- You can request a replacement Strange Device by saying Lost Glooth Converter to Georgia Rainbird.
- You can collect a Calibrated Indicator Gauge every 2 minutes.
- You can request a replacement Glass Tube from Elbert by asking about a Glass Tube.
- Requesting replacement items can only be done if you're carrying them.
- You can create multiple Filled Glooth Converters, allowing you to use one for the quest and one for cleansing Tainted Glooth Capsules.
The Gloud Ship[]
Find Zeronex by going to the harbour and walking around the city wall to find a Ladder (here). Go up the ladders to reach the top and walk a little north.
Talk to Zeronex about the incident and accept the mission with yes. He will send you to Nicholas Cavendish to obtain a Strong Cloth.
Strong Cloth[]
Go to Nicholas inside Upper Rathleton. He is located above the post office, here; to reach him, you must use the Ladder (Oramond) on the south side of the building. Nicholas will ask you for 20 Pieces of Crocodile Leather in return for secret information. Give him the Crocodile Leather and ask again about the very strong cloth. Nicholas will create Strong Cloth for you if you bring him the material required.
First, Nicholas requires 15 pieces of Steel Spider Silk. To get them, you must find special Steel Spiders which crawl around many Rathleton landmarks. Note that you must find the spiders, not Spider Webs. It is recommended to go to the Glooth Factory (here) as it has a higher spider density, but you can find them in the Rathleton Sewers and possibly other places as well. Use the Milking Fork that Nicholas provided on the Steel Spiders. Note that some "spiders", even around Rathleton, which look similar are actually Something Crawling which cannot be used.
- With much care, you extracted some steel spider silk.
When you have obtained 15 pieces of Steel Spider Silk, you must find a Yarn-Winding Machine and use the Steel Spider Silk on the Yarn-Winding Winch to make a Spool of Steel Silk Yarn. You can find one on the west side of the Workshop Quarter, here.
- You have spun the yarn on a spool. Now you can weave a cloth.
Now go to the room below Zeronex and use your Spool of Steel Silk Yarn with a Weaving Loom to obtain Strong Cloth. The following message will appear:
- You have woven a fine strong cloth.
Bottle of Airtight Gloo[]
Go back up the ladder and talk to Zeronex. He will take the Strong Cloth from you and instruct you to speak with Yeo about obtaining strong glue, or gloo. Find Yeo by the Rathleton harbour and exchange the 10 Shrimp for a Bottle of Gloo.
Now you must concoct a Bottle of Airtight Gloo. To do so, go to the Rathleton pharmacy. It is located in the western part of the Rathleton Workshop Quarter, west of the stairs (here). On the second floor, open the Bookcase to obtain Glooth Farina. Go up the stairs again and open the northern Bookcases to obtain Pink Gloud Essence and Glooth Vinegar. You may not need all of these items or you may need more of them. If you need more of an item after using the one you obtain, you can open the respective Bookcase to obtain another one.
Now that you have the ingredients, find a Glooth Cauldron. Conveniently, there are a few located just east of the pharmacy (here and upstairs). Use the Bottle of Gloo on a cauldron and a message appears:
- <gloop> <gloop gloop>
Now you must use the Glooth Cauldron until you obtain the Bottle of Airtight Gloo. If you receive one of the following server messages then you must perform something else before continuing to use the cauldron:
The concoction is too thick. Liquefy it with glooth vinegar.
- —Use Glooth Vinegar on the Glooth Cauldron.
The concoction does not stick! Sequester it with glooth farina.
- —Use Glooth Farina on the Glooth Cauldron.
?
- —Use Pink Gloud Essence on the Glooth Cauldron.
You have retrieved some glooth plasma. Maybe you should shake it to see if it settles down?
- —Use Glooth Plasma. A few things can happen:
- The mix decomposes. Try to cook up some gloo at the cauldrons again.
- —You obtain Rubbish and lose the Glooth Plasma. Continue using the Glooth Cauldron.
- Nothing happens. Maybe if you shook it a little more?
- —Nothing happens. You can use the Glooth Plasma again.
If you require more of the three items, you can receive more from the pharmacy after using the ones you took.
When you are done, you will have received the message:
- You have retrieved some airtight gloo.
Report back to Zeronex about your mission. He will give you an Airtight Cloth to keep, and a Gas Bag for your next mission.
Optional side-mission: Zeronex will give you Airtight Cloth if you ask for it. You can give 6 Airtight Cloths to the NPCs within Rathleton: Yeo, Nicholas, Barazbaz, Alaistar, Fayla and Christine will accept Airtight Cloths. When you hand one in to each of these NPCs, you will receive the achievement Publicity.
Filled Gas Bag[]
Your next mission is to go to Zeronex's laboratory and fill his Gas Bag. The laboratory in the Underground Glooth Factory. Go to the Underground Glooth Factory by entering the Slime Slide in the building by NPC Terrence who is east of the stairs to Upper Rathleton. Go to the furthest west-southwest of the cave to find Zeronex's laboratory, here.
When you find Zeronex's laboratory, use the three Glooth Data Machines that are against the walls. You must use the east side of the machines repeatedly until the calibration is complete for that machine. You will receive the following server messages when you're done with that machine, not necessarily in this order:
- +++ 01 REPORT --- CALIBRATION COMPLETE --- VALUES IDEAL +++
- +++ 02 REPORT --- CALIBRATION COMPLETE --- VALUES IDEAL +++
- +++ 03 REPORT --- CALIBRATION COMPLETE --- VALUES IDEAL +++
Now you can use the Gas Bag on the Glooth Data Machine in the center of the laboratory. When you do so, your Gas Bag will become a Full Gas Bag and you will receive the following message:
- You fill some of the gloud into the gas bag.
Go back to Zeronex and report about your mission. You can leave the Underground Glooth Factory by entering the Slime Slide near where you appeared on entry.
You will receive 3 voting points for completing this mission and you can now accept 3 daily tasks.
Tasks[]
You may complete tasks as many times as you'd like. While certain tasks may have daily limits, others do not impose any such restrictions.
Combinatorics[]
You can initiate this task through Doubleday, but it's not mandatory, as the task automatically activates when you eliminate specific monsters in the Rathleton New Sewers. Voting rights can accumulate rapidly in this task. Once you've slain 9 creatures in the correct order, you'll start building a Consecutive Chain for every additional 3 creatures you defeat in the correct sequence you'll gain an additional voting right.
To proceed, venture into the Rathleton New Sewers and kill monsters in the sequence indicated by your quest log or server log. The eligible creatures for this task are:
As you eliminate each correct creature, your streak increases. Beware that killing the wrong creature will reset your consecutive chains to zero. If you're not aiming for a high score or attempting to achieve the 10 consecutive chains required for the achievement, it's advisable to periodically report your progress to avoid losing it due to a single mistake. The number of Consecutive Chains recorded in your quest log can later be exchanged for voting points through Doubleday. To report your progress, speak with Doubleday using the keywords Hi - Combinatorics - Yes. When you're ready to exchange your chains for voting points, use the keywords Hi - Exchange - (Enter Number) - Yes. Your rewards will be awarded as voting points in the Rathleton Magistrate.
Note, the unpredictable dynamic spawns within Rathleton New Sewers make it challenging to anticipate where specific creatures will appear.
Upon successfully completing 10 consecutive chains within a single task, you'll earn the Combo Master achievement.
Communication Breakdown[]
To begin the communications task, locate Doubleday in the Workshop Quarter here. Speak to him about his communication problem which arose using the following keywords Hi - Communications - Yes. Doubleday will mark a Sewer Grate location on your map.
Head southwest from Doubleday's building and venture under the docks. You'll find a Sewer Grate here that will take you two floors down to here. Be prepared to encounter Glooth Anemones, Glooth Golems, and Devourers in this area. It's advised to bring along Fire Wall Runes, Fire Bomb Runes, or Fire Field Runes to block the Glooth Anemones, Glooth Golems, and Devourers from reaching you.
Note: To ascend back to the surface, you must use the base of the rungs in the wall as you would any Ladder.
In the sewers, your objective is to locate one of the Massive Generators. On the floor you're currently on, there are a total of 3 generators; one to the east, which is closest, and two to the north here, and here. When you locate one, use one of the two Slimy Valves found to the south of the Generator. When using the valve Coloured Steam will appear over your character, and orange text will display above the valve, indicating the colour of the steam released, such as "Yellow steam emerges...". Use the valve 3 times while noting the colours of the steam each time.
For example, if you receive the following texts when using the Slimy Valve:
Violet steam emerges...
Green steam emerges...
Red steam emerges...
This would indicate that you must pull the Violet Lever, then the Green Lever, and finally the Red Lever. It's important to note that you can have the same coloured lever more than once in a row, and the levers take 5 seconds to return back to their usable state. After successfully using the 3 levers, a Strangely Coloured Glooth will appear on the floor north of the levers. Use it to obtain a Vial of Coloured Glooth.
You fill some of the coloured glooth in a vessel. It seems to affect it, making it fragile. Better carry it somewhere safe.
Finally, take the Vial of Coloured Glooth back to Doubleday, be cautious when moving the Vial of Coloured Glooth as it will break, but regardless, Doubleday will acknowledge the task's completion. To report back to Doubleday, simply say Hi - Communications - Yes. As a reward, you'll earn 1 favor with Doubleday, which you can later Exchange for voting rights in the Rathleton Magistrate.
Probing[]
To begin the probing task, locate Doubleday in the Workshop Quarter here. Speak to him about helping him probe part of the sewers using the keywords Hi - Probe - Yes. Doubleday will give you a Mono Detector and a Strange Probing Device.
Avoid any unnecessary interactions with the Strange Probing Device. Moving it within a container or placing it in the wrong location will cause it to disappear. (However, you can freely move the container.) In the event that such an incident occurs, you can request a replacement device from Doubleday by inquiring about the Detector. However, please be aware that there is a mandatory waiting period of 30 minutes before you can receive a new device, starting from the time you initially obtained it. If you complete this task before 30 minutes have passed, you can obtain a new Strange Probing Device after you've handed in the previous successful printout.
To complete this task, you must utilize the Mono Detector to pinpoint specific abnormal spots within the Rathleton New Sewers. These locations can be found here. Be well-prepared to encounter a variety of challenging creatures in this area, including Glooth Anemones, Glooth Golems, Devourers, Rustheap Golems, Humongous Fungi, and Hideous Fungi. It is strongly advised to bring a Dwarven Ring to avoid becoming Drunk from the Humongous Fungi, and Hideous Fungi.
When you have located an abnormal spot, take the Strange Probing Device from your inventory and place it onto the ground at the abnormal spot. It will transform into an Active Probing Device. Next, quickly use the Active Probing Device while it is on the ground. If completed, you will receive a Crude Primitive Printout in your backpack.
Finally, take the Crude Primitive Printout back to Doubleday, he will acknowledge the task's completion. To report back to Doubleday, simply say Hi - Probe. As a reward, you'll earn 1 favor with Doubleday. He will also take the Crude Primitive Printout and, if you have it with you, the Mono Detector. These favors can be Exchanged for voting rights in the Rathleton Magistrate at a later time. Note: if you happen to have multiple Strange Probing Devices, you can use all of them at once for multiple favors; handing these Crude Primitive Printouts is not actually required.
Upon successful completion of this task, you will be eligible to acquire a Necrometer from Jondrin as part of the Dark Trails Quest. Otherwise, he will inform you that you are too inexperienced to wield such valuable government equipment.
Rathleton Turnip Party[]
To begin Rathleton Turnip Party task, you may wish to locate Terrence in the Rathleton Workshops found here using the keywords Hi - Supplies - Yes. However this is not necessary as you will start the task automatically when you gather 'use' a Supply Crate.
To begin, pass through the Rathleton Workshops where you will encounter Metal Gargoyles and Rustheap Golems, continue to head east to the Oramond Minotaur Camp found over the ramp here. Within this first part of the Oramond Minotaur Camp you will face Mooh'Tah Warriors, Worm Priestesses and Minotaur Hunters. Now that you're inside the camp make you way over to the ramp found here to continue.
This first ramp will lead you to a relatively safe area which contains a Slime Slide which can teleport you back to the Depot in Rathleton if your world has voted for this shortcut, if they have not the Slime Slide will simply act as a 1sqm Protection Zone. Once you ascend the second ramp found here be prepared to encounter Moohtants, Execowtioners, Minotaur Amazons, Mooh'Tah Warriors, Worm Priestesses and Minotaur Hunters.
On the mountain you will find Supply Crates. When you use a Supply Crate you will obtain a Supply Crate.
You feel as if being watched. Try to find a water source but don't throw the crate - put it in there gently and secretly.
Note: Do not move the Supply Crate within your inventory or drop it or it will be destroyed:
You drop the crate for a split-second - faster than you can even look, moohtants armed with cowtanas retrieve it and vanish.
Once you've collect a Supply Crate find some Shallow Water and use the Supply Crate on the Shallow Water. After gathering a Supply Crate on the mountain you can go down the south-eastern ramp found here to find a safe place with Shallow Water here, you can use the crate on any area with Shallow Water. Once you've used the Supply Crate on the Shallow Water a Floating Crate of Turnips will appear in the water:
You gently acquaint the crate with fresh water, destroying the turnip in the process - the feeling of being watched disappears.
To complete this task you must dump 10 Supply Crates into the water, doing so one by one. After you've destroyed your 10th Supply Crate you will be unable to obtain another until you report the task. Attempting to do so will result in the following message:
You thinned out these supplies quite effectively - any more and they would surely notice. Return to a city official.
To finish the task, use the keywords Hi - Supplies, and Terrence will then grant you 1 right to vote in the Rathleton Magistrate.

The Ancient Sewers[]
To begin The Ancient Sewers task, locate either of the Glooth Brothers: Elliott found here, or Jacob found here by saying Mission - Yes.
You will need to repair 20 smoking generators or leaky tubes. If you repair more than 20 before reporting back, they will count for the next time you take the task. In return, you will receive 1 voting right in the Rathleton Magistrate for every 20 repairs you make.
These repairs are needed all throughout the sewers, but certain spots are better than others for this task. Look for generators and tubes that have dark smoke coming out of them; these are the ones needing repairs. You can find a group of 4 needing repairs just a bit away from Elliott, here. To repair them, simply use them. It takes 2 minutes for a leaky tube or smoking generator to become broken again.
If you're successful at repairing a leaky tube, one of the following messages will appear:

The Powder of the Stars[]
To begin The Powder of the Stars task, locate Barnabas found 2 floors above Flint's armor shop here. Inquire about a Mission you will be asked to gather 15 blue pollens from the Peppermoon Bells and deliver them back to Barnabas. You can find these pollens in abundance within the Oramond Hydra/Bog Raider Cave, situated northwest of Rathleton here.
To collect blue pollens, simply use the Peppermoon Bells located around the Oramond Hydra/Bog Raider Cave. The plants will respawn every 2 minutes. Occasionally, using the plant may leave you temporarily drunk for 10 seconds. Be aware you may gather more than the required 15 blue pollens, as any extra pollens can be saved for subsequent deliveries to Barnabas. Note: The actual item Blue Pollen is not required when reporting this mission back to Barnabas Dee, this means that a friend cannot give you their blue pollens as you must harvest them yourself.
When you use the Peppermoon Bells, one of the following two messages will appear:
- You collected the smelly pollen into a bag.
This appears when you've become intoxicated:
- Achoo! You spill the pollen into your bag.
Once you've gathered the required 15 blue pollens report back to Barnabas Dee by saying Hi - Mission - Yes. By completing this task you will receive 1 voting right in the Rathleton Magistrate for every 15 blue pollens you hand in.
To Take Roots[]
Chavis is collecting Juicy Roots to aid the beggars of Rathleton. For every 5 bundles of Juicy Roots you deliver, you will receive a voting right in the Rathleton Magistrate.
You can either obtain this mission from Chavis in the Commensal House for the Destitute and Homeless (here), or simply begin the task by interacting with a Juicy Root by using it. You can find Juicy Roots in three main areas: the Oramond Marshes, Oramond Minotaur Camp, and the Oramond/Western Plains.
When harvesting a Juicy Root, you can expect one of two outcomes:
Success: You will receive the following message: You successfully harvest some juicy roots.
Failure: You will receive the message: Your harvesting attempt destroyed more of the juicy roots than you could salvage.
In both cases, the Juicy Root will transform into a Harvested Root, and it will take 5 minutes to regrow.
Return to Chavis and report that you've gathered food. Each time you say food, he will accept 5 Juicy Roots and reward you with points accordingly. Even if you have lost the physical Juicy Roots, he will still accept what you've collected and allocate points based on your total harvest. Please be aware that only bundles of Juicy Roots you've personally harvested are eligible for turn-in; other players cannot contribute Juicy Roots on your behalf.
Sabotage[]
You can undertake this mission from Terrence, however it's not mandatory as the task will automatically activate when you interact with the Nozzle for Cowcoa.
Begin by heading to the Oramond Minotaur Camp found here. Upon entering, go east and look for a ramp here. Ascend the ramp and then take another ramp to the south here. South of this second ramp, you'll discover a Mill with a Nozzle for Cowcoa positioned just south of it here. Use the Nozzle for Cowcoa to obtain a Cup of Cowcoa, which has a limited lifespan of 3 minutes. You can acquire additional cups of cowcoa as long as you don't have one in your possession. In other words, you can drop your first cup to obtain another, and you can collect more to be able to destroy more than one Mootant Armor Rack at once.
A nice fresh cup of cowcoa.
Return to the surface and seek out one of the 4 Mootant Armor Racks. Use the Cup of Cowcoa on it to transform it into a Mootant Armor Rack (Destroyed).
The acrid cowcoa reacts with the armor. Whatever it was made of, it is no more.
The Cup of Cowcoa you used will disappear, but if you act quickly, you can utilize another Cup of Cowcoa (if you've collected several) on a different Mootant Armor Rack. Should you fail to destroy the Mootant Armor Rack before the Cup of Cowcoa expires, you'll receive the following message:
The acrid cowcoa has actually corroded its way out of the vessel.
Repeat this process until you have successfully destroyed 10 Mootant Armor Racks. Finally, report your successful sabotage mission to Terrence. In return, you will receive 1 voting right in the Rathleton Magistrate. If you attempt to destroy another armor rack before reporting, you'll fail and receive this message:
You have already sabotaged a fair amount of minotaur gear. Any further attempts will arouse suspicion. Return to a city official.
Dr. Merlay's Misery[]
To begin the Dr. Merlay's Misery task, locate Roswitha in the Rathleton Slum found here. Speak to her to order a Pint of Glooth using the keywords Hi - Pint or Drink. You will receive a Pint of Glooth that you will require shortly. Once you've obtained the Pint of Glooth, you will have a time limit of 10 minutes to reach the entrance of Dr. Merlay's laboratory before the Pint of Glooth transitions into a Pint of Glooth (Green) as it begins to go stale.
Now head north from Roswitha, pass by Fillias, and descend into the Rathleton Ancient Sewers located here. You may need to use the sewer cover to access the sewer entrance. Proceed by walking east and then north. As you pass by Elliott, proceed to descend into the sewer entrance situated just to the north here. Keep going to the east until you reach the platform along the western wall with the ladder. From there, head north to the location marked as here. Descend down the stairs, and then proceed north towards the sewer entrance here. Go ahead and descend into the sewer from there.
At this point, you should use the Pint of Glooth on yourself and it will transform you into a Rot Elemental, this effect will last for 30 seconds. Continue by walking north through the Strange Metal Statues into the laboratory. As you do so, you will earn the Elementary, My Dear Achievement. Afterward, speak with Dr Merlay using Hi - Help - Yes, who appears as a Massive Earth Elemental. He will instruct you that he needs you to hand out letters to some of the citizens of Rathleton.
- First you must speak with Maro found here, Hi - Message - Yes.
- Proceed up two floors to speak with Alaistar using Hi - Letter - Yes. He will hand you a Glooth Potion.
- Continue by heading to Rathletons temple to speak with Azalea Hi - Letter - Yes she will hand you a Soothe Bloom.
- Proceed to Fyodor at the Rathleton Post Office, again say Hi - Letter - Yes.
- Finally proceed to visit Dr Merlays wife Emily, and again say Hi - Letter - Yes.
Note:
- If you wish to keep or loose the Glooth Potion simply drop or deposit the one you had received and return back to Alaistar and say Lost, you can repeat this to obtain as many as you wish.
- If you wish to keep or loose the Soothe Bloom simply drop or deposit the one you had received and return back to Azalea and say Lost, you can repeat this every hour to obtain as many as you wish.
Continue by using the Glooth Potion on the Soothe Bloom to create a Cool Gloothy Mixture.
Return to the laboratory and converse with Dr Merlay. Inform him about the Cool Gloothy Mixture. Next, utilize the Cool Gloothy Mixture on the Particle Accelerator, located in the southwest corner of his laboratory. This action will transform the Cool Gloothy Mixture into an Ominously Glowing Pill. If you wish to keep the Ominously Glowing Pill, you can either drop it or deposit it into your depot prior to reporting back to Dr Merlay.
Finally, speak to Dr Merlay once again to report your success by saying Yes. In return, you will receive 1 voting right in the Rathleton Magistrate.
Nature's Balance[]
Ask Drystan Wildweed for a mission. He wants you to kill a combined total of 200 Glooth Bandits and Glooth Brigands. You can do this in conjunction with Glooth Bandits/Glooth Capsules.
Glooth Capsules[]
This is an extension of The Glooth Bandits mission. You can hand in 10 Glooth Capsules at any time to Elbert by saying hi > yes. Do note that the mission "Glooth bandits" needs to be completed before he accepts the capsules.
You can loot both Glooth Capsules and Tainted Glooth Capsules from Glooth Bandits and Glooth Brigands. Elbert will only accept Glooth Capsules, but if you remove the taint from the Tainted Glooth Capsule he will also accept those. If you have 10 Glooth Capsules, you can give them to Elbert.
In order to convert Tainted Glooth Capsules into Glooth Capsules, you must create a Filled Glooth Converter following the steps of The Mutated Glooth Plague mission. Unlike during The Mutated Glooth Plague mission, the Filled Glooth Converter will not break when you convert the Tainted Glooth Capsules, thus it's a good idea to keep a Filled Glooth Converter stored in your depot to convert all your capsules.
You'll get 1 voting right with the Rathleton Magistrate for every 5 capsules you deliver.
Tending Gloothworms[]
To begin this mission, speak with Wesley located at here. Ask him for a mission, and he will instruct you to retrieve data from the Glooth Data Machine, which is situated north-east of his current position.
Head northeast to find the large Glooth Data Machine. Use the machine from its right side to retrieve the required report.
--- ALERT --- 0001110010110011001 --- ALERT ---
Return to Wesley with the obtained report. Speak with him about the report, and he will provide you with your task for the day. Note that you can complete up to three tasks daily, and these tasks are assigned randomly.
Calibrating the Irrigation Funnels[]
Your task is to calibrate the irrigation funnels. Head northeast of Wesley to the location where you found the machine. Inside the nearby fenced area, use all 7 of the Irrigation Funnels.
Once you've successfully calibrated all the funnels, report back to Wesley.
Fill the Irrigation Funnels[]
Your task is to fill the Irrigation Funnels with distilled water. Begin by heading west of Wesley until you find a Water Distilling Machine. Use the machine to obtain a Vial of Distilled Water. Now, use this distilled water on all 7 Irrigation Funnels located to the northwest of Wesley. Once you've filled all the funnels, report back to Wesley.
Feeding the Worms[]
Your task is to nourish the gloothworms. Begin by heading south-east from Wesley, down into the hole, and then up another hole to the south. On this level, you will encounter Edible Rock Fungus, beware of the Glooth Bandits and Glooth Brigands. Utilize the Hoe you received from Wesley on the fungi to obtain some Fungus Powder, repeat this on 5 Edible Rock Fungus. Note, it takes 1 minute for the Edible Rock Fungus to regrow. Return to Wesley and head north-east. Enter the gloothworm farm and apply the Fungus Powder to the Small Gloothworm Tubes a total of 5 times. Once completed, report back to Wesley.
Rake Away[]
The gloothworm tubes in the area are overrun with excremental floss, and your task is to clean them using the Rake provided by Wesley.
Begin by heading northeast from Wesley into the Gloothworm Farm here. You will need to use the Rake to clean up 10 Small Gloothworm Tubes.
Upon successfully cleaning the 10th tube, you will receive a confirmation message: That's the last of the excrement floss you had to rake away. Return to Wesley to check the gloothworm data.
Return to Wesley and report to him regarding your progress. It's important to note that you need to return the Rake to him as well. He will inform you that if you happen to lose it, you can purchase a replacement from Maro, the local equipment seller.
The Gloud Ship Tasks[]
Milking Spiders[]
Ask Zeronex for the harvesting task. He wants you to obtain 20 Steel Spider Silk samples by milking Spiders (Stee. He will give you a Milking Fork.
Cooking Gloo[]
Ask Zeronex for the concocting task. He wants you to create a Bottle of Airtight Gloo. He will give you a Bottle of Gloo and an Airtight Cloth.
Go to the pharmacy on the west side of Rathleton Workshop Quarter, open the Bookcases on the 2nd and 3rd floors to obtain the 3 ingredients (Glooth Farina, Pink Gloud Essence, Glooth Vinegar). Now go into the building east of the pharmacy and use the Bottle of Gloo on the Glooth Cauldron. Use the Glooth Cauldron repeatedly and follow the prompts until you obtain a Bottle of Airtight Gloo. Take this back to Zeronex and report about your concocting task.
Notes:
- Unlike the corresponding mission, he will give you the Bottle of Gloo - no need to exchange 10 Shrimp for it.
- Receiving the task will reset your quest flags for obtaining the ingredients - even if you didn't use the ingredients last time you can obtain an additional 3 (1 of each). Obtaining them each run will avoid unnecessary trips to the pharmacy when later concoctions require more than one of the same ingredient.
- This task yields 1 voting point and there doesn't seem to be any limit on the amount of tasks done.
Gassing Up[]
Ask Zeronex for the retrieving task. Zeronex will give you a Gas Bag. Go to the Underground Glooth Factory and head to the far west-southwest to Zeronex's laboratory. Use the 3 machines in the north, west, and north-west of his laboratory until each of them are calibrated, as indicated by the server message. When they are all calibrated, use the Gas Bag on the center machine to fill it up. Now go back to Zeronex and report about your retrieving task.
