Noob Set

Noob Set was a term often used to collectively refer the equipment a player first upgraded to upon leaving Rookgaard. A typical Noob Set is shown at right. Depending on weapon type preference, a Orcish Axe, Spike Sword or Serpent Sword, or Bow may be substituted. For Sorcerers, this item is often a Wand of Vortex and for Druids, the Snakebite Rod. As a player improves his skills, gains some levels and saves more money, he will consider upgrading to the Plate Set. With the implementation of the Island of Destiny and later Dawnport, better sets began to be given for free for players going to mainland.

NOTE: The Scarf was often sold to non-premium players for much more than it could be bought in store in Edron. This is no longer the case because it's now a free item from the setssin the Island of Destiny.

Wearing a "Noob Set" does not necessarily imply that a player is a "noob," merely that he either cannot yet afford better equipment, or that due to his low level, it would not be practical to carry better (and much heavier) equipment.
