The Average Loot Value shown above the Loot Table of creatures and bosses is an estimation of the average gold obtained when killing that creature, based on the drop rates from TibiaWiki's Loot Statistics.
This value only takes into account the value of each item based on how much NPCs pay for them, with a few exceptions (shown below). For this reason, this estimation doesn't correspond well to bosses in general, specially those which drop rare equipment which is sold to other players using The Market. These items are not included since their price vary between servers and even in the same game world. Furthermore, the loot statistics for bosses is a lot less precise due to the much lower number of kills.
It's important to note that a creature with a higher Average Loot Value is not necessarily more profitable than a creature with similar but lower value, for many reasons:
- Some items are not worth picking up due to their high weight and low price. These varies greatly between hunting locations, styles and player's preferences, and can't be taken into account in a simple formula.
- Other items are frequent drops and have a much higher real value than NPCs pay for them. The most common examples are Creature Products which are used for Imbuing.
- The cost to kill a creature will, of course, affect the profit of the hunt. This includes the creature's HP, resistances, damage output as well as whether it's being hunted one by one or many at a time with AoE attacks, solo or by a team etc.

The exception to the rules are Potions, because even though they are not bought by NPCs, their frequent use makes their value identical or very close to the NPC selling price. For this reason, the value considered for the potions below is the value NPCs sell them for.
- Mana Potion
- Strong Mana Potion
- Great Mana Potion
- Ultimate Mana Potion
- Ultimate Health Potion
- Supreme Health Potion
- Great Spirit Potion
- Ultimate Spirit Potion
The regular, strong and great Health potions are not included since they are not used by many players and thus their real value is far below the NPC selling price.
