This creature was added with the Christmas Update 2009. As of Summer Update 2010, this creature can be skinned to obtain Lizard Leather.

Strategy
These Lizards keep their distance, making it hard to kill in melee since chasing it will lure you into more of them. So try to trap them somewhere, or the waste will be higher.
