If you're buying large amounts ("stocking up" - meaning, a few hundred or more) to keep in a deposit box for manasitting, then it's probably worth a trip to Yalahar to buy some ham.
If you simply want the most economical, i.e cheapest food per manapoint, from the town you're in at the time, the full table (above) may not be too helpful (because it's based on the lowest possible price, while the city you're in may have a different price).
