A hot dog attacks in melee range. A hot dog never retreats.
Strategy
This monster is kind of harmless, and its wave attack is useful to damage other monsters, so try killing it last. Since its wave is its strongest attack, try to stay diagonal. Usually found with Doom Deer and Vampire Pigs. Try to make it face the Deer and vice-versa and it'll damage both monsters and make your job a lot easier.
