A War Against the Hive is being fought. If the Hive is weakened, it may be possible to advance further into it.
All Hive Born creatures.
If enough actions against the Hive Born are taken, its defenses may be breached and access to the inner Hive will be opened. In order to change the Hive stage, tasks of the War Against the Hive Quest must be completed. This World Change have three possible stages which change at the Server Save of the Game World:
This is the default stage and the Hive will remain this way unless actions against it are taken. There are 4 different tasks which can be done, each one being worth one point. The server needs 200 total points to advance to the second stage.
During the second stage, the eastern part of the inner Hive becomes accessible. During this stage there are two other tasks that can be completed and are worth 2 points each. In order to advance to the next and final stage, another 200 actions are necessary. If this is not done after 3? days, the Hive will return to the first stage.
At this stage it's also possible to enter some reward rooms to obtain Gooey Masses from Insectoid Cells. Note that in order to enter the rooms you need to speak to Orockle (reward, yes) and spend 50 Favour Points of the quest (gained through completing the tasks). Orockle will use a special pheromone on you that allows you to go through the Hive Gates on all floors for 7 days.
Or if X is greater than 200:
During this stage, the Hive is completely exposed and the western side of the inner Hive is also accessible. If you have the pheromone from Orockle, you'll have access to other reward rooms with Gooey Masses as well as the room of the Insectoid Outfits Quest. The western side is also home of the Hive Born Bosses Chopper, Fleshslicer, Maw, Mindmasher, Rotspit and Shadowstalker which may drop special Dung Balls worth 10 War Exp. of the War Against the Hive Quest each. Fianlly, Ladybugs may also be found on the ground floor of the Hive during this stage. This stage can last from 4 to 7 days depending on the number of actions taken against the hive during it (needs confirmation).
