Rent a Horse from Appaloosa at the Venore horse station or from Palomino at the Thais horse station for 500 gold. A rented horse lasts for 24 Real Life hours. It is the only non-Market mount available for Free Account players, but it is temporary. To get this mount, the server must have triggered the world change involving the rounding up of escaped horses.
There are three rented horse variants:
