Feared Icon Feared is a Special Condition where your character will start moving towards the direction it's facing, and you won't be able to use any spells and equip gears like rings and amulets. However, it is still possible to use items like potions and runes.

In order to avoid a combined effect on a party, in a party of up to 5 players, only one member can be feared at a time. If the party consists of 6 to 10 players, only 2 members can be feared at a time, and so on.

How to get Feared[]

Soul War[]

This condition was first introduced with the Soul War Quest:

Note: for the Soul War area, the fear spell is actually used 2-3 seconds before it takes effect. When the creature uses the spell, the Ghost Smoke Effect Ghost Smoke Effect appears on the creature. When the Fear actually takes place on the character, the Blue Ghost Effect Blue Ghost Effect appears on the character. If the creature changes targets between these two effects, the new target will be feared.

Drome[]

When the Tibiadrome was implemented, it also made it possible to get feared when the modifier Sown Sorrow is enabled.

Tibia's 25th Anniversary[]

During the Tibia's 25th Anniversary, it was possible to be feared by some of the bosses available during the event.

Gnomprona[]

The Summer Update 2022 introduced two creatures in the Gnomprona hunting areas that can cause the condition: Fungosaurus, and Shrieking Cry-Stal.

Doctor Marrow[]

The Winter Update 2022 introduced a boss that causes this condition: Doctor Marrow.

Rotten Blood[]

The Summer Update 2023 introduced new bosses that curse players with Bakragore's Taints once defeated. All creatures afflict players with fear once players are cursed by the final taint and at least three of the standard taints in the area.

Dealing with the Feared condition[]

Feared condition can not be removed, you have to wait until it wears off.

However, feared characters will not run through elemental fields. Therefore, a good strategy to avoid part of its effects is to throw bomb runes under your feet (such as Fire Bombs), which will prevent your character from running away when feared. The other effects still take place, but this helps maintaining your position.

Another common strategy is to use a Magic Wall Rune to save a tile next your character and prevent being completely trapped by creatures, although this may not always work since some Soul War creatures can destroy these objects.
