Whenever you drink alcohol in Tibia, you will get drunk.
While being drunk you will have this icon in your status bar 
As long as you are drunk, you are unable to completely control your movement (you will not walk the way you wanted to walk). Being drunk while fighting creatures can result in severe injuries, or even death.
Be aware when hunting Djinns, Assassins, Wyverns, Dworc Voodoomaster, Cults and some Quaras. They will induce the drunk status upon a character. Wearing a Dwarven Ring is beneficial when hunting these, as it protects against the effects of drunkenness.
