Members of elvish caste of the Deraisim are scouts and hunters that live in Ab'Dendriel. You may find them on the ground level of the city. Two other casts from the elves of the City: the Cenath and the Kuridai. Three lost elfish castes are: the Abdaisim, the Teshial and the Chelabdil.

In the days of old wars, the Deraisim had lost their home and became wanderers, hiding in the woods, but adapting a nomadic style of life. Some families used to travel together, live for a short period of time before an area could no longer support them. They were hunted and were always outnumbered, so they retrated to the deeper woods. During this time they met several races and cultures, and developed a cautious trading with them at the time they built several trading post that served as temporal residence as well. When the wars reached some of those other races, the Deraisim retreated and tried to live by themselves on some of the trading post on a semipermanent way. Finally, they reunited with the Cenath, who had just lost their home and the majority of the Deraisim were covinced to adopt the sedentary live and the teachings of the Cenath, while hunting and providing food and protection for them. Thus, the major trading post became the city of Ab'dendriel. Part of the Deraisim were not convinced on settling down on a permanent area and decided to continue as nomads, giving birth to the Abdaisim caste. However the city of Ab'dendriel was still weak and had low defenses against attacks, while lots of nomads still visited the city, as the dwarves were aware of and registered in this book. Finally, time later, the pressure of the orcish hordes led the Kuridai caste to make contact and form and alliance with the Cenath/Deraisim, moving in to Ab'dendriel. This resulted in an increased security of the city and stability the elves had not seen in several hundreds of years.

The current leader of the Deraisim is Faluae; other known mambers are Irea, Brasith and Anerui.

What People have to say about the Deraisim caste[]

They perceive themselves to be in tune with nature and are needed to help other castes. The Cenath see them as providers that need guidance while the Kuridai think they are useless, cowards or simply a waste of talent due to their passivity.

Player: Deraisim
Olrik: They are so familiar with the woods and move with unparalleled grace.
Elf Guard: The Deraisim are scouts and hunters. You may find them on the groundlevel of the city.
Maealil: Unfortunately they are to busy to care for the finer things in life.
Elvith: The other Deraisim are much too concerned with mastering nature, and so they don't listen to its music anymore.
Irea: My people love the woods.
Llathriel: Our Deraisim brothers and sisters are skilled huntsmen and providers of food.
Brasith: We still have much to learn but we are on the correct path at least.
Faluae: We only stay here to keep our people together. We hunt for them, provide them with food, and scout the area.
Roderick: I look forward to improving our relations with them.
Briasol: They hunt for us and patrol the woods.
Shanar: Squirrels.
Bashira: Useless leaf-eaters.
Anerui: We try to live in harmony with the forces of nature.
Eroth: They lack the understanding of unity. We are keeping them together and prevent them from being slaughtered one by one.
Shiriel: They lack the patience that suits a race with our lifespan.
Elathriel: Confused cowards. For all their skill, they still tend to hide and run. What a waste.
Edowir: One could call the Deraisim the scouts and rangers of elvenkind. Although all elves are formidable in that area, the Deraisim excel them all.
