Dawnport is the new beginner's island, first mentioned on August 21, 2014 and implemented in Update 10.55. It is located westsouthwest of Ghostlands, here.

Dawnport aims to introduce the player to the game by allowing them to test each vocation to get a feel before they make their final decision. In addition, there are many areas to explore, a few quests and tasks to complete and a wide variety of creatures to hunt.

Dawnport replaces Rookgaard as the beginner's island, but Rookgaard still remains accessible to accounts with at least one character on Mainland already. To get there, simply say Rookgaard to Inigo and reply yes twice.

Unlike Rookgaard, there is no premium area in Dawnport. All players can access all areas. Players must leave Dawnport when they hit level 20, but they can leave as early as level 8. When you die on Dawnport, you will keep all your items, unless you are level 8 or higher, in which case the usual death penalty applies.

Vocations

Dawnport was created for new players to test the vocations. This means changing vocations is possible. They can do this by leaving the town in one of four directions:

Depending on which way you go, you will automatically receive a vocation, to test if it suits you. Each vocation receives a set to start them off. If they change vocations, they will lose the original equipment pieces (weapon and shield) and gain new ones. The items gained are:

Note that players can become each vocation and obtain a total of 100 Simple Arrows, 4 Meat, 5 Light Stone Shower Runes, 5 Lightest Missile Runes, 27 Mana Potions, 21 Small Health Potions to use, as these are not reclaimed when changing vocations, but you cannot claim more than one lot of supplies. An exception to this is the 100 Simple Arrows: you can obtain another stack every 10? minutes by changing to any other vocation and changing back to Paladin.

All vocations will receive spells as well. These basic spells will be carried on to mainland. More spells can be tried out for free from level 8 onward from the NPCs in the Adventurers' Outpost. For more information see the spells section below.

Spells

The following spells are learned by all players, when they become a vocation. These spells will be swapped upon leaving the Adventurers' Outpost through the respective vocation gate. Since November 19, 2014, they are also available for free from respective spell trainers in major mainland cities, thanks to a successful proposal by Trimegis. This was done to address the issue of characters leaving Dawnport with spells irrelevant to their vocation, as well as to allow older characters fair access to those spells.

In addition, all players can learn spells for free on Dawnport, if they meet the required level, from 8 to 18. Druids and Sorcerers can try out spells offered by Garamond, while Paladins and Knights can try out spells offered by Ser Tybald, both on the third floor of the outpost. Note that spells obtained from Garamond and Ser Tybald will be removed from your spellbook upon leaving Dawnport. The following is a list of spells they can teach.

Hunting Places

Dawnport has a lot of caves with a large variety of creatures, many of them unique to Dawnport. The small civilization is located in the heart of Dawnport Mountain, which has a hunting ground immediately outside.

There is a Crypt to the east, a Minotaur Mine to the west, a Goblin Cave south-east, and an Orc Cave directly below Dawnport.

Many of these hunting places require a Shovel. You do not start with one, so it is highly recommended you purchase one before looking for hunting places, or better yet, loot one from a Troll-Trained Salamander.

Items

As the new beginner island, it is impossible to bring items here from the Mainland. As such, players may be interested in the items that can be obtained on this island. The items obtained through bugs are listed in the History section.

Helmets

NameNotes
Leather HelmetLeather HelmetIt's probably the first helmet someone finds or purchases. It is part of the Leather Set.
Chain HelmetChain HelmetAlthough the Studded Helmet is more expensive and it has the same defense value as the Chain Helmet, many prefer the Studded Helmet because it is lighter. Part of the Chain Set.
Studded HelmetStudded HelmetHas the same armor as a Chain Helmet but it's lighter. Part of the Studded Set.
Brass HelmetBrass HelmetUseful helmet for players in Rookgaard, also part of the Brass Set. Obtainable from the Bear Room Quest in Rookgaard.
Viking HelmetViking HelmetThe Viking Helmet provides as much armor as the Legion Helmet but weighs more, it's a good item for bringing to mainland and selling it there. It is part of the Viking Set. It is common to find this helmet in the Skeleton tomb, which can be accessed by digging a hole in the middle grave, located here. This item can be obtained in the Katana Quest in Rookgaard.
Legion HelmetLegion HelmetThis is the best helmet in Rookgaard, it has the same defense value as a Viking Helmet but is lighter. After Christmas Update 2009 the value of Legion Helmet rose steeply because they are not dropped by Rotworms anymore but still needed for an outfit quest.

One is required for an addon of the Citizen Outfits Quest, both the mainland and Rookgaard quests. If you want to make the addon, it is recommended to get this helmet while still in Rookgaard.
This item can be obtained in the Dragon Corpse Quest, or the Present Box Quest in Rookgaard.

It can also be obtained in Dawnport through the Dawnport Legion Helmet Quest.

Armors

NameNotes
CoatCoatNone. Obtainable in The Beginning Quest.
JacketJacketNone. Can be obtained by skipping The Beginning Quest.

Leather ArmorLeather ArmorGood for early levels on Rookgaard. Part of the Leather Set.
Studded ArmorStudded ArmorA good armor for medium levels in Rookgaard. Part of the Studded Set.
Chain ArmorChain ArmorThe best armor in Rookgaard, although some people still prefer to use the Studded Armor because it is lighter. In Main it's good to stuff in Lootbags. Part of the Chain Set. This can also be gotten by unrusting a Heavily Rusted Armor and Rusted Armor. Obtainable in the Bear Room Quest, in Rookgaard.

Legs

NameNotes
Leather LegsLeather LegsOne of the first items you'll own.
Looks the same as Smelly Leather Legs.
Studded LegsStudded LegsAs the strongest defensive legs in Rookgaard, they can be valued highly. Part of the Studded Set. They can be gotten by unrusting Heavily Rusted Legs and Rusted Legs. Can be obtained on Rookgaard in the Studded Legs Quest.

Boots

NameNotes
Leather BootsLeather BootsThe most common boots. They can usually be found in great numbers on the floor of certain caves or inside weak monsters such as Trolls. In Rookgaard, they have some value to lower levels.

Shields and Spellbooks

NameNotes
Spellbook of the NoviceSpellbook of the NoviceThe weakest spellbook of all. You receive it on the Dawnport to practice Druid and Sorcerer vocations. It's advised to switch it with a Wooden Shield from Knight's gate as their def makes a lot of difference. You cannot take it with yourself to the Mainland, however some people still own multiple copies there from exploiting the bugs in the beginning of Dawnport existance.
Wooden ShieldWooden ShieldThe first shield you may find in tibia, as well as being the weakest shield. Common lootbag item for lower levels.
Studded ShieldStudded ShieldA good shield for early levels in Rookgaard. Also a Quest reward. Part of Studded Set.
Brass ShieldBrass ShieldThird best shield in Rookgaard. Part of the Brass Set.
Plate ShieldPlate ShieldIt's the second best shield in Rookgaard. It can be obtained by killing fierce Minotaurs. It is a common lootbag item, with a slightly worse gp/oz ratio than a Chain Armor. Can be obtained by Unrusting a Slightly Rusted Shield.

Weapons

Axes

NameNotes
Hand AxeHand AxeA useful weapon for knights to train with; it is the second weakest axe weapon.
AxeAxeNot very useful, however cheap to buy in Rookgaard for lower levels.
HatchetHatchetThe best axe weapon found on the island of Rookgard. Despite it being heavy, it is still a great source of money for those desperate low levels in need of cash. Hatchets can normally be found all over the ground in hunting areas, making it easy to gather them without much effort.

Swords

NameNotes
DaggerDaggerOne of the weakest swords in the game, primarily used for training, either with another player or by slow-killing weak monsters with it.
RapierRapierThe rapier is slightly stronger than a knife or dagger, but arguably less common because only Frost Trolls drop it.

It looks the same as a Light Rapier.

You can also get it in Rookgaard through the Rapier Quest.
Short SwordShort SwordSometimes used by lower levels in Rookgaard. Obtainable in Amber's Lost Notebook Quest.
MacheteMacheteMachetes can be used to cut down Wild Growths, Jungle Grass, and Venorean Spice. This item can be used to cut 100 Jungle Grass in order to gain Nothing Can Stop Me achievement. Secret Agent Tools can be used as a machete.
SabreSabreA mediocre weapon for beginners. Probably one of the first stronger weapons a new player will obtain on Rookgaard. Used to look the same as the Ron the Ripper's Sabre until 8.6, Ron the Ripper's Sabre sprite changed.
SwordSwordIt can be used in Rookgaard, although people prefer Katanas than Swords. It is the third best sword in Rookgaard. Used in the Desert Dungeon Quest.
LongswordLongswordGood weapon for lower levels, as well a good loot item when sold to the right shopkeeper.

Clubs

NameNotes
Studded ClubStudded ClubA slightly stronger version of the Club. Useful to players on Rookgaard who want to specialize in Clubs but have not yet gotten a Mace. Part of the Studded Set.
Bone ClubBone ClubNot very useful. Considered a rare to some on Rookgaard. Part of Bone Set.
MaceMaceThe Mace is one of the most commonly used Rookgaard weapons, and is often an abundant item in large loot bags on the Mainland. It is often dropped by Skeletons and it's easy to sell in Rookgaard, since it's the best club weapon there.
Swampling ClubSwampling ClubA rather useless club, marginally better than a Mace, it mostly just exists to be looted and sold to NPCs for money.

Wands

NameNotes
The ScorcherThe ScorcherThe weakest of all wands. You receive it to practice the Sorcerer vocation on Dawnport. You cannot take it with yourself to the Mainland, however some people still own multiple copies there from exploiting the bugs in the beginning of Dawnport existence.
Wand of VortexWand of VortexThe sorcerer's equivalent of the druid's Snakebite Rod and the lowest-levelled wand available on the mainland. Provides 2 sqm of blue light. A rather effective weapon, as low level monsters are usually not resistant to energy damage. Wands of Vortex replaced Blue Spell Wand Blue Spell Wands in the Winter Update 2005. Looks the same as Xodet's First Wand and the Sorc and Druid Staff. Needed for Mage Outfits Quest (male) and Summoner Outfits Quest (female).
Wand of DragonbreathWand of DragonbreathAn upgrade from the Wand of Vortex and the second weakest wand available on the mainland. It is the sorcerer's equivalent of the druid's Moonlight Rod. Provides 2 sqm of red light. Wands of Dragonbreath replaced Red Spell Wand Red Spell Wands in the Winter Update 2005. Needed for Mage Outfits Quest (male) and Summoner Outfits Quest (female).
Wand of DecayWand of DecayAn upgrade from the Wand of Dragonbreath and the sorcerer's equivalent of the druid's Necrotic Rod. However, many sorcerers prefer to wait until they can use the Wand of Draconia, since at a lower level fire is a more useful element than death. Provides 2 sqm of green light. Wands of Decay replaced Wand of Plague Wands of Plague in the Winter Update 2007. Needed for Mage Outfits Quest (male) and Summoner Outfits Quest (female).

Rods

NameNotes
The ChillerThe ChillerThe weakest of all rods. You receive it to practice the Druid vocation on Dawnport. You cannot take it with yourself to the Mainland, however some people still own multiple copies there from exploiting the bugs in the beginning of Dawnport existence.
Snakebite RodSnakebite RodThe druid's equivalent of the sorcerer's Wand of Vortex and the lowest-levelled rod available on the mainland. A rather ineffective weapon, as a lot of monsters, even the weakest, are resistant or outright immune to earth damage. Snakebite Rods replaced Golden Wand Golden Wands in the Winter Update 2005. Needed for Mage Outfits Quest(male) and Summoner Outfits Quest(female).
Moonlight RodMoonlight RodAn upgrade from the Snakebite Rod and the second weakest rod available on the mainland. It is the druid's equivalent of the sorcerer's Wand of Dragonbreath. Moonlight Rods replaced Conjurer Wand Conjurer Wands in the Winter Update 2005. They used to deal energy damage, but the magic reform in the Winter Update 2007 changed their type of damage dealt to ice. Needed for Mage Outfits Quest (male) and Summoner Outfits Quest (female).
Necrotic RodNecrotic RodAn upgrade from the Moonlight Rod and the druid's equivalent of the sorcerer's Wand of Decay. However, many druids prefer to wait until they can use the Northwind Rod, since ice is generally a more useful element than death. Necrotic Rods replaced Volcanic Rod Volcanic Rods in the Winter Update 2007. Needed for Mage Outfits Quest (male) and Summoner Outfits Quest (female).

Distance

NameNotes
BowBowHas a range of 6 square tiles and is used to fire a variety of Ammunition. Bows are often used as a lootbag item because they are very valuable. Can be obtained through the Dead Archer Quest.
CrossbowCrossbowHas a range of 5 square tiles around the user and is one of the primary weapons for Paladins along with the Bow, and is used to fire a variety of ammunition.
SpearSpearYou need a spear to create an Enchanted Spear. Spears will break about 3.075% of the time. Break percentage was tested on training dummies for multiple hours, so it should be accurate.

Once the paladin meets level requirements, spears should be discarded in favour of employing far superior Hunting Spears.

Looks the same as a Mean Paladin Spear and a Giant Screwdriver.
Small StoneSmall StoneThe weak attack rating makes them useless as a primary weapon, however, this same characteristic makes them ideal to train with, and these are frequently used by paladins to train their distance skill.

Experiments show that, on average, 3 out of a 100 small stones will break when used. These have the identical range of throwing stars.

The easiest way of getting small stones is by hunting apes. Sibangs drop them quite frequently. Earth Elemental also drop nice amounts, but are considerably stronger to defeat. Note that if small stones are cheaper than 36 gp/piece it might not be worth looting them if you are low on cap.

Ammunition

NameNotes
Simple ArrowSimple ArrowPlayers will receive 100 of these arrows when going through the Paladin gate on Dawnport the first time.
You can create 3 with Arrow Call.
ArrowArrowArrows are projectiles, fired out of a Bow, they are used mainly by Paladins. Paladins can make 10 of them by casting the Conjure Arrow spell (1 soul point spent).

Can be obtained in Rookgaard through the Minotaur Hell Quest and Bear Room Quest.

12 of these are needed for The Postman Missions Quest.
Poison ArrowPoison ArrowCauses physical damage. When a target is injured by the arrow it will be poisoned for 33 turns (4 seconds per turn). Poison damage starts at 3 HP for 4 turns, followed by 9 turns with 2 HP and 20 turns with 1 HP each, which adds up to 50 HP over a period of 2 minutes and 12 seconds.

An article from Tibianews, published on October 21, 2007, suggested that the attack rate for Poison Arrow is 22. Previously it has been believed that the attack rate is 20.

Can be obtained in Rookgaard through the Minotaur Hell Quest. Also obtainable in Dragon Tower Quest, Poison Daggers Quest and Dead Archer Quest.

BoltBoltBolts are projectiles, fired with any type of Crossbow, usually by Paladins. Until the Summer Update 2007 - which introduced the new spears - they were the most popular ammunition of Paladins.

Amulets and Necklaces

NameNotes
Bronze AmuletBronze AmuletReduces mana drain by up to 20%. It has 200 charges. Considered rare and valuable in Rookgaard. Very useful when fighting monsters that drain mana, as it is almost surely to make up for its cost. Some monsters that can deal a lot of mana drain damage are: all kinds of Bonelords, Demons, Dwarf Geomancers, Hands of Cursed Fate, Spectres, Dipthrah, Priestesses, Warlocks. One can be obtained in the Power Ring Quest.
Silver AmuletSilver AmuletReduces earth damage by exactly 10%, rounded up to the nearest whole number. The earth damage animation is replaced by a spark animation if the damage is reduced to 0.

Item obtained in Edron Goblin Quest, Thais Silver Amulet Quest.
Item used in The Scatterbrained Sorcerer Quest.

This item can be found in a crate inside a cave to the east of Thais.

Rings

NameNotes
Dwarven RingDwarven RingThe Dwarven Ring prevents drunkenness and has energy for 60 minutes. It is helpful in slaying monsters that make you drunk, such as Assassins, Cyclops Smiths, Cults, Djinns, Dworc Voodoomasters and Wyverns.

Note that the character does not become sober, but the effects of drunkenness are inactive while the ring is worn: your character remains drunk. Thus, taking the ring off after you have killed all drunkenness-causing creatures will still render your character incapacitated.

In addition to the loot from various creatures, they can also be found inside Usable crates that are around Thais, Yalahar and Edron.

Can be acquired by completing the Geomancer Quest, Waterfall Quest, Skull of Ratha Quest and Triangle Tower Quest.

Tools

NameNotes
RopeRopeThe rope is the most commonly used tool in Tibia. Ropes are used to pull oneself up from a hole. Ropes work by using them on tiles called "rope spots" which typically have a dark center. Not all holes have a rope spot, and not all rope spots are under a hole. It is possible to rope items and other players, but it is no longer possible to rope a creature. It is also possible to use a rope in the same way on a Ladder, although in this case, it's only possible to rope an item or another player, you can't rope yourself. Alternatives to the standard rope are the Elvenhair Rope, the Secret Agent Tools and the Magic Rope spell. Note that each of these items may have their own unique properties. The spell, for example, cannot be used to rope other players or items.

According to the book Adventurer's Guide to the Dungeons from the Jakundaf Desert Library, a rope consists of many rat-tails tied together and it should never be missing in an adventurer's inventory. New players start at Dawnport with one in their backpack.

One can be obtained from a Chest in Edron's basement, here.
ShovelShovelShovels are very useful for opening holes in Loose Stone Piles or digging through sand in the desert. A necessity for most trips, but only one member of a team needs to bring one. Can usually be found littering the ground in the Kazordoon Dwarf Mines. It does the same duty as its lighter counter part, the Light Shovel. This item is no longer available from Dixi or Obi, since they became specialised dealers in weapons and armors.

Sneaky Stabber of Eliteness, Squeezing Gear of Girlpower and Whacking Driller of Fate can be used as a shovel.

One shovel can be seen in Al's Shop in Rookgaard.

Can be gotten through The Beginning Quest.

This item can be used to open 500 Loose Stone Piles in order to gain the achievement The Undertaker.
PickPickPicks are used to open holes in unusual places, such as random squares of mud. It can also sometimes destroy stones or use it to open fishing holes in ice. For a list of known places where you can open a hole with a pick, take a look here: List of Pickeable Holes.

All of the three Secret Agent Tools can be used as a pick.
Needed in a mission of The Ice Islands Quest.
Needed in a mission of Kissing a Pig Quest.
Item obtainable in the Small Axe Quest and The Rookie Guard Quest.

Needed to obtain Key 4601 in Rookgaard.
Fishing RodFishing RodFishing rods are used to fish. The more you use a rod, the higher your fishing skill becomes. Only some squares of water contains fish at any given time, and once a fish is caught from a square, it will take around 30 minutes for it to respawn. Fishing is the only skill that is not related to combat.

As of the Summer Update 2005, you will also need worms in order to catch fish. It is also a quite good lootbag item.
One fishing rod can be seen in Al's Shop in Rookgaard.

Needed for the Demon's Lullaby World Quest.
WormWormWorms are needed to Fish. They were previously sold in sixpacks for 5 gp each. Looks the same as an Enraged Bookworm, which becomes a Worm itself when it dies. The worm image changes depending on the stack size:
  • 1 worm Worm 1
  • 2 worms Worm 2
  • 3 worms Worm 3
  • 4 worms Worm 4
  • 5–9 worms Worm 5-9
  • 10–24 worms Worm 10-24
  • 25–49 worms Worm 25-49
  • 50–100 worms Worm 50-100
Needed for the Demon's Lullaby World Quest.
TorchTorchThis torch can be Lit in order to provide light for up to 20 minutes. As the torch is used, the light gets weaker and the torch shorter. This first stage of the torch lasts for 10 minutes while lit, when it becomes a Torch (Medium).

It was once a very useful item before the client had the option to set the ambient light off. People always carried one of these in their belt to save mana in hunts from casting light spells. Since the ambient light feature was implemented, torches were left behind, and nowadays they are almost completely useless.

Obtainable in The Beginning Quest.
Magic Light WandMagic Light WandIt is one of the only remaining Older Wands. Not used as much anymore since the Ambient Light update. This item is considered rare on Rookgaard, because the only monster there that drops this item is the rare boss Apprentice Sheng.

When it is lit, it will turn into a Magic Light Wand (Lit), provide 8 squares of white light, and look like this: Magic Light Wand (Lit)

Can be obtained through the Voodoo Doll Quest, The Desert Dungeon Quest and the Orc Shaman Quest.

Food

NameNotes
BeetrootBeetroot

2 of them are needed for the Hot Cuisine Quest

BlueberryBlueberryThey can be picked in the wild on Blueberry Bushes, before you can pick them you need to "Use" the bush. There should be only 3 berries left to pick. Still, sometimes other players "use" the Blueberry Bush and don't take them with themselves. Thus, there can be up to six blueberries in a bush. One hour is needed since the last player that used the bush for it to grow back the blueberries.

It looks the same as a Headache Pill.

After using Blueberry Bushes 500 times, you will earn the achievement Bluebarian.
BreadBreadBread can be made from dough (oddly, a loaf of bread weighs 5 oz., but a lump of dough only weighs 1 oz.) Also, if you're a Druid, you can make bread by casting the spell exevo pan.

Looks the same as Garlic Bread and the Stale Bread of Ancientness.

How to make bread
To make bread, you need...

  1. Get water into a trough or bucket. Water can be extracted from an above ground Shallow Water (eg. the sea), a Draw Well or a Fountain. Buckets and troughs are quite common around draw wells, but troughs cannot be carried. Bottles that can be bought in shops are lighter than buckets and can also be used as intermediary containers to carry water.
  2. Use flour with water. You will get a Lump of Dough.
  3. Use the lump of dough with an oven. You will get your Bread.
CarrotCarrotIt looks the same as The Carrot of Doom and a Pointed Rabbitslayer. Can be found at several daily spawns. 27 of them are needed in the Hot Cuisine Quest.
CheeseCheeseQuick way to earn some cash on Rookgaard, collect cheese and sell them for 2 gp each. After Summer Update 2008 it´s finally stackable. 3 of these are required for the Hot Cuisine Quest.
CherryCherrySemi-rare item in Rookgaard. Can be found at daily spawns in a house south of Thais Trolls. Needed in The Paradox Tower Quest.

Runes

NameNotes
Blank RuneBlank RuneDruids, Sorcerers and Paladins can use blank runes to create spell runes. Since Summer Update 2010, it is not necessary to have the blank rune in your hand, you can simply have it in your backpack and then cast the rune spell.
Say sell rune to NPC A Prisoner and he will tell you he is willing to buy this item off you for 50,000 gp. He ends up paying you a mere 10 gp once you go through with the trade, though.
Lightest Missile RuneLightest Missile Rune
Light Stone Shower RuneLight Stone Shower RunePoisoned Icon Shoots an earth attack that covers a small circular area around the target. The character using this rune is never affected by it. This is the only area attack rune available in Dawnport.
Poison Field RunePoison Field RunePoisoned Icon Creates a poison cloud which deals an initial damage of 5 per hit. Total damage is 105 hitpoints (5 turns of 5 hp, 5 rounds of 4, 7 rounds of 3, 10 rounds of 2 and 19 rounds of 1) untill damage stops (when not healed).
This rune may be useful to block certain monsters in PvP worlds. However it is useless against anyone over level 10 as they can easily just use exana pox to heal themselves from the poison damage.

A poison field lasts for 4 minutes and 8 seconds.

For the spell, see Poison Field.
Fire Field RuneFire Field RuneBurned Icon Creates a Fire Field.
This rune is frequently used in PvP worlds by PKers to trap people and sometimes on Optional PvP worlds to Scam people.

Every time you step on a fire field you will receive 20 fire damage. You will then be burning and receive 10 fire damage over 7 turns, each 9 seconds. For a total of 90 health lost in 1 minute.
This field spell is useful as a secondary attack rune that helps speed up killing players and monsters. This fire field also provides more light if compared to the other field spells. Quite useful as this field rune provides the most damage for a single hit but it takes long for all the damage to kick in, if you want fast damage use Energy Field.

The first stage of the fire field lasts 3:20; the second stage lasts for 2:28; the last stage (that does not block a monster) lasts 1:38. Total time that a fire field will block a monster is 5:48.

For the spell, see Fire Field.
Energy Field RuneEnergy Field RuneElectrified Icon Creates an energy field, initial damage of 30 and followed by 25 addtional damage once the field is left.
This rune may be useful to block certain monsters. The energy field will last for 1 minute 38 seconds.
For the spell, see Energy Field.
Destroy Field RuneDestroy Field RuneDestroys fire, poison and energy fields, from any distance as long there's nothing blocking the path.
This rune is useful to escape from PK traps in PvP worlds and is needed in a couple of quests. Previously it could be used to loot monsters that may be under the fields layed by other monsters until the introduction of the Quick Looting mechanic, rendering this rune's usage still possible but obsolete.
For the spell, see Destroy Field.
Intense Healing Rune (Item)Intense Healing Rune (Item)Heals target better than Light Healing.
This rune is not commonly used. This rune should not be used often, if at all, by knights due to their low magic level affecting the potency of the rune and the higher healing potential of the Health Potion. However, this rune is useful to use on summoned or convinced creatures, due to its ease of creation and higher healing potency of the vocations that summon or convince. It costs 4000 Soul Points per Backpack.
For the spell, see Intense Healing Rune.
Cure Poison Rune (Item)Cure Poison Rune (Item)Cures the target from Poison.
This rune is not used much after level 10 as any vocation can use the Cure Poison spell instead.

This could be useful to have one to heal you when you get poisoned and you don't have Mana for the Cure Poison spell.

Once were able to buy this rune in Rookgaard from Lily. But since the update they have removed the item instead a player can buy an Antidote Potion from her.

Some characters still have the rune in Rookgaard making it a collectors item.

For the spell, see Cure Poison Rune.
Convince Creature RuneConvince Creature RuneConvinces a creatures to help you.
Convince Creature and Paralyze are the only runes that need mana to be used.
The mana required to use this rune varies depending upon the creature that you want to convince.
There are some creatures that cannot be convinced and some creatures that can only be convinced (cannot be summoned). You also cannot convince monster summoned by someone else.
For the spell, see Convince Creature.

History

10.55

  • Initial implementation.

10.56

  • Several bugs were fixed:
    • Players can no longer throw items from the boat to the other side, preventing the Dawnport-leavers from throwing their items back for use by Dawnport (and then Rookgaard) characters.
    • Players can no longer transfer items to Rookgaard. Rookgaard players, who have exploited this bug, have not lost the items obtained through the bug.
    • A bug, where players could attack (defenseless) players inside the outpost was fixed. Players should no longer be able to attack other players inside the outpost at all.
    • Players with level 20 and higher can no longer leave the temple.
    • The Orc Berserker, which rarely spawned deep in the orc cave, has been removed.

Bugs

The following is a list of items that could be obtained only through exploiting bugs. These are no longer obtainable except by trading with people, who already have them.

Explanation

  • Orc Berserker: once unintentionally spawned on the final floor of the Dawnport Orc Cave. This was a rare spawn.
  • Knight, Sorcerer, Druid, Paladin vocation chests: you could previously throw items from the Dawnport Harbor back to the north-western section of Dawnport. You obtain the items within the vocation chests and cannot go back once you have done so (your respawn is changed to the Dawnport Harbor if you teleport).
