Cooldowns are an extension of the Exhaust system governing spell incantation. They were implemented in Update 8.7 and are part of CipSoft's ongoing efforts to balance Vocations.

Individual Cooldowns[]

Almost all spells have individual cooldowns, the only exception being the party debuffs. Individual cooldowns varies from 1 second to 30 minutes, and is somehow proportional to the spell's power. For example, Knights can cast the Wound Cleansing spell once per second, but Intense Wound Cleansing only once every 10 minutes.

Runes do not have individual cooldowns and only affect their cooldown group for 2 seconds.

Cooldown Groups[]

There are 3 primary cooldown groups and 6 secondary cooldown groups:

Primary:

Secondary:

Every spell belongs to a primary cooldown group and might belong to a secondary spell group. The duration of their cooldowns may not be equal. For instance, when you cast Strong Ice Strike you will have to wait 8 seconds to cast this spell again, 8 seconds to cast any other special spell (like Strong Terra Strike) and 2 seconds to cast any attack spell. Some spells affect the group's cooldown differently, e.g. Ultimate Ice Strike has a 4 seconds attack group cooldown instead of 2 seconds like most attack spells.

Cooldown Bar[]

Cooldown Bar Cure Poison

Cooldown Bar immediately after casting Cure Poison.

The Cooldown Bar show the current status of your cooldowns. Once a spell is casted, an icon representing the spell will appear, and a small progress bar will start under it, displaying the cooldown. The groups that spell belongs to will become colored and a progress bar will also appear for them. If you place the cursor over the spell's icon it will show that spell's name and individual cooldown.

The Cooldown Bar can be hidden on OptionsGeneralShow Cooldown Bar.

You can also view your cooldowns on Action Bars. The Action Buttons affected by the active cooldowns can be set to display the remaining time numerically and/or visually.
