Cap

A character's capacity to carry items. As your level advances, you will be able to carry more items.
Knights have the highest capacity of all vocations, surpassing Paladins, while the Sorcerers and Druids are of the weakest constitution and therefore cannot carry as many items as other professions.
Your capacity is expressed in oz.

Increasing capacity[]

The base capacity stat of your character depends on the level and vocation. Capacity gained per level:

Moreover, you can temporarily increase your capacity by equipping a backpack with Featherweight imbuement:

Finally, you can raise your capacity by investing points in specific Wheel of Destiny slices and by socketing gems in Gem Atelier for their basic mods.

Economy[]

Since your capacity is limited, you will obviously want to use it as economically as possible.

Some top-tips to remember:

  • Empty Vials can be sold at magic stores, however, when you lack capacity, you are better throwing them away, as gold pieces have a higher value. The same goes for items you may loot.
  • Creature Products are better money-per-oz ratio than gold pieces are.
  • See Capacity Taken per Mana Point to see options for how to get the most mana regeneration for your capacity.

Overload[]

Your character can, in specific situations, carry more weight than your capacity. In such a case, your free capacity indicator turns into a red zero: 0. While overloaded, the character is not slowed down, but a few restrictions apply:

  • You cannot pick up or obtain any objects, but you can still organize your backpack and change your equipment.
  • Using a potion will leave a flask on the ground. The same goes for any object that changes identity (e.g., Flask of Demonic Blood).
  • The typical lack of enough capacity interactions may unexpectedly come into play: for instance, a paladin skinning a dragon would typically shot at least one ammunition piece, thus leaving space for a skinned leather.

There are a few ways to overload your character, which involve reducing your total capacity under the currently carried weight:

Warning[]

If you leave Rookgaard at at level 9 or 10, your Capacity as a Knight or Paladin will be less than that of Knights and Paladins who entered mainland at level 8. This effect will be permanent, unless your character is sent back to Rookgaard (this happens if you get degraded to level 5 on mainland).

Formula[]

To calculate the maximum number of capacity a player has at a certain level, see the Formula page.
