Vigintia (from Latin vigēns 'flourishing') was first introduced on 7 January 2017 as part of Tibia's 20th Anniversary and re-introduced in 7 January, 2019 as part of the yearly Tibia's Anniversary. it can be accessed by asking Kendra south of the Open-Air Theatre near Thais for passage. It is located here, north of Gray Island and north-east of Zao. It is moreover connected to the island of Nostalgia by means of a long bridge off the eastern coast.

The island features a Swimming Zone, a big tent where one can play a game of can knockdown, and a treasure hunting zone on the southern beach. The numerous market stands and assorted decorative items make clear that this island is the place to be for festivities. There are therefore no creatures roaming this island.

The game of can knockdown is run by Vigintius (located south of the big tent), who also controls access to the treasure hunting zone. Lora, on the other hand, can give every character a small celebratory reward based on its age (creation date) and can be found near a smaller tent to the west.

Can Knockdown[]

Market Stand (Stacked)
If you fancy a game of can knockdown, just ask Vigintius for can and he will charge you 100 gp for one throw. Make your way north into the big tent and you will see two market stands containing ten neatly stacked cans each. Walk up to either and watch the cross move and change colour to indicate position of impact and your chances of winning the better prizes. Once you've decided at which of the three crosses you want your pebble to end up, use the right side of the stand to make one or more cans disappear. You can now collect your reward from Vigintius by asking for reward and indicating whether you deserve the bronze prize, the silver prize, the gold prize, or the main prize. The more cans you've knocked down, the better a prize you deserve.

Treasure Hunting[]

Vigintia has a treasure cove to the south-west; ask Vigintius to go treasure hunting and he will charge you 150 gold for 90 seconds of digging. The 90 seconds begins when using the Closed Fence Gate Closed Fence Gate to enter the treasure cove. You will be teleported out when your 90 seconds are up, but you can leave any time by using the Closed Fence Gate Closed Fence Gate again. You can only dig with a Shovel, Light Shovels and Secret Agent Tools do not work; note that a Shovel can be purchased by asking Vigintius for a trade. Simply use the Shovel on a tile to have a chance to dig something up. The items you can dig up are:

  • Some Wood Some Wood (You dig up some driftwood. But you are confident that you will find something precious soon.);
  • Fishbone Fishbone (You dig up a fishbone. But you are confident that you will find something precious soon.);
  • Starfish (Item) Starfish (You dig up a lonely starfish. But you are confident that you will find something precious soon.);
  • Shell (Item) Shell (You dig up a sea shell. At least it might be tasty. But you are confident that you will find something precious soon.);
  • Filthy Bunnyslippers Filthy Bunnyslippers (You have found bunnyslippers which were buried in the sand. But they look rather filthy.);
  • Rusty Winged Helmet Rusty Winged Helmet (You have found a winged helmet which was buried in the sand. But it looks rather rusty.);
  • Tatty Dragon Scale Legs Tatty Dragon Scale Legs (You have found dragon scale legs which were buried in the sand. But they look rather tatty.);
  • White Pearl 3 White Pearls (You have found some pearls!);
  • Coral Brooch Coral Brooch (You have found a coral brooch!);
  • Gold Nugget Gold Nugget (You have found a gold nugget!).

It's also possible to dig up nothing (You dig up nothing. But you are confident that you will find something precious soon.).

There is a limit of digging 101 times in 20 hours. If this limit is exceeded, the message Your arms hurt from your efforts to find treasures on this beach. You should have a break. Return in some hours. appears. If digging is attempted again before 20 hours pass, the attempt will fail with the message Your arms still hurt from your efforts to find treasures on this beach. You should have a break. Return later. Failing to dig until exhaustion will result in the number of digs never being reset. For this reason, it's recommended to enter the treasure cove twice or more until you receive the exhaustion message.

Show/Hide Technical Details

At a minimum, there are two character flags applied for this mechanic. The first, is a dig_count flag which specifies how many times the player has dug for treasure. The second is a timestamp of the last exhaustion. The time_exhaustion flag is set when digging for the 101st or 102nd time. When using the Closed Fence Gate Closed Fence Gate, the server checks if ((current_time - time_exhaustion) > 20 hours and dig_count > 100). If both these conditions are matched, dig_count is set to 0, allowing the player to dig again.
